Abstract:Amaya et al. use in vivo electrophysiology and cell-type-specific manipulations to probe the role of the BLA in reward behaviors. They find that beta power is elevated after reward learning and manipulation of parvalbumin-expressing interneurons can influence seeking, concluding that BLA microcircuitry is vital to these behaviors.
