Abstract:This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the future of mathematics teaching from the perspective of ChatGPT, an advanced language processing artificial intelligence (AI) developed by OpenAI. The results of the chat transcripts edited with ChatGPT suggest that the future of mathematics teaching will see the integration of technology and AI to provide personalized learning experiences, blended learning environments, and computational thinking, data literacy, and statistics. Problem-solving, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary connections will continue to be emphasized, and equity and inclusion will remain crucial. AI is expected to revolutionize mathematics education, but thoughtful implementation, ongoing professional development, and pedagogical considerations are essential. However, the future of teaching mathematics will continue to evolve. Abstract:Introduction: This study explores the effects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbots, with a particular focus on OpenAI's ChatGPT, on Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). With the rapid advancement of AI, understanding its implications in the educational sector becomes paramount. Methods: Utilizing databases like PubMed, IEEE Xplore, and Google Scholar, we systematically searched for literature on AI chatbots' impact on HEIs. Our criteria prioritized peer-reviewed articles, prominent media outlets, and English publications, excluding tangential AI chatbot mentions. After selection, data extraction focused on authors, study design, and primary findings. The analysis combined descriptive and thematic approaches, emphasizing patterns and applications of AI chatbots in HEIs. Results: The literature review revealed diverse perspectives on ChatGPT's potential in education. Notable benefits include research support, automated grading, and enhanced human-computer interaction. However, concerns such as online testing security, plagiarism, and broader societal and economic impacts like job displacement, the digital literacy gap, and AI-induced anxiety were identified. The study also underscored the transformative architecture of ChatGPT and its versatile applications in the educational sector. Furthermore, potential advantages like streamlined enrollment, improved student services, teaching enhancements, research aid, and increased student retention were highlighted. Conversely, risks such as privacy breaches, misuse, bias, misinformation, decreased human interaction, and accessibility issues were identified. Discussion: While AI's global expansion is undeniable, there is a pressing need for balanced regulation in its application within HEIs. Faculty members are encouraged to utilize AI tools like ChatGPT proactively and ethically to mitigate risks, especially academic fraud. Despite the study's limitations, including an incomplete representation of AI's overall effect on education and the absence of concrete integration guidelines, it is evident that AI technologies like ChatGPT present both significant benefits and risks. The study advocates for a thoughtful and responsible integration of such technologies within HEIs.

Abstract:This study aims to examine the perspectives of various stakeholders, such as students and educators, on the use of artificial intelligence in teaching mathematics, specifically after the launch of ChatGPT. The study adopts a qualitative case study approach consisting of two stages: content analysis of interviews and investigation of user experience. The first stage of the study shows that ChatGPT is recognized for its improved math capabilities and ability to increase educational success by providing users with basic knowledge of mathematics and various topics. ChatGPT can offer comprehensive instruction and assistance in the study of geometry, and the public discourse on social media is generally positive, with enthusiasm for the use of ChatGPT in teaching mathematics and educational settings. However, there are also voices that approach using ChatGPT in educational settings with caution. In the second stage of the study, the investigation of user experiences through three educational scenarios revealed various issues. ChatGPT lacks a deep understanding of geometry and cannot effectively correct misconceptions. The accuracy and effectiveness of ChatGPT solutions may depend on the complexity of the equation, input data, and the instructions given to ChatGPT. ChatGPT is expected to become more efficient in resolving increasingly complex mathematical problems. The results of this investigation propose a number of avenues for research that ought to be explored in order to guarantee the secure and conscientious integration of chatbots, especially ChatGPT, into mathematics education and learning.

Abstract:This research paper aims to analyse the use of ChatGPT and its future in the teaching and learning process. The research was based on a descriptive research design and model that examined the use of ChatGPT among university students and leveraged the technology acceptance model (TAM). Samples were obtained from Nepal’s oldest universities, Tribhuvan University, Purwanchal University, Kathmandu University and Pokhara University, by purposive sampling techniques. Data was directly observed by field and Internet surveys at sample universities by structured questionnaires. The research included respondents based on their use of ChatGPT. Information related to ChatGPT was collected from 400 respondents from the science and management faculty. This application was only used by 280 responders, however; therefore, these 280 replies were examined to reach a decision. Data was entered into the SPSS and AMOS software for structural equation modelling. The measurement and structural model was found to be reliable and valid. According to the study, 54.3 per cent of users felt ChatGPT was crucial and 53.9 per cent of users believed it provided reliable information; however, 47.1 per cent of respondents said it is neither secure nor unsafe and 71.4 per cent said ChatGPT has an advantageous effect on users’ performance. ChatGPT is used by 42.9 per cent of users for help, mostly to find answers to questions. The environment and conduct of users of facilities are significantly influenced by performance expectations. The relationship between the performance expectations of teachers and students toward ChatGPT and their behaviour is also mediated by the facility circumstances.

Abstract:ChatGPT, an AI-based chatbot, offers coherent and useful replies based on analysis of large volumes of data. In this article, leading academics, scientists, distinguish researchers and engineers discuss the transformative effects of ChatGPT on modern education. This research discusses ChatGPT capabilities and its use in the education sector, identifies potential concerns and challenges. Our preliminary evaluation shows that ChatGPT perform differently in different subject areas including finance, coding, maths, and general public queries. While ChatGPT has the ability to help educators by creating instructional content, offering suggestions and acting as an online educator to learners by answering questions, transforming education through smartphones and IoT gadgets, and promoting group work, there are clear drawbacks in its use, such as the possibility of producing inaccurate or false data and circumventing duplicate content (plagiarism) detectors where originality is essential. The often reported “hallucinations” within GenerativeAI in general, and also relevant for ChatGPT, can render its use of limited benefit where accuracy is essential. What ChatGPT lacks is a stochastic measure to help provide sincere and sensitive communication with its users. Academic regulations and evaluation practices used in educational institutions need to be updated, should ChatGPT be used as a tool in education. To address the transformative effects of ChatGPT on the learning environment, educating teachers and students alike about its capabilities and limitations will be crucial.

Abstract:Objective: The study aims to explore the role of ChatGPT as an Artificial Intelligence tool in education, critically evaluate its performance, discuss potential problems for students, and propose enhancements to improve teacher-student relations. Method: The research utilizes secondary data gathered from various publications, including magazines, books, journals, and websites relevant to the subject. The study focuses on unveiling the impact of ChatGPT on teacher-student dynamics. Results: ChatGPT offers several advantages in education, including customized learning, constant availability, instant feedback, homework assistance, and support for language learning. It can also enhance engagement and provide consistent quality at a lower cost. However, the study identifies significant drawbacks, such as a lack of emotional intelligence, contextual understanding, and personalization. There are concerns about misinformation, over-reliance on technology, privacy, security, and inadvertent bias reinforcement. To address these issues, the study recommends implementing effective feedback mechanisms, conducting regular security audits, promoting collaborative learning environments, and continuously updating AI models. Conclusions: While ChatGPT has transformative potential in education, its implementation must be carefully managed to avoid depersonalization and reliance on AI at the expense of human interaction. The study emphasizes the importance of balancing AI with the human touch in education, ensuring ethical guidelines, and promoting digital literacy. Abstract:Artificial intelligence refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, particularly computer systems. The study aims to understand how the integration of ChatGPT into educational settings affects students' learning outcomes, study habits, and overall academic performance. It focused on exploring the integration of ChatGPT in the Goa's education sector. Descriptive Analysis, Factor Analysis and Regression Analysis has been carried out on the Data collected. Abstract:The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education can have a beneficial effect on learners' attitudes and self-assurance toward learning. However, it may also present a danger of substituting teachers and interpersonal interactions that are essential for learners' holistic development. This research investigated the use of AI, specifically the Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT), in education and whether it is an ally or a threat to teaching and learning. It discussed and elaborated how AI has changed the traditional practice, principles, culture, and theory in education. Moreover, it identified the advantages and disadvantages of using ChatGPT in education, potential paradigm shifts that may arise from its use, and its impact on science and mathematics education. Furthermore, this study presented an analysis of ChatGPT's responses to standardized marking schemes in science and mathematics and provided valuable insights into how AI can be integrated into the teaching and learning of science and mathematics. This study concluded that a review of the assessment approaches, as well as an openminded perspective in adapting the curriculum and pedagogies with the incorporation of AI, are needed to maximize the learning outcomes of 21st century learners.

Abstract:In November 2022, Open Artificial Intelligence (AI) launched the controversial generative AI tool named ChatGBT-plus or ChatGPT-4 (Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer) which has been available to users via the website in February 2023. Since then, its use in the classroom environment has been debated. Various scholars, especially in the field of computer sciences, provided insights into its functioning and genesis on its possible negative use and impact particularly in the education sector. Therefore, there is a need for teachers' and students' insights vis-a-vis this robot with a global perspective. This exploratory study on 236 university educators based in India revealed mixed perceptions of using ChatGPT as a learning and teaching tool. Surveyed educators are aware of it and its acceptance as teaching tool is still limited. In the conclusion, the study proposed potential research avenues about the use OpenAI in education.

Abstract:The introduction of artificial intelligence in the field of education has resulted from the use of information and communication technologies as a tool for improving teaching and learning. Expert systems and machine intelligence have the potential to revolutionize education by providing personalized learning experiences, automating repetitive tasks, and allowing teachers to focus on more important tasks such as providing one-on-one attention to students. It is utilized in a range of educational applications, including adaptive learning systems that may change the complexity of content depending on a student's performance. This paper reviews literature on the educational implications of artificial intelligence. By evaluating some of ChatGPT's capabilities, the study evaluates the possibilities and limitations of OpenAI's ChatGPT for teaching, learning, and research. The results indicated that ChatGPT delivers rapid and instantaneous response to search queries, as well as automatic text production that resembles conversation response. The article also highlighted some of the difficulties experienced, such as a lack of citation and reference. The researcher suggested recommendations such as ensuring to cite and reference the replies supplied by ChatGPT.

Abstract:The recent high performance of ChatGPT on several standardized academic tests has thrust the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) into the mainstream conversation about the future of education. As deep learning is poised to shift the teaching paradigm, it is essential to have a clear understanding of its effects on the current education system to ensure sustainable development and deployment of AI-driven technologies at schools and universities. This research aims to investigate the potential impact of AI on education through review and analysis of the existing literature across three major axes: applications, advantages, and challenges. Our review focuses on the use of artificial intelligence in collaborative teacher--student learning, intelligent tutoring systems, automated assessment, and personalized learning. We also report on the potential negative aspects, ethical issues, and possible future routes for AI implementation in education. Ultimately, we find that the only way forward is to embrace the new technology, while implementing guardrails to prevent its abuse.

Abstract:Emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT offer considerable promise for enhancing professional development in higher education. This study focuses on the experiences of early-career lecturers who utilise ChatGPT for professional development. Central questions explore ChatGPT's influence on their overall professional experience and the challenges and benefits of its use. While research on AI in education has been growing, few studies have delved into the specific experiences of young academics using ChatGPT. This study employed qualitative methods to address this gap, pre-cisely 45- to 60-minute in-depth interviews with two purposively selected lecturers, followed by a thematic analysis using a grounded theory approach. Our findings reveal a multifaceted landscape: on the one hand, ChatGPT enhances the ability to construct intricate academic arguments, increases effi-ciency in research and teaching tasks, and heightens critical thinking capabilities. Conversely, chal-lenges such as initial technical hurdles, occasional incorrect outputs, and concerns about over-dependency were also highlighted. Through this investigation, the study contributes to the broader discourse on AI in education by illustrating both the promising opportunities and potential pitfalls of using ChatGPT in academia. The study underscores the need for a balanced approach to AI adoption. It offers insights into the role of AI tools like ChatGPT in shaping the future of professional development in higher education.

Abstract:With the continuous intervention of AI tools in the education sector, new research is required to evaluate the viability and feasibility of extant AI platforms to inform various pedagogical methods of instruction. The current manuscript explores the cumulative published literature to date in order to evaluate the key challenges that influence the implications of adopting AI models in the Education Sector. The researchers' present works both in favour and against AI-based applications within the Academic milieu. A total of 69 articles from a 618-article population was selected from diverse academic journals between 2018 and 2023. After a careful review of selected articles, the manuscript presents a classification structure based on five distinct dimensions: user, operational, environmental, technological, and ethical challenges. The current review recommends the use of ChatGPT as a complementary teaching-learning aid including the need to afford customized and optimized versions of the tool for the teaching fraternity. The study addresses an important knowledge gap as to how AI models enhance knowledge within educational settings. For instance, the review discusses interalia a range of AI-related effects on learning from the need for creative prompts, training on diverse datasets and genres, incorporation of human input and data confidentiality and elimination of bias. The study concludes by recommending strategic solutions to the emerging challenges identified while summarizing ways to encourage wider adoption of ChatGPT and other AI tools within the education sector. The insights presented in this review can act as a reference for policymakers, teachers, technology experts and stakeholders, and facilitate the means for wider adoption of ChatGPT in the Education sector more generally. Moreover, the review provides an important foundation for future research.
