Abstract:As technology advances, the application areas of robots are expanding to include factories, restaurants, and homes, where robots are expected to perform various tasks that are currently performed by humans. What is needed are robot hands with multiple degrees of freedom equivalent to or greater than those of humans. However, robot hands with multiple degrees of freedom equivalent to humans are mainly made of hard materials such as metal, and such hard robot hands are difficult to use in the same workspace as humans due to the risk of contact with humans, limiting the area in which they can be used. Therefore, a soft and light multi-degree-of-freedom robot hand was developed with the aim of expanding the robot's working area and realizing functions that exceed those of humans[1], and the control and performance verification of the robot hand are presented in this paper.
