Abstract:There are exponential operators which are defined on the whole real line, namely, the Ismail–May operators (Tnf)(x) , connected to 1+x2 , and the Gauss–Weierstrass operators (Wnf)(x) , connected with 1. Here we consider the composition Vn:=Tn∘Wn of these two operators and observe that the composition operator is not of exponential type operator. We find moment‐generating functions and moments of these operators and estimate some point‐wise convergence of these operators using the characteristic function. We also estimate quantitative Voronovskaya type asymptotic formula and error estimation. Also, the difference of the composition operators Vn with its components Tn and Wn is estimated in terms of modulus of continuity. Finally, we provide some graphs to see visualize the convergence by considering the function x2e2x .

Abstract:Let $\varphi_j$, $j=1,2, \dots, N$, be holomorphic self-maps of the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ of $\mathbb{C}$. We prove that the compactness of a linear combination of the composition operators $C_{\varphi_j}: f\mapsto f\circ\varphi_j$ on the Hardy space $H^p(\mathbb{D})$ does not depend on $p$ for $0<p<\infty$. This answers a conjecture of Choe et al. about the compact differences $C_{\varphi_1} - C_{\varphi_2}$ on $H^p(\mathbb{D})$, $0<p<\infty$.

The relation between the rate of approximation of sequence operators including Dunkl variant of exponential function with first and second-order modulus of continuity are shown. Abstract:This paper aims at approximation of functions by linear integral operators on variable exponent spaces associated with a general exponent function on a domain of a Euclidean space. Under a log-Hölder continuity assumption of the exponent function, we present quantitative estimates for the approximation and solve an open problem raised in our earlier work. As applications of our key estimates, we provide high orders of approximation by quasi-interpolation type and linear combinations of Bernstein type integral operators on variable exponent spaces. We also introduce K-functionals and moduli of smoothness on variable exponent spaces and discuss their relationships and applications.

Abstract:In this paper, we address a discrete operator based on the composition of Ismail–May operator and Szász–Mirakjan operator and study its approximation properties for various classes of continuous functions using Taylor's formula. We estimate its moments and further give direct theorems employing Peetre's K‐functional and the modulus of continuity. Furthermore, Voronovskaja‐type asymptotic theorems are given. Additionally, we provide further compositions and give a comparison among their approximation properties.

Abstract:We study a notion analogous to the $p$-Approximation Property ($p$-AP) for Banach spaces, within the noncommutative context of operator spaces. Referred to as the $p$-Operator Approximation Property ($p$-OAP), this concept is linked to the ideal of operator $p$-compact mappings. We present several equivalent characterizations based on the density of finite-rank mappings within specific spaces for different topologies, and also one in terms of a slice mapping property. Additionally, we investigate how this property transfers from the dual or bidual to the original space. As an application, the $p$-OAP for the reduced $C^*$-algebra of a discrete group implies that operator $p$-compact Herz-Schur multipliers can be approximated in $\cb$-norm by finitely supported multipliers.

Abstract:This article investigates the convergence properties of s-numbers of certain truncations of bounded linear operators between Banach spaces. We derive a generalized version of a convergence result known for approximation numbers of truncations of operators in this regard. Utilizing the interrelation between approximation numbers and other prominent s-numbers of an operator, along with the generalized convergence result, we obtain the desired convergence of s-numbers of truncated operators to those of the original operator. Some illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the convergence results and also to establish the essentiality of certain assumptions made in deriving the results

Abstract:In this paper, the properties of general fuzzy approximation operators are studied, and the concept of composition of two general fuzzy approximation spaces in the rough set theory is given. The relationships between the approximation operators in the composite space and in the two fuzzy approximation spaces are discussed. It is proved that the approximation operators in the composite space are just the composition of the approximation operators in the two fuzzy approximation spaces.

Abstract:In the present paper, we deal with some general estimates for the difference of operators which are associated with different fundamental functions. In order to exemplify the theoretical results presented in (for example) Theorem 2, we provide the estimates of the differences between some of the most representative operators used in Approximation Theory in especially the difference between the Baskakov and the Szász–Mirakyan operators, the difference between the Baskakov and the Szász–Mirakyan–Baskakov operators, the difference of two genuine-Durrmeyer type operators, and the difference of the Durrmeyer operators and the Lupaş–Durrmeyer operators. By means of illustrative numerical examples, we show that, for particular cases, our result improves the estimates obtained by using the classical result of Shisha and Mond. We also provide the symmetry aspects of some of these approximations operators which we have studied in this paper.
