Abstract:Text to speech conversion is one of major natural language processing application. Such kind of application work as the Interface to perform the communication between two different information representations, one is the text and other is speech. The major advantage of the work is to provide the globalization by providing the effective communication between two parties. The presented work is defined in three main aspects. First aspect is to convert the English text to English speech. Such kind of work is beneficial for the person who cannot speak, by using the presented work, the voice communication is possible by such kind of persons. Another work provided here is the regional language to speech conversion. It is beneficial for the regional persons who to perform the voice communication by using the presented aspect. The third and most important aspect is the integration of the presented system on android environment. The android environment is the most common and the popular platform used in mobile devices so that the application can be attached to a mobile phone or the system so that the effective communication will be performed. In this work, an algorithmic approach is been implemented to perform the T2S conversion. At the earlier stage the preprocessing is done on input text. According to this, the input text is splitted to the individual words as well as the classification of the work is done. Once the classification is performed, the next work is to identify the phonetic equivalent of the individual words. Once the phonetic equalivalent is obtained, the next work is to connect it with the lookup library to identify the voice representation of that specific word. At the final stage, the library connected to produce the person specific voice. The whole work is performed on the android environment and the lookup table and the voice conversion libraries are used that provided by the android environment itself. The work is presented in a user friendly environment so that the reliable and effective communication will be performed.
