Abstract:Objective To find out the clinical features,types of fungal infection,risk factors and prognosis of pulmonary fungal infection in the elderly patients.Methods 62 cases with pulmonary fungal infection from Jan 2006 to Jul 2008 in the central hospital of mianyang were retrospectively analyzed.Results Various predisposing diseases were found in all the cases,and COPD,diabetes and tumor were main predisposing diseases among them.Primary pulmonary fungal infection was rare.All the clinical manifestations of pulmonary fungal infection were not specific,blastocystis are showed mainly pathogenic mycetes type(98.39%) and monilina albicans was ranked the first pathogen(90.32%).The mortality was high.Conclusion Pulmonary fungal infection is an important cause of the secondary infection in many diseases.long-term use of antibiotics or glucocorticoid hormone,hypoproteinemia and diabetes may be frequent risk factors.The morbidity is rising.Clinicians should pay more attention to it.
