Abstract:Relevance. The main reasons for revision interventions after hip arthroplasty for many years remain aseptic loosening and osteolysis, which lead to the formation of bone tissue defects of various lengths and localizations. Given the relatively young age of patients undergoing revision, methods of biological restoration of bone tissue, such as impaction bone grafting, are of particular interest. The purpose of presenting a clinical case is to demonstrate the long-term outcome of impaction bone grafting (IBP) using crushed allograft compaction. Materials and Methods: A complex clinical case is presented in a 62-year-old patient with bone deficiency and loosening of both the acetabular and femoral components of the hip joint endoprosthesis. Impaction bone grafting was performed using allograft prepared using the thermodisinfection method. The follow-up period was 4 years. Result: Control radiographs demonstrate the effectiveness of impaction bone grafting in the medium term.
