Abstract:In Reply We appreciate the thoughtful letters regarding our research into the gaps along the vision screening pathway. Drawing from her personal childhood experience with vision screening in rural Arkansas, Dr Jarrett illustrated the association of early intervention for uncorrected refractive error with her academic achievement and overall career trajectory. Her narrative highlights the important role of school-based vision care, especially for children who may otherwise have limited access to clinical resources.
