Abstract:Boracay, a popular tourist destination in the Philippines, is facing issues such as beach erosion, disappearance of wetlands, high concentration of fecal coliform in Bolabog Beaches, pollution from improper waste management, and encroachment of protected areas by illegal structures. The island's white sand, turquoise sea, and stunning sunsets attract visitors, but the water is now polluted and marine life is under threat. The issue is not due to lack of environmental protection, sanitation, or other standards, but rather the implementation of corruption.
