Abstract:Advanced treatment regimens have reduced cardiovascular mortality resulting in an increasingly older population with cardiovascular disease in need of cardiac rehabilitation (CR). 1 In general, the aim of CR is to support patients' everyday life postacute heart disease through an interdisciplinary outpatient program offering a combination of patient education including nutrition, physical training, psychological support, and optimized medical treatment.
