Abstract:Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand the moral sensitivity, bioethical awareness and satisfaction in major on nursing professionalism of nursing students Methods The study used a cross-sectional descriptive research design. Data collected from April 9 to May 7, 2023, enrolling 210 subjects from on-line, were analyzed by mean and standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Scheffés method, and multiple regression using SPSS 25.0. Results The nursing professionalism of research subjects was higher than the moderate level, and in the score of each area, the roles of nursing service and self-concept of the profession were the highest. The nursing professionalism according to the general characteristics showed statistically significant differences according to the clinical performance satisfaction, matter of receiving the score, Department application motivation, perceived Physical Health, perceived mental health and adaptation to the department. There were positive correlations between moral Sensitivity, bioethical awareness, satisfaction in major and nursing professionalism. The satisfaction in major, moral sensitivity and adaptation to the departmentt had effects on nursing professionalism. Conclusions In order to increase the nursing professionalism of nursing students it would be necessary to enhance the Satisfaction in major, adaptation to the department and also to improve the moral sensitivity required in field. To improve such elements, it would be also needed to develop apply the systematic simulation practice program similar class, intramural practice, clinical practice and clinical situation.
