Abstract:Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are key contributors to Indonesia's economy. E-commerce can assist SMEs in gaining a competitive edge and is expected to be the largest contributor to the country's digital economy by 2030. However, only 22% of SMEs in Indonesia have adopted E-commerce. Hence this study aims to investigate the criteria that influence E-commerce adoption by Indonesian retail SMEs and select the best strategy using the Decision-Makers, Technological, Organizational, and Environmental (DTOE) Framework and the Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory. This study aims to fill the research gap by examining the essential factors in E-commerce adoption by Indonesian SMEs in the retail industry and their key strategy to increase utilization. The influence and priorities between criteria were calculated using the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) based Analytic Network Process (ANP) method. Furthermore, an E-commerce adoption strategy was selected using Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method. This research showed critical criteria for adopting E-commerce technology in retail SMEs, Decision Maker's IT Knowledge, Innovativeness, and Complexity. In addition, developing or training Information Technology (IT) and E-commerce skills were identified as the best strategy to increase E-commerce adoption. This study can help raise the understanding of policymakers, E-commerce service providers, and retail SME decision-makers on influencing criteria in adopting the best strategy to be applied to increase this technology adoption.

Abstract:The topic of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises has always been interesting to discuss. MSMEs contribute to the Indonesian economy but also encounter various challenges in their business operations due to the fast growth in economic development. The sustainability of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises becomes the priority for the policymaker. Thus, to understand their problems, it is necessary to make the appropriate policy. The shifting of businesses operating in the competitive era of digitalization brings the consequences to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to adapt to the changes by adopting digitalization and understanding the financial literacy, and technological infrastructure to support their operation in this era. Some previous studies have found that the three factors positively and significantly influence the sustainability of MSMEs. This study takes a closer look by combining these three variables in one model to explore the impact of digitalization, financial literacy, and technological infrastructure on the sustainability of MSMEs. Data was collected from 83 owners of MSMEs in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, through an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The result showing the negative effect of digitalization contradicts several previous studies that found a positive impact instead. The positive effect of financial literacy and technological infrastructure on the sustainability of MSMEs is still consistent with prior research. This research contributes to the academic insight into the importance of digitalization, financial literacy, and technological infrastructure for the sustainability of MSMEs and valuable practical recommendations to policymakers to support the sustainability of MSMEs. Further implications of these findings are discussed.

Abstract:As a provincial capital that depends on tourism, the development of Denpasar City’s SMEs, especially in the tourism support sector, is growing rapidly. Coupled with technological advances, the development of SMEs must be able to adapt, one of which is by implementing e-commerce. This research aims to 1) explore the e-commerce needs of SMEs in Denpasar City and 2) analyze the factors that influence the use of e-commerce among SMEs in Denpasar City. The research was conducted on SMEs in Denpasar City with 140 respondents. A mixed-method approach was used to answer the research objectives. The research results show that e-commerce is a marketing medium for Denpasar City SMEs, primarily through Shopee and TikTok. Analysis using Atlas.ti indicates that human resources are still the main obstacle to implementing e-commerce in Denpasar City. Related to the factors that influence the decision to implement e-commerce, business duration, income, knowledge, technology, and product type are variables that significantly influence the implementation of e-commerce in Denpasar City. These results can be a reference regarding increasing SMEs’ capacity, especially regarding human resources and capital. Training, mentoring, and access to capital can raise SMEs’ awareness of the importance of technology in promoting and selling goods and services to increase income, which will lead to empowerment and prosperity.

Abstract:Electronic commerce (e’commerce) related to the internet for buying, selling, transporting, or exchanging info, products, or services. There are many advantages of e-commerce, including operational Benefits like the one global reach, cost reduction, promoting Issue Prevention, optimizing the supply chain, and always opening up business. That nation has SMES, and SMES is the largest foreign exchange earners in the country to be able to compete, with SMES being able to expand their transaction business via the Internet. The aim is to determine critical factors in the adoption of e-commerce for SMEs. That first analysis presented a comprehensive review of the literature onto the context for e-commerce research These methodology is divided into several parts: determination of research sources, identification of keyword structures for process search, implementation of criteria for inclusion and exclusion, extraction of data, and review of findings to address scientific questions. From the result of the literature research, there are several main factors for SMEs to adopt e-commerce such as Technological Factor that consists of : interception, Relative Advantage, Compability, IT infrastructure, Security. The Organizational factor consists of : Involvement & consistency, Top Management support, Financial Resources, Human Resources. External Factor consists of: competition aong organizations, and government support. And the individual factors are behavior to counsumer, excellent service, education, & computer Skill.

Abstract:E-commerce as a medium for online transactions by business actors can increase the productivity of SMEs. This study aims to analyze the adoption of e-commerce in SMEs in Karawang Regency, Indonesia. The technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework was chosen as a variable for measuring e-commerce adoption. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire survey which was distributed to SMEs in Karawang Regency, and obtained 301 respondents. The results of data collection by using Smart PLS with the results of the technological aspects have no significant effect on the intention to adopt e-commerce, while the organizational and environmental aspects have a significant effect on the intention to adopt e-commerce. All technology indicators, namely compatability, perceived usefulness, complexity, security concern and relative advantage, are proven to have a significant effect on technology in the intention to adopt e-commerce. Organizational indicators, namely cost, organization readiness, organization culture, organization size and top management support, are proven to have a significant effect on organizations in their intention to adopt e-commerce. Meanwhile, environmental indicators, namely government support, competitive pressure, environmental uncertainty and vendor quality, have a significant effect on the environment in the intention to adopt e-commerce. The data that has been generated can be used by the MSMEs management agency in Karawang Regency to formulate strategies for increasing the productivity of SMEs.

Abstract:This study scrutinizes the motivational factors of e-commerce adoption using the Integrated Model of E-commerce Adoption in SMEs (IMAES) and analyzes its impact on business performance. This is quantitative research. Survey technique used to collect data. The Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, was chosen purposively as the center of traditional drinks, and 330 SMEs of traditional drinks in all districts/cities were proportionally taken as samples. Structural Equation Modeling was used as the data analysis method with PLS tools. This study shows that buyer, competitor behavior, relative advantage, organizational readiness, perceived ease, benefit observability, compatibility, ICT organizational, and innovativeness level significantly and positively influence e-commerce adoption. Risk perception and complexity have a significant and negative effect on e-commerce adoption. E-commerce adoption has a significant and positive impact on business performance, operational performance, financial performance, and marketing performance. Stakeholder collaboration is required to increase e-commerce adoption.

Abstract:This study looks into the complex relationships that exist between the use of digital technology by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Bandung City, online consumer behavior, and the performance of e-commerce platforms. Through the use of structured surveys and a quantitative approach, information about digital technology integration, online customer behavior patterns, and markers of e-commerce success was gathered from 121 SMEs. The results show that consumer behavior dynamics are diverse, there is a moderate level of acceptance of digital technology, and both characteristics have a considerable beneficial impact on the performance of e-commerce. The key component that emerges is trust, underscoring the significance of building customer confidence in the digital economy. The study adds to our knowledge of the complex interactions that occur between customer engagement and technology adoption, providing SMEs navigating the digital landscape with useful insights.

Abstract:E-commerce through internet opens opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to market and expand business networks, not least for SMEs of Batik in Surakarta. Besides, e-commerce emerges marketing-mix model which it is different than as usual. Even most of the SMEs have use e-commerce, there is no information about performance of the SMEs on utilize e-commerce. Because of that, this study aims to analyze the use of e-commerce from the SMEs using the e-commerce marketing mix model. The model measures elements of e-commerce marketing-mix with two indicators, namely level of importance and performance of the SMEs. This research shows that there are gaps between the level of importance and the performance of the SMEs on utilize e-commerce. The highest gap is on the information about the shipping costs element, and it is followed by the temporal dynamics of commodity price changes element. Based on that, a events calendar is built as a recommendation for the SMEs to improve their e-commerce performance. The result of this research also will be used for Regional Industry and Trade Office of Surakarta City for arrange improvement program for the SMEs.

Abstract:This research studies the complex relationships between government policies, technological innovation, availability of venture capital, and the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. Using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), this research analyses data from a sample of 130 SMEs across different industries and regions. The measurement model assessment confirmed the reliability and validity of the constructs, while the structural model analysis revealed significant positive relationships between government policy effectiveness, technological innovation, venture capital availability, and SME growth. The robustness of the findings was confirmed through bootstrapping, and the model fit index validated the adequacy of the estimated model. The R-squared values indicate the ability of the model to explain most of the variance in SME growth. Hypothesis testing further corroborated the significant impact of Availability of Venture Capital, Government Policies, and Technological Innovation on SME growth. The implications of these findings extend to policymakers, business owners, and stakeholders, guiding the formulation of strategies that foster an enabling environment for SMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract:The digital economy (e-commerce) is an important tool to enhance SMEs, with various limitations, including digital literacy and SMEs owner characteristics. The novelty of this study is to provide a deeper understanding and new evidence of the linkage between digital literacy and e-commerce for SMEs. The future expected impact of this study is the government should facilitate and improve the level of digital literacy and e-commerce for SMEs. In particular, this study sets a question, namely: Does technology literacy lead the digital economy (e-commerce) for SMEs? Therefore, this study investigates the determinant factors of e-commerce by moderating variable of digital literacy among SMEs in the Malang region (Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City). The sample size is 43 respondents actively involved in business training and mentoring by SME associations, business incubators, and local governments. The respondents have social media and e-commerce to stimulate their sales. The sampling method was purposive sampling. The sample was collected through a survey during March - April 2024. Path analysis was applied to elaborate the study objectives. The findings reveal that the indicators constructing digital literacy and e-commerce are valid and reliable. The digital literacy was influenced by the age of SME owner and economic media. Besides, the digital literacy has a positive and significant impact on e-commerce at the 1% level. E-commerce is also determined by firm establishment. This condition means that an increase in the quality of digital literacy can lead to a rise in e-commerce utilisation. The implications of this study suggest that SME associations, business incubators and local governments facilitate the improvement of SMEs' digital literacy and their ability to utilise e-commerce appropriately to grow their businesses in the long term. In addition, SMEs should improve their digital business skills through various training and business mentoring conducted by local governments and business incubators.

Abstract:Today, e-commerce has been used as a fast vehicle to transform the world that significantly affects businesses, including small businesses. Many challenges and problems are faced, especially in terms of dealing with e-commerce, such as there is much lack of knowledge about developing technology, customer demand, and human and financial resource management. However, after the pandemic Covid-19 situation, entrepreneurs must rise from adversity, fast, and quickly adapt to the situation. In previous research, Entrepreneurial Orientation, Market Orientation, Learning Orientation, and a combination, Strategic Orientation had a positive and significant effect on Performance. Likewise, Hybrid Channel had a positive and significant effect on Performance. Furthermore, successful entrepreneurs adopt e- commerce in their business development or e-Commerce Capabilities. The purpose of this paper is to prove empirically whether the variable of e-Commerce Capability in mediating the Orientation Strategy or Hybrid Channel to performance in the context of micro and small businesses. The paper used SEM Analysis Covariant Based Structural Equation Modelling (CB-SEM) to test a hypothesis and AMOS as a statistical tool. The data states that the important factors affecting performance, especially micro and small entrepreneurs, are strategic orientation and the use of hybrid channels. However, the data has not been able to show that e-commerce capability can mediate the effect of both on performance.

Abstract:E-marketing is a way to market a product, from first meeting to purchase to delivery and beyond. Marketing is about customer management and must establish relationships between goods and customers daily so that there is added value in each process. This study uses quantitative data by collecting data on the number of users, starting from an understanding of E-marketing, the advantages of using E-marketing, and others. E-marketing user data was also collected in every Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) in Indonesia using a questionnaire. This study has a valid amount of data on e-marketing techniques. The types of e- marketing techniques used include pay-per-click, social media marketing, email marketing, paid advertising, and search engines. E-marketing strategies also play a very important role. Strategies regarding the 4Ps and relationship management to achieve the objectives of the plan regarding the product, price, place (distribution channel), and promotion.

Abstract:: This case was conducted to study the impact of e-commerce on small and medium sized enterprises (SME) in Indonesia, especially in Malang, East Java. E-commerce can be called as one of the most innovative developments of the technological era. Nowadays, young generation already attached to gadget and along with the internet. It would be a waste if they just learn IT without intentional goals. There is a clear indication that SMEs are ready to embrace the new technologies to support e-commerce. Many of the small enterprises have not applied it in their business system yet because of the high competitors and extended fund. But the youth of new generation could help them learn about IT and e-commerce. They believe that e-commerce really will bring a lot of benefits to their business.

Abstract:The digitalization of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is important, considering the many associated benefits. Indonesia, through the government’s direction, has begun to develop digitalization through the introduction of e-payment and e-commerce services into MSME supply chains, but many challenges are still encountered. In this research, we measured the influence of the use of e-payment and e-commerce services on MSME supply chain performance, as well as suggesting open innovations and solutions to accelerate the digitization of MSMEs. We collected data from 164 MSMEs in Indonesia, then conducted multiple linear regression analysis, descriptive analysis of research indicators, and interviews and discussions with research experts. The results demonstrate that there exists a positive and significant influence of both e-payment and e-commerce service variables on the performance of MSME supply chains in Indonesia. We determine ten research indicators with low values, which thus pose an obstacle to the digitization of MSMEs, and their implications, in order of open innovation and solutions, are presented in order to assist MSME actors, the government, and related institutions in accelerating the digitalization of MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract:The adoption of e-commerce has become a game-changer for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) after the post-pandemic Covid-19 because it has changed consumer behavior and business competition a lot, such as adapting to conditions of environmental characteristics, namely Hygiene, Low-Touch, Less-Crowd, and Low-Mobility. The main objective of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the adoption of e-commerce in MSMEs in Padang City. This study uses the Stage of Model (SoM) research model. The research method uses survey data, primary data types. The sample in this study was 216 from MSME actors in the culinary, fashion, services and hospitality fields in Padang City who had used e-commerce adoption. The data analysis technique used the binomial logistic regression test. Based on data processing, it shows that top management support, company size, employee training and training, Information and Technology (IT) user readiness and relative profits are statistically significant determinants of e-commerce adoption. This study provides direction to MSMEs in Padang City to innovate in business continuity by adopting e-commerce so that their businesses can continue to run amid global economic uncertainty.

Abstract:Objective: The evolution of digital ecosystem has led to highly dynamic developments in buying and selling transactions. A noteworthy recent phenomenon is the objection from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Indonesia concerning the upsurge in cross-border trade through e-commerce and social commerce, posing a significant threat to local businesses. Notably, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (KemenKopUKM) is proposing a revision of regulations related to trade via electronic systems, aiming to incorporate price limits for imported products. Alongside the challenge posed by foreign entrepreneurs, the quality of domestic MSE products is a major concern, hindering their ability to compete with imported counterparts. Thus, it is imperative to enhance their competitiveness. Methods: This research employs dogmatic legal research methods, meticulously analyzing and evaluating legal regulations pertaining to MSEs. Conclusions: The research found that cross-border trade is now an unavoidable reality, necessitating ongoing efforts to enhance the protection and capacity of domestic MSEs. A key approach to safeguarding MSEs involves exerting control over imported products, currently subject to minimal supervision in e-commerce and social commerce. Additionally, enhancing product standards can significantly elevate the quality and appeal of MSEs’ offerings, ultimately boosting their competitiveness.

Abstract:The study of SMEs and E-commerce is acquiring much attention from academicians and practitioners as SMEs play a vital role in generating vast amount of nation's revenue at present day. Therefore, the contribution of SMEs to economic development in spite of their scarce resources needs intense and passionate study so as to examine the factors which will influence E-commerce adoption among SMEs. Seeing that much research that examines the E-commerce adoption among SMEs and as far as this, researches mainly just concentrate on large firms or organizations, this study aims to analyze the key factors of E-commerce adoption among SMEs in Northern state of Malaysia which comprise of Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Northern part of Perak. Key factors such as relative advantage and competitive pressure are specifically conducted in this research. Above and beyond, this study is conducted based on survey design and descriptive research investigation. Approximately 350 questionnaires are distributed to CEOs or managers diversified from different sectors but only 167 questionnaires were obtained. The research data is analyzed using frequency analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive analysis, correlation analysis as well as multiple regression analysis.

Abstract:This study aims to determine what factors that can affect taxpayer compliance SMEs based e-Commercein Bandung. This research uses taxpayer awareness, moral obligation and quality of tax service asfactors. A questionnaire was used as research instruments in data collection. Respondents of weresampled in this research are e-Commerce business actor who using online marketplace. Multiple linearregression with SPSS program version 23 is used for data analysis. The results of this study concludedthat taxpayer awareness, moral obligations, and the quality of tax service simultaneously influencedsignificantly to taxpayer compliance. Then the test partially produces the taxpayer awareness and thequality of tax service have a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance, while the moralobligation hasn’t a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance.

Abstract:The paper examined the influence of digital marketing and e-commerce on marketing performance and sustainability of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This research is quantitative research using a questionnaire approach method. Quantitative research is a research method based on the philosophy of positivism, used to research certain populations or samples, collecting data using research instruments, quantitative or statistical data analysis, with the aim of testing predetermined hypotheses. The sampling technique in this research is non-probability sampling. The respondents of this research were 580 SME owners in Indonesia. Research data was obtained by distributing online questionnaires via social media. The questionnaire was designed using a Likert scale from 1 to 7 and the analysis of research data used structural equation modeling (SEM). Based on the research results, it is concluded that digital marketing had a positive and significant relationship to marketing performance, E-Commerce had a positive and significant relationship with marketing performance, Digital marketing had a positive and significant relationship with business sustainability. In SMEs, E-Commerce had a positive and significant relationship with business sustainability in SMEs.

Abstract:In Bandar Lampung, approximately 18% of MSMEs have not embraced e-commerce, despite its growing popularity and convenience. Limited access to technology and the internet, lack of digital literacy, concerns about security and trust, and traditional business practices are all factors contributing to this low adoption rate. This research aims to empirically investigate how digital marketing affects intellectual capital, perceived quality, and overall performance of MSMEs. Additionally, it explores the impact of MSMEs' intellectual capital and perceived quality on their performance. Employing a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis, this study targets MSME actors in Bandar Lampung. The sampling strategy involves multi-stage cluster purposive sampling, selecting 366 respondents for data collection through an online questionnaire using Likert scales. The analysis is conducted using Smart PLS, and the results reveal that digital marketing significantly and positively influences intellectual capital, perceived quality, and overall performance of MSMEs. Furthermore, both intellectual capital and quality perception show a positive and significant influence on MSME performance.
