Abstract:For a basic classical Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak s$, let $\mathfrak g$ be the central extension of the Takiff superalgebra $\mathfrak s\otimes\Lambda(\theta)$, where $\theta$ is an odd indeterminate. We study the category of $\mathfrak g$-Whittaker modules associated with a nilcharacter $\chi$ of $\mathfrak g$ and show that it is equivalent to the category of $\mathfrak s$-Whittaker modules associated with a nilcharacter of $\mathfrak s$ determined by $\chi$. In the case when $\chi$ is regular, we obtain, as an application, an equivalence between the categories of modules over the supersymmetric finite $W$-algebras associated to the odd principal nilpotent element at non-critical levels and the category of the modules over the principal finite $W$-superalgebra associated to $\mathfrak s$. Here, a supersymmetric finite $W$-algebra is conjecturally the Zhu algebra of a supersymmetric affine $W$-algebra. This allows us to classify and construct irreducible representations of a principal finite supersymmetric $W$-algebra.

Abstract:In this paper, we define and study Whittaker modules for the super-Viraoro algebras, including the Neveu-Schwarz algebra and the Ramond algebra. We classify the simple Whittaker modules and obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for irreducibility of these modules.

Abstract:In this paper, we construct a large class of new simple modules over the twisted $N=2$ superconformal algebra. These new simple modules are restricted modules based on the simple modules over certain finite-dimensional solvable Lie superalgebras, including various versions of Whittaker modules. We elaborate that they are also the twisted modules for the universal $N=2$ superconformal vertex algebra. On the other hand, we give an explicit characterization of the simple restricted modules over the twisted $N=2$ superconformal algebra $\mathcal{T}$ under the condition that $T_t$ in $\mathcal{T}$ acts injectively for some $t\in \frac{1}{2}+\Z_+$.

Abstract:We show that, for an arbitrary finite-dimensional quasi-reductive Lie superalgebra over with a triangular decomposition and a character of the nilpotent radical, the associated Backelin functor sends Verma modules to standard Whittaker modules provided the latter exist. As a consequence, this gives a complete solution to the problem of determining the composition factors of the standard Whittaker modules in terms of composition factors of Verma modules in the category . In the case of the ortho-symplectic Lie superalgebras, we show that the Backelin functor and its target category, respectively, categorify a q-symmetrizing map and the corresponding q-symmetrized Fock space associated with a quasi-split quantum symmetric pair of type .

Abstract:We study the Whittaker category $\mathcal N(\zeta)$ of the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak g$ for an arbitrary character $\zeta$ of the even subalgebra of the nilpotent radical associated with a triangular decomposition of $\mathfrak g$. We prove that the Backelin functor from either the integral subcategory or any strongly typical block of the BGG category to the Whittaker category sends irreducible modules to irreducible modules or zero. The category $\mathcal N(\zeta)$ provides a suitable framework for studying finite $W$-superalgebras associated with an even principal nilpotent element. For the periplectic Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{p}(n)$, we formulate the principal finite $W$-superalgebras $W_\zeta$ and establish a Skryabin-type equivalence. For a basic classical and a strange Lie superalgebras, we prove that the category of finite-dimensional modules over a given principal finite $W$-superalgebra $W_\zeta$ is equivalent to $\mathcal N(\zeta)$ under the Skryabin equivalence, for a non-singular character $\zeta$. As a consequence, we give a super analogue of Soergel's Struktursatz for a certain Whittaker functor from the integral BGG category $\mathcal O$ to the category of finite-dimensional modules over $W_\zeta$.

Irreducible modules over N=2 superconformal algebras from algebraic D-modules

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a family of functors denoted $\mathscr{F}_b$ that act on algebraic D-modules and generate modules over N=2 superconformal algebras. We prove these functors preserve irreducibility for all values of $b$, with a few clear exceptions described. We also establish necessary and sufficient conditions to determine when two such functors are naturally isomorphic. Applying $\mathscr{F}_b$ to N=1 super-Virasoro algebras recovers the functors previously introduced in \cite{CDLP}. Our new functors also facilitate the recovery of specific irreducible modules over N=2 superconformal algebras, including intermediate series and $U(\mathfrak{h})$-free modules. Additionally, our constructed functors produce several new irreducible modules for N=2 superconformal algebras.

Abstract:For any , we introduce a Whittaker category whose objects are -modules M such that acts locally nilpotently on M for all , and the subspace is finite dimensional. In this paper, we first give a tensor product decomposition of the localization of with respect to the Ore subset S generated by . We show that the associative algebra W is isomorphic to the type finite W -algebra W ( e ) defined by a minimal nilpotent element e in . Then using W -modules as a bridge, we show that each block with a generalized central character of is equivalent to the corresponding block of the cuspidal category , which is completely characterized by Grantcharov and Serganova. As a consequence, each regular integral block of and the category of finite dimensional modules over W ( e ) can be described by a well-studied quiver with certain quadratic relations.

On modular invariance of quantum affine $W$-algebras

Abstract:We find modular transformations of normalized characters for the following $W$-algebras: (a) $W^{min}_k(\frak{g})$, where $\frak{g}=D_n \, (n \geq 4)$, or $E_6$, $E_7$, $E_8$, and $k$ is a negative integer $\geq -2$, or $\geq -\frac{h^{\vee}}{6}-1$, respectively; (b) quantum Hamiltonian reduction of the $\hat{\frak{g}}$-module $L(k\Lambda_0)$, where $\frak{g}$ is a simple Lie algebra, $f$ is its non-zero nilpotent element, and $k$ is a principal admissible level with the denominator $u > \theta(x)$, where $2x$ is the Dynkin characteristic of $f$ and $\theta$ is the highest root of $\frak{g}$. We prove that these vertex algebras are modular invariant. A conformal vertex algebra is called modular invariant if its character $tr_V q^{L_0-c/24}$ converges to a holomorphic modular function in the complex upper half-plane on a congruence subgroup. We find explicit formulas for their characters. Modular invariance of $V$ is important since, in particular, conjecturally it implies that $V$ is simple, and that $V$ is rational, provided that it is lisse.

Abstract:We establish a super duality as an equivalence between Whittaker module categories over a pair of classical Lie algebra and Lie superalgebra in the infinite-rank limit. Building on this result and utilizing the Losev-Shu-Xiao decomposition, we obtain a super duality which is an equivalence between module categories over a pair of finite $W$-algebras and $W$-superalgebras at the infinite-rank limit.

Abstract:For any $\mathbf{a}=(a_1,\dots,a_n)\in \mathbb{C}^n$, we introduce a Whittaker category $\mathcal{H}_{\mathbf{a}}$ whose objects are $\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1}$-modules $M$ such that $e_{0i}-a_i$ acts locally nilpotently on $M$ for all $i \in \{1,\dots,n\}$, and the subspace $\mathrm{wh}_{\mathbf{a}}(M)=\{v\in M \mid e_{0i} v=a_iv, \ i=1,\dots,n\}$ is finite dimensional. In this paper, we first give a tensor product decomposition $U_S=W\otimes B$ of the localization $U_S$ of $U(\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1})$ with respect to the Ore subset $S$ generated by $e_{01},\dots, e_{0n}$. We show that the associative algebra $W$ is isomorphic to the type $A_n$ finite $W$-algebra $W(e)$ defined by a minimal nilpotent element $e$ in $\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1}$. Abstract:In this paper, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) = H(e(i), f(i), k(i)(+/- 1))(1 <= i <= m)., on the coordinate algebra of quantum vector spaces are studied. We denote the coordinate algebra of quantum n-dimensional vector space by A(q)(n). As our main result, first, we give a complete classification of module-algebra structures of U-p(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(3) when k(i) is an element of Aut L(A(q)(3)) as actions on A(q)(3) for i = 1,...,m and m >= 2 and with the same method, on A(q)(2), all module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) are characterized. Lastly, the module-algebra structures of U-q(sl(m + 1)) on A(q)(n) are obtained for any n >= 4.

Abstract:Let $\sg$ be a complex finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra and let $\sg_l$ be the corresponding generalized Takiff algebra. This paper studies the affine variety $\ssf+\sb_l$ where $\ssf$ is similar to a principal nilpotent element of $\sg$ and $\sb_l$ is a subalgebra corresponding to the Borel subalgebra $\sb$ of $\sg$. Inspired by Kostant's work then we deal with two questions. One of them is to construct the Whittaker model for the $G_l$-invariants of symmetric algebra $S(\sg_l)$ where $G_l$ is the adjoint group of $\sg_l$ and $G_l$ acts on $S(\sg_l)$ by coadjoint action, and then to classify all nonsingular Whittaker modules over $\sg_l$. Another one is to describe the symplectic structure of the manifold $Z\subseteq\ssf+\sb_l$ of normalized Jacobi elements. Then the Hamiltonian corresponding to a fundamental invariant provides a class of hyperbolic Toda lattices. In particular, a simplest example describes the state of a dynamical system consisting of a positive mass particle and a negative mass particle.

Abstract:In <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1811.04649" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1811.04649">arXiv:1811.04649</a>, we extended the Dong-Mason theorem on irreducibility of modules for cyclic orbifold vertex algebras to the entire category weak modules and applied this result to Whittaker modules. In this paper we present further generalizations of these results for nonabelian orbifolds of vertex operator superalgebras. Let $V$ be a vertex superalgebra with a countable dimension and let $G$ be a finite subgroup of $\mathrm{Aut}(V)$. Assume that $h\in Z(G)$ where $Z(G)$ is the center of the group $G$. For any irreducible $h$-twisted (weak) $V$-module $M$, we prove that if $M\not\cong g\circ M$ for all $g\in G$ then $M$ is also irreducible as $V^G$-module. We also apply this result to examples and give irreducibility of modules of Whittaker type for orbifolds of Neveu-Schwarz vertex superalgebras, Heisenberg vertex algebras, Virasoro vertex operator algebra and Heisenberg-Virasoro vertex algebra.

Abstract:We classify all possible occurrences of Kazama-Suzuki duality between the $N=2$ superconformal algebra $L^{N=2}_c$ and the subregular algebra $\mathcal{W}$-algebra $\mathcal{W}_{k}(sl_4, f_{sub})$. We establish a new Kazama-Suzuki duality between the subregular $\mathcal{W}$-algebra $\mathcal{W}^k(sl_4, f_{\text{sub}})$ and the the $N = 2$ superconformal algebra $L^{N=2}_{c}$ for $c=-15$. As a consequence of duality, we classify the irreducible $\mathcal{W}_{k=-1}(sl_4, f_{\text{sub}})$-modules.

Abstract:We introduce generalized global Weyl modules and relate their graded characters to nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials and nonsymmetric $q$-Whittaker functions. In particular, we show that the series part of the nonsymmetric $q$-Whittaker function is a generating function for the graded characters of generalized global Weyl modules.
