Abstract:Mechanical automation means that in the absence of human intervention the mechanical instrument can automatically perform the work process according to pre-designed procedures or instructions. Mechanical automation has a wide range of applications in a number of areas with their application space. It has played an important role in promoting human applications and transformation of nature. Foreign countries, as early as in the industrial revolution period, have begun the construction of mechanical automation. China started such process later and achieved great success, which is still far behind the development of mechanical automation in the developed countries. Therefore, this paper studies the mechanical automation technology development trends based on the technical characteristics. First it described the design principles of mechanical automation, analyzed the design of the program reasoner, and put forward several mechanical automation technology application strategies, which would serve as reference for China’s mechanical automation technology.
