Abstract:This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses the recent years medicalization, the process of making something medical, has gained considerable ground and a position in everyday discourse. It then analyzes the limitations of the demands for more pharmaceutical and genetic approaches. The book then explores how states, (non governmental organizations) NGOs, global health organizations, foundations and pharmaceutical companies work together not just to create a biopolitics. It then discusses the debates within the HIV/AIDS treatment/patient/survivor communities offer a good case in point. The chapter focuses on technoscience, genetics and pharmaceuticals, is an excellent start on the way to map the global transformations in medicine, health and science before us.
