On The Issue of Delayed Retirement Age in China

Abstract:Delayed retirement age was put forward,which caused a series of disputes.Opponents argue that it will certainly increase the pressure on employment and the presence of two-track system is unfair to delay retirement age;what's more,delayed retirement age is a lack of humanity and so on.Supporters consider that the practical impact on the employment of delaying retirement age is not as serious as that on the theory,it not only can reduce the system of dependency ratio,but also reduce the burden on family pension,which can make the return on investment be proportional to the human resources and relieve the pension gap problem.Facing the controversy and taking into account our growing aging population,pension gap problem,the increasingly extend life expectancy,as well as disadvantages of the statutory retirement age to postpone retirement and other situations around the world,the government raised the retirement age policy,which is realistic and imperative.It is difficult to carry out delaying retirement age but it can develope the economy,eliminate the dual system implement progressively flexible retirement system,strengthen the supervision of pension and improve the yields of pension investment operations and other measures to deal with the problem,which can make delaying retirement age more carry on smoothly.
