Abstract:The giant panda is a rare species in China,and the parasite was one of serious diseases for it.To date,there are 26 parasites to be found,and the Baylisasaris was most prevalence and seriously.In this paper,the route of transmission,epidemic factors,process of infection,the damage and prevention measures of the Baylisasaris which is the obligate parasites of the giant panda were mainly introduced.Meanwhile,some other parasitoses which pose a threat to the giant panda such as acariasis,trough plate fluke disease and nkylostomiasis were also reviewed.
