Abstract:The interaction between social media and its consequences, especially cyberbullying, has become a focal point of interest in both academic and public realms. In a digital era where technology reshapes communication landscapes, this study investigates the intricate connection between social media (SM) use and how it affects young children's violent behavior and mental health. This study is motivated by the rapid integration of technology into daily life and the imperative to comprehend the implications of these changes. Just as empathy's role in moral behavior has been explored, this research delves into the connection between SM and cyberbullying, especially among youth. The omnipresence of digital platforms brings both advantages and risks, exemplified by the emergence of cyberbullying. Unlike traditional bullying, online platforms amplify its reach and severity, particularly affecting youth, who are prolific SM users. Understanding this interplay between cyberbullying, mental health (MH), and SM is crucial. By drawing on the link between empathy and moral behavior, this research seeks to explore how SM influences these dynamics in evolving digital landscape.
