Abstract:Oral administration of Rhamnan sulphate (RS) led to a reduction in blood lipids and glucose levels. RS altered the gut microbiota and activated the glycolysis and TCA cycle pathways. RS reduced the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes (F/B) ratio. Rhamnan sulphate (RS) is a sulphated polysaccharide found in green algae such as Monostroma nitidum that exhibits various biological functions, including anticoagulant, antitumour, antiviral, and anti‐obesity properties.
