Abstract:To explore the predictive value of the monocyte-to-high-density lipoprotein ratio (MHR) for the occurrence of ischemic stroke within 90 days in patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA),three hundred and seven TIA patients (study group) and 278 healthy controls were selected as research subjects. The study group was divided into stroke group (38 cases) and non-stroke group (269 cases) based on the occurrence of ischemic stroke within 90 days. Clinical data were compared among each group, and the predictive value of MHR for ischemic stroke within 90 days in TIA patients was analyzed. The findings are summarized as follows. The MHR in the study group was higher than that in the control group [0.363 (0.253, 0.506) vs 0.231 (0.161, 0.305)], and the MHR and ABCD 3 -I scores in the stroke group were notably higher than those in the non-stroke group [0.910 (0.631, 1.070) vs 0.345 (0.244, 0.450), 8 (6,11) vs 3 (2,6)], all with a statistical significance of P < 0.05. Spearman correlation analysis revealed a positive correlation between MHR and ABCD 3 -I score ( r > 0, P < 0.001). Furthermore, multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that both MHR and ABCD 3 -I scores were independent risk factors for recent ischemic stroke in TIA patients (odds ratio > 1, P < 0.05). Additionally, ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) for MHR was higher than that for ABCD 3 -I score, with values of 0.865 and 0.851, respectively. The combination of both predictors had the highest AUC of 0.928. Our findings leads to the following conclusions: MHR serves as an independent risk factor for the occurrence of stroke in TIA patients. Moreover, the combination of MHR and the ABCD 3 -I scoring method has a high predictive value for the occurrence of stroke in TIA patiens.
