Abstract:Plants utilize phenotypic plasticity to adapt to prevailing environmental conditions. This work demonstrates that manipulation of phytochrome B- and EARLY FLOWERING3-regulated signaling pathways can limit phenotypic plasticity with respect to light and temperature signals. This has implications for future crop development by enabling consistent plant growth and development despite the effects of climate change.
