Abstract:High-speed urbanization and economic growth have made China the world's largest market for building industry and the building industry the pillar industry in the Chinese national economy With architectural design as its captain,the building industry needs supports and driving force from architectural design.However,the Chinese market for architectural design is becoming a huge cake under the very nose of and a test field for the various design techniques of the multinationals and well known foreign design offices.Problems in architectural design and process control are also exposed in quite a number of projects.The primary design right of a number of major projects representing the national image of China is in the hands of foreign architects and design firms,such as the National Grand Theatre,the National Stadium,China Central Television Station,the New Terminal of Capital International Airport. Like the manufacturing industry,the Chinese architectural design industry has become the low-end product and service provider with"Made in China"and"Built in China"for the foreign counterparts whose products and services featuring"Innovated Overseas"or"Designed Overseas".Obviously,Chinese design institutions are in a disadvantageous position in the industry chain.Furthermore, there are numerous experiences and lessons to draw upon from these major projects to make scientific and process-based decisions and set up a standardized quality control procedure in the course of architectural design.The massive loss and lessons of Wenchuan Earthquake made everyone aware that there remain many problems neglected or concealed in the industrial chain from design to construction. By studying advanced management practices of overseas counterparts,this article attempts to gradually set up a design quality control procedure based on ISO principles for the purpose of design process standardization.

Abstract:With the improvement of comprehensive development level, civil engineering is perceived a promoted position in the development of the whole market economy in China. Civil engineering is an important link for building construction. Good civil engineering construction management ensures the overall engineering quality control level. Through the reasonable analysis of construction standards, construction contents and construction steps of civil engineering, the actual construction control and management methods of civil engineering are defined, the effective control scheme of civil engineering quality is analyzed, and reasonable suggestions for solving problems are put forward, so as to realize effective control and management of civil engineering construction quality in China. This paper makes an analysis of the actual construction control and fully studies the measures and schemes of the actual construction quality control to improve the management efficiency of the construction quality control of civil engineering.

Abstract:Quality evaluation plays a very important part in Design For Quality (DFQ). Based on the concept of two types of quality and the model of DFQ by M.Morup, the author discusses four basic elements of quality evaluation in DFQ such as objects, rules or knowledge, valuator and scheduling (for the progress of desgin). This paper presents an elementary model of the quality evaluation process. This new model is focus the elementary strategy on activity planning, task representation and information organization which relate the quality evaluation process in order to make them simplification and more effective. It proposes a framework of computer aided quality evaluation system (CAQES) by using object-oriented techiques.

Abstract:TQM has been developed for several decades.However,there is a challenge for TQM in recent years,because many theories about quality were proposed such as ISO9000 quality management system,six sigma,business process re-engineering,etc.More modern manufacture technologies such as Concurrent Engineering and CIMS were widely used.The author believes that it is necessary to integrate those new theories about quality into TQM application system so that it is much more suitable to the modern manufacture environment.A framework of TQM application system for product life cycle was proposed and was analyzed and discussed in detail from the view of activity units,management manner,and process mode.

Abstract:The rapid development of our society has put forward higher requirements for engineering management technology and engineering quality. The relationship between project management and project quality is complementary and inseparable. Therefore, this paper first expounds the importance of strengthening project management and improving project quality, then analyzes the internal and external factors that affect project management and project quality, and then points out that there are problems in project management and project quality. There is a need for innovation in project management models. , The construction technology has not been innovated, and the engineering construction cost has not been effectively controlled. Abstract:Building decoration engineering is the secondary creation and improvement of the main structure of the building. Construction decoration engineering construction is the process of decoration design scheme into decoration entity. Its construction quality is not only constrained by the customer needs and the design scheme, but also needs to meet the relevant requirements of the national quality standards for building decoration engineering. The construction quality of building decoration project is affected by many factors. Starting from the definition and value of architectural decoration engineering, this paper interprets the quality requirements of architectural decoration engineering, and seeks for the elements affecting the quality of the project, as well as the correlation between the influencing elements. Then explore the quality control measures in the project construction, and elaborate from the perspective of the construction personnel management, construction technology improvement, design planning, construction planning and scientific management in the construction.

Abstract:The quality of architectural design mostly rested with the individual performance of architects in the past. Today, with the increasing development of technical level, the quality of a design project more than ever before entails the cooperation among different professions involved and the teamwork of a professional team. The engineers and scholars, however, tend to disregard the errors in cross-professional communication and the unnecessary duplicate labor which cause problems for the quality of design. Based on the theory of Total Quality Management systems, the thesis suggests that a series of feasible technical standards be established within an institute of architectural design for quality control. Specifically, we adopt the PDCA cycle by dividing it into four stages: Planning of technical standards, Doing of technical standards, Checking of technical standards, and Acting of technical standards. Finally, this essay will make a conclusion and give some suggestions on technical standard-setting.

Abstract:In this article, authors study the four characteristics of concrete buildings during construction. They are complex of procedures, transition and mar of procedural product, and time dependent of concrete buildings during construction. Abstract:Abstract As our country’s pillar industry and strategic industry, the healthy development of the building industry directly affects China’s national economy. From the perspective of building practice, China’s construction enterprises carry out engineering management based on the traditional “person governance” management method, which makes the quality of construction engineering always at a low level. Even in the LE project, the “tofu” building has appeared. Thus it puts forward higher requirements to building construction enterprises, urging them to study scientific quality management theories and methods and put them into use, to improve the quality of construction management level and then build more high-quality buildings. This paper briefly analyzes the present situation of LE construction quality management, and mainly expounds the application of quality management methods with the computer-aided in LE engineering construction, so that LE engineering construction enterprises can improve quality management efficiency and achieve sustainable and healthy development of construction engineering industry.

Abstract:From a theoretical standpoint, quality management and safety management programs have similar characteristics. In construction work, a company's ability to deliver a quality product in a safe manner is the key to business success. In order to better understand what contributes to successful quality and safety programs in construction, a literature review was conducted using general, engineering, and business literature search engines. In all, 49 articles were found: 18 articles on safety, 26 articles on quality, and five articles on safety and quality. Overall, the literature supports the use of integrated safety and quality management in construction. However, according to the literature, there are three primary barriers to the success of quality management in construction projects: ‘shoddy’ implementation, the nature of construction work, and the industry itself.
