Abstract:The Bi – Ni (1−(3/2) x ) Fe 2 O 4 spinel ferrite nanoparticles (NPs) were produced by microwave-assisted sol–gel autocombustion route. The X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and impedance spectroscopy were used to investigate the influence of Bi 3+ on the characteristics of the synthesized ferrites nanoparticles (NPs). The crystallite size was determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and found to be in the range of 34 to 40 nm. The two strong vibrations in the range of 400–650 cm −1 recorded by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) confirm the formation of nickel spinel ferrite NPs. The magnetic properties of Bi 3+ -doped Ni-ferrite were examined using VSM. The observed coercivity (167.81 to 137.91 Oe), magnetic saturation (37.254 to 25.542 emu/g), and retentivity (6.0622 to 3.4970 emu/g) show modifications in magnetic parameters with Bi substitution in NiFe 2 O 4 . The dielectric constant and impedance value were found to decrease with frequency variation. The observed and calculated structural, magnetic, and dielectric parameters of the produced material show suitability for memory storage device applications.
