Abstract:Single crystals of MgB2 with a size up to 1.5x0.9x0.2 mm3 have been grown with a high pressure cubic anvil technique. The crystal growth process is very peculiar and involves an intermediate nitride, namely MgNB9. Single crystals of BN and MgB2 grow simultaneously by a peritectic decomposition of MgNB9. Magnetic measurements in fields of 1-5 Oe show sharp transitions to the superconducting state at 37-38.6 K with width of ~0.5 K. The high quality of the crystals allowed the accurate determination of magnetic, transport and optical properties as well as scanning tunnelling spectroscopy (STS) and decoration studies. Investigations of crystals with torque magnetometry show that Hc2//c is very low (24 kOe at 15 K), while Hc2//ab increases up to 140 kOe at 15 K. The upper critical field anisotropy gamma = Hc2//ab/ Hc2//c was found to be temperature dependent (decreasing from 6 at 15 K to 2.8 at 35 K). The effective anisotropy gamma_eff, as calculated from reversible torque data near Tc, is field dependent (increasing roughly linearly from 2 in zero field to 3.7 in 10 kOe). The temperature and field dependence of the anisotropy can be related to the double gap structure of MgB2 with a large two-dimensional gap and small three-dimensional gap, the latter being rapidly suppressed in a magnetic field. Torque magnetometry investigations show a pronounced peak effect, indicating an order-disorder transition of vortex matter. Decoration experiments and STS visualise a hexagonal vortex lattice. STS spectra evidence two gaps (3 meV/6 meV) with direction dependent weight. Magneto-optic investigations with H//c show a clear signature of the smaller of the two gaps, disappearing in fields higher than Hc2//c.

Abstract:Omni-Lie algebroids are generalizations of Alan Weinstein's omni-Lie algebras. A Dirac structure in an omni-Lie algebroid 𝔇E ⊕ 𝔍E is necessarily a Lie algebroid together with a representation on E. We study the geometry underlying these Dirac structures in the light of reduction theory. In particular, we prove that there is a one-to-one correspondence between reducible Dirac structures and projective Lie algebroids in [Formula: see text]; we establish the relation between the normalizer NL of a reducible Dirac structure L and the derivation algebra Der (b (L)) of the projective Lie algebroid b(L); we study the cohomology group H •(L, ρL) and the relation between NL and H 1(L, ρL); we describe Lie bialgebroids using the adjoint representation; we study the deformation of a Dirac structure L, which is related with H 2(L, ρL).

Abstract:Considering a Poisson algebra as a non associative algebra satisfying the Markl-Remm identity, we study deformations of Poisson algebras as deformations of this non associative algebra. This gives a natural interpretation of deformations which preserves the underlying associative structure and we study deformations which preserve the underlying Lie algebra.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to deal with general Dirac structures of an omni-Lie algebroid E = DE ⊕ JE for a vector bundle E. The main result is that there is a one-to-one correspondence between reducible Dirac structures of E and projective Lie algebroids in TM⊕E. Some properties of a Dirac structure are also discussed including its normalizer, deformation and cohomology.

Abstract:We begin with a short presentation of the basic concepts related to Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids, but the main part of this paper deals with Lie algebroids. A Lie algebroid over a manifold is a vector bundle over that manifold whose properties are very similar to those of a tangent bundle. Its dual bundle has properties very similar to those of a cotangent bundle: in the graded algebra of sections of its external powers, one can define an operator similar to the exterior derivative. We present the theory of Lie derivatives, Schouten-Nijenhuis brackets and exterior derivatives in the general setting of a Lie algebroid, its dual bundle and their exterior powers. All the results (which, for their most part, are already known) are given with detailed proofs. In the final sections, the results are applied to Poisson manifolds, whose links with Lie algebroids are very close.

Abstract:In this letter, first we give a decomposition for any Lie-Poisson structure $\pi_g$ associated to the modular vector. In particular, $\pi_g$ splits into two compatible Lie-Poisson structures if $dim{g} \leq 3$. As an application, we classified quadratic deformations of Lie-Poisson structures on $\mathbb R^3$ up to linear diffeomorphisms.

Abstract:For a connected abelian Lie group T acting on a Poisson manifold (Y,{\pi}) by Poisson isomorphisms, the T-leaves of {\pi} in Y are, by definition, the orbits of the symplectic leaves of {\pi} under T, and the leaf stabilizer of a T-leaf is the subspace of the Lie algebra of T that is everywhere tangent to all the symplectic leaves in the T-leaf. In this paper, we first develop a general theory on T-leaves and leaf stabilizers for a class of Poisson structures defined by Lie bialgebra actions and quasitriangular r-matrices. We then apply the general theory to four series of holomorphic Poisson structures on products of flag varieties and related spaces of a complex semi-simple Lie group G. We describe their T-leaf decompositions, where T is a maximal torus of G, in terms of (open) extended Richardson varieties and extended double Bruhat cells associated to conjugacy classes of G, and we compute their leaf stabilizers and the dimension of the symplectic leaves in each T -leaf.

Abstract: In this paper, we explore natural connections among the representations of the extended affine Lie algebra $\widehat{sl_N}(\mathbb{C}_q)$ with $\mathbb{C}_q=\mathbb{C}_q[t_0^{\pm1},t_1^{\pm1}]$ an irrational quantum 2-torus, the simple affine vertex algebra $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)$ with $\ell$ a positive integer, and Levi subgroups $G$ of $GL_\ell(\mathbb{C})$. First, we give a canonical isomorphism between the category of integrable restricted $\widehat{sl_N}(\mathbb{C}_q)$-modules of level $\ell$ and that of equivariant quasi $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)$-modules. Second, we classify irreducible $\mathbb{N}$-graded equivariant quasi $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)$-modules. Third, we establish a duality between irreducible $\mathbb{N}$-graded equivariant quasi $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)$-modules and irreducible regular $G$-modules on certain fermionic Fock spaces. Fourth, we obtain an explicit realization of every irreducible $\mathbb{N}$-graded equivariant quasi $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)$-module. Fifth, we completely determine the following branchings: 1 The branching from $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell,0)\otimes L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell',0)$ to $L_{\widehat{sl_{\infty}}}(\ell+\ell',0)$ for quasi modules. 2 The branching from $\widehat{sl_N}(\mathbb{C}_q)$ to its Levi subalgebras. 3 The branching from $\widehat{sl_N}(\mathbb{C}_q)$ to its subalgebras $\widehat{sl_N}(\mathbb{C}_q[t_0^{\pm M_0},t_1^{\pm M_1}])$.

Abstract:The Levi theorem tells us that every finite-dimensional Lie algebra is the semi-direct product of a semi-simple Lie algebra and a solvable Lie algebra. Brieskorn gave the connection between simple Lie algebras and simple singularities. Simple Lie algebras have been well understood, but not the solvable (nilpotent) Lie algebras. Therefore, it is important to establish connections between singularities and solvable (nilpotent) Lie algebras. In this paper, we give a new connection between nilpotent Lie algebras and nilradicals of derivation Lie algebras of isolated complete intersection singularities. As an application, we obtain the correspondence between the nilpotent Lie algebras of dimension less than or equal to 7 and the nilradicals of derivation Lie algebras of isolated complete intersection singularities with modality less than or equal to 1. Moreover, we give a new characterization theorem for zero-dimensional simple complete intersection singularities.
Cyclic wide subalgebras of semisimple Lie algebras

Abstract:Let $\mathfrak{s}$ $\ltimes$ $\mathfrak{r}$ be a Levi decomposable Lie algebra, with Levi factor $\mathfrak{s}$, and radical $\mathfrak{r}$. A module $V$ of $\mathfrak{s}$ $\ltimes$ $\mathfrak{r}$ is cyclic indecomposable if it is indecomposable and the quotient module $V /\mathfrak{r}\cdot V$ is a simple $\mathfrak{s}$-module. A Levi decomposable subalgebra of a semisimple Lie algebra is cyclic wide if the restriction of every simple module of the semisimple Lie algebra to the subalgebra is cyclic indecomposable. We establish a condition for a regular Levi decomposable subalgebra of a semisimple Lie algebra to be cyclic wide. Then, in the case of a regular Levi decomposable subalgebra whose radical is an ad-nilpotent subalgebra, we show that the condition is necessary and sufficient for the subalgebra to be cyclic wide. All Lie algebras, and modules in this article are finite-dimensional, and over the complex numbers.

Abstract:The degenerations of Poisson-type algebras are studied in the following varieties in dimension two: Leibniz--Poisson algebras, transposed Leibniz--Poisson algebras, Novikov--Poisson algebras, commutative pre-Lie algebras, anti-pre-Lie Poisson algebras and pre-Poisson algebras. For these varieties, the algebraic and geometric classifications are given. Also, the complete graph of degenerations is obtained, together with the description of the orbit closures of each of its algebras and parametric families up to isomorphism.

Abstract:The semi-classical data attached to stacks of algebroids in the sense of Kashiwara and Kontsevich are Maurer-Cartan elements on complex manifolds, which we call extended Poisson structures as they generalize holomorphic Poisson structures. A canonical Lie algebroid is associated to each Maurer-Cartan element. We study the geometry underlying these Maurer-Cartan elements in the light of Lie algebroid theory. In particular, we extend Lichnerowicz-Poisson cohomology and Koszul-Brylinski homology to the realm of extended Poisson manifolds; we establish a sufficient criterion for these to be finite dimensional; we describe how homology and cohomology are related through the Evens-Lu-Weinstein duality module; and we describe a duality on Koszul-Brylinski homology, which generalizes the Serre duality of Dolbeault cohomology.

Abstract:A theorem of Lurie and Pridham establishes a correspondence between formal moduli problems and differential graded Lie algebras in characteristic zero, thereby formalising a well-known principle in deformation theory. We introduce a variant of differential graded Lie algebras, called partition Lie algebras, in arbitrary characteristic. We then explicitly compute the homotopy groups of free algebras, which parametrise operations. Finally, we prove generalisations of the Lurie-Pridham correspondence classifying formal moduli problems via partition Lie algebras over an arbitrary field, as well as over a complete local base.

Abstract:Refining an idea of Rosenmann and Rosset we show that the now widely studied classical Leavitt algebra $L_K(1,n)$ over a field $K$ is a ring of right quotients of the unital free associative algebra of rank $n$ with respect to the perfect Gabriel topology defined by powers of an ideal of codimension 1, providing a conceptual, variable-free description of $L_K(1, n)$. This result puts Leavitt (path) algebras on the frontier of important research areas in localization theory, free ideal rings and their automorphism groups, quiver algebras and graph operator algebras. As applications one obtains a short, transparent proof for the module type $(1,n)\, (n\geq 2)$ of Leavitt algebra $L_K(1, n)\, (n\geq 2)$, and the fact that Leavitt path algebras of finite graphs are rings of quotients of corresponding ordinary quiver algebras with respect to the perfect Gabriel topology defined by powers of the ideal generated by all arrows and sinks. In particular, the Jacobson algebra of one-sided inverses, that is, the Toeplitz algebra, can also be realized as a flat ring of quotients, further illuminating the rich structure of these beautiful, useful algebras.

Abstract:We compute the formal Poisson cohomology groups of a real Poisson structure $\pi$ on $\mathbb{C}^2$ associated to the Lefschetz singularity $(z_1, z_2)\mapsto z_1^2+z_2^2$. In particular we correct an erroneous computation in the literature. The definition of $\pi$ depends on a choice of volume form. Using the main result we formally classify all Poisson structure arising from different choices of volume forms.

Abstract:We study the shifted analogue of the “Lie–Poisson” construction for L_∞ algebroids and we prove that any L_∞ algebroid naturally gives rise to shifted derived Poisson manifolds. We also investigate derived Poisson structures from a purely algebraic perspective and, in particular, we establish a homotopy transfer theorem for derived Poisson algebras. As an application, we prove that, given a Lie pair ( L , A ), the space totΩ ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) admits a degree (+1) derived Poisson algebra structure with the wedge product as associative multiplication and the Chevalley–Eilenberg differential d_A^Bott:Ω ^∙_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A))→Ω ^∙ +1_A(Λ ^∙ (L/A)) as unary L_∞ bracket. Formal deformations, cohomology theory and $L_\infty[1]$-structures for differential Lie algebras of arbitrary weight

Abstract:Generalising a previous work of Jiang and Sheng, a cohomology theory for differential Lie algebras of arbitrary weight is introduced. The underlying $L_\infty[1]$-structure on the cochain complex is also determined via a generalised version of higher derived brackets. The equivalence between $L_\infty[1]$-structures for absolute and relative differential Lie algebras are established. Formal deformations and abelian extensions are interpreted by using lower degree cohomology groups. Also we introduce the homotopy differential Lie algebras. In a forthcoming paper, we will show that the operad of homotopy (relative) differential Lie algebras is the minimal model of the operad of (relative) differential Lie algebras.

Abstract:This is the first part of our work on Zariski decomposition structures, where we study Zariski decompositions using Legendre–Fenchel type transforms. In this way we define a Zariski decomposition for curve classes. This decomposition enables us to develop the theory of the volume function for curves defined by the second named author, yielding some fundamental positivity results for curve classes. For varieties with special structures, the Zariski decomposition for curve classes admits an interesting geometric interpretation.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the representation of modified $\lambda$-differential $3$-Lie algebras and define the cohomology of modified $\lambda$-differential $3$-Lie algebras with coefficients in a representation. As applications of the proposed cohomology theory, we study linear deformations, abelian extensions and $T^*$-extensions of modified $\lambda$-differential $3$-Lie algebras.

Abstract:In $p$-adic Hodge theory and the $p$-adic Langlands program, Banach spaces with $\mathbb{Q}_p$-coefficients and $p$-adic Lie group actions are central. Studying the subrepresentation of $\Gamma$-locally analytic vectors, $W^{\mathrm{la}}$, is useful because $W^{\mathrm{la}}$ can be analyzed via the Lie algebra $\mathrm{Lie}(\Gamma)$, which simplifies the action of $\Gamma$. Additionally, $W^{\mathrm{la}}$ often behaves as a decompletion of $W$, making it closer to an algebraic or geometric object. This article introduces a notion of locally analytic vectors for $W$ in a mixed characteristic setting, specifically for $\mathbb{Z}_p$-Tate algebras. This generalization encompasses the classical definition and also specializes to super-Hölder vectors in characteristic $p$. Using binomial expansions instead of Taylor series, this new definition bridges locally analytic vectors in characteristic $0$ and $p$. Our main theorem shows that under certain conditions, the map $W \mapsto W^{\mathrm{la}}$ acts as a descent, and the derived locally analytic vectors $\mathrm{R}_{\mathrm{la}}^i(W)$ vanish for $i \geq 1$. This result extends Theorem C of \cite{Po24}, providing new tools for propagating information about locally analytic vectors from characteristic $0$ to characteristic $p$. We provide three applications: a new proof of Berger-Rozensztajn's main result using characteristic $0$ methods, the introduction of an integral multivariable ring $\widetilde{\mathbf{A}}_{\mathrm{LT}}^{\dagger,\mathrm{la}}$ in the Lubin-Tate setting, and a novel interpretation of the classical Cohen ring ${\mathbf{A}}_{\mathbb{Q}_p}$ from the theory of $(\varphi,\Gamma)$-modules in terms of locally analytic vectors.
