Abstract:Exploring chemistry in experimentis one of the scientific core curriculums of general education in our university.In this course,the content of the carefully selected experiments covers the knowledge of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistiy,analytical chemistry and polymer chemistry.The teaching process includes lectures in classroom, reading,group and class discussion,post-lab excises and practice in- and out-laboratory.Diverse teaching methods and the teaching design applied in this course are helpful to initiate the students to learn the knowledge in different fields,to widen their knowledge,learn to think scientifically,experience to persistently explore and solve scientific problems,and consciously learn new knowledge.Meanwhile,the students are also expected to cooperate with others,to improve the experimental skills and communication capabilities.Actually,the experimental course boosts the students' interest,and is very helpful to improve the students' development in knowledge,emotion and ability.
