Abstract:The aim of this paper is to present bifurcation results for (weak) solutions of the Schrödinger-Poisson system in R 3 , involving subcritical and critical nonlinearities and using the global bifurcation theorem. Furthermore, we establish the existence of unbounded components of (weak) solutions, which bifurcate from trivial solutions and from infinity, respectively. The novelties of the paper lie in the appearance of the indefinite nonlinearity and the critical nonlinear term. Finally, we also analyze the regularity result that guarantees the L ∞ -bound of the (weak) solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger-Poisson system under consideration.

The main feature of this paper is the inclusion of a potentially degenerate Kirchhoff model, combined with the critical nonlinearity.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the following fractional Schrödinger–Poisson system with discontinuous nonlinearity: where ɛ > 0 is a small parameter, s ∈ ( 3 4 , 1 ) , β > 0, H is the Heaviside function, (−Δ) s u is the fractional Laplacian operator, V : R 3 → R is a continuous potential and f : R → R is superlinear continuous nonlinearity with subcritical growth at infinity. By using nonsmooth analysis, we investigate the existence and concentration of solutions for the above problem. Moreover, we obtain some properties of these solutions, such as convergence and decay estimate.

Abstract:This paper deals with the bifurcation results of (weak) solutions for the Kirchhoff fractional p -Laplacian equation {M(x,[u]s,pp)(−Δ)psu=f(λ,x,u)in Ω,u=0in RN∖Ω, where (−Δ)ps denotes the fractional operator, with sp = N , and the nonlinearity f exhibits the singular exponential growth at infinity. Moreover, the existence of unbounded components of (weak) solutions emanating from the trivial solution, is treated via the fix point result and the global bifurcation theorem due to Rabinowitz. Finally, the main feature of this paper consists of the existence of positive solutions to the above equation for λ small enough.

Abstract:In this paper we study the nonhomogeneous semilinear fractional Schrodinger equation with critical growth {(-Delta)(s)u + u = u(s)(2)*(-1) + lambda(f(x, u) + h(x)), x is an element of R-N, u is an element of H-s(R-N), u(x) > 0, x is an element of R-N, where s is an element of (0, 1), N > 4s, and lambda > 0 is a parameter, 2*(s) = 2N/N-2s is the fractional critical Sobolev exponent, f and h are some given functions. We show that there exists 0 < lambda* < +infinity such that the problem has exactly two positive solutions if lambda is an element of (0, lambda*), no positive solutions for lambda > lambda*, a unique solution (lambda*,u(lambda*)) if lambda = lambda*, which shows that (lambda*,u(lambda*)) is a turning point in H-S (R-N) for the problem. Our proofs are based on the variational methods and the principle of concentration-compactness.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper we are concerned with the existence, nonexistence and bifurcation of nontrivial solution of the nonlinear Schrödinger-Korteweg-de Vries type system(NLS-NLS-KdV). First, we find some conditions to guarantee the existence and nonexistence of positive solution of the system. Second, we study the asymptotic behavior of the positive ground state solution. Finally, we use the classical Crandall-Rabinowitz local bifurcation theory to get the nontrivial positive solution. To get these results we encounter some new challenges. By combining the Nehari manifolds constraint method and the delicate energy estimates, we overcome the difficulties and find the two bifurcation branches from one semitrivial solution. This is an new interesting phenomenon but which have not previously been found.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following nonhomogeneous quasilinear Schrödinger–Poisson system with exponential and logarithmic nonlinearities {[ -Δ u+ϕ u =|u|^p-2ulog |u|^2 +λ f(u) +h(x), inΩ ,; -Δϕ -ε ^4 Δ _4 ϕ =u^2, inΩ ,; u=ϕ =0, on∂Ω ,; ]. where 40 are parameters, Δ _4 ϕ = div(|∇ϕ |^2 ∇ϕ ) , Ω⊂ℝ^2 is a bounded domain, and f has exponential critical growth. First, using reduction argument, truncation technique, Ekeland’s variational principle, and the Mountain Pass theorem, we obtain that the above system admits at least two solutions with different energy for λ large enough and ε fixed. Finally, we research the asymptotic behavior of solutions with respect to the parameters ε .
Normalized Solutions to Schrödinger Equations with General Nonlinearities in Bounded Domains via a Global Bifurcation Approach

Abstract:We obtain the existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive solutions with prescribed mass for nonlinear Schrödinger equations in bounded domains via a global bifurcation approach. The nonlinearities in this paper can be mass supercritical, critical, subcritical or some mixes of these cases, and the equation can be autonomous or non-autonomous. This generalizes a result in Noris, Tavares and Verzini [\emph{Anal. PDE}, 7 (8) (2014) 1807-1838], where the equation is autonomous with homogeneous nonlinearities. Besides, we have proven some orbital stability or instability results.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of infinitely many solutions for a fractional Kirchhoff–Schrödinger–Poisson system. Based on variational methods, especially the fountain theorem for the subcritical case and the symmetric mountain pass theorem established by Kajikiya for the critical case, we obtain infinitely many solutions for the system under certain assumptions. The novelties of this article lie in the appearance of the possibly degenerate Kirchhoff function and weak assumptions on the nonlinear term which are quite mild.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the following nonlinear fractional Schrödinger equation where is a small parameter, is the fractional Laplacian operator, is a general potential which may vanish at infinity and is a general nonlinear function including both critical and subcritical cases, which may not satisfy the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition and the monotonicity condition on . Under some weaker assumptions on and , we establish the existence of positive solutions for problem (1) concentrating at a local minimum of as . Furthermore, the decay estimates for the positive solutions depending on the decay rates of the potential are obtained. The proofs of our main results are much more complicated than those in [3,15,21,32] due to the double effects of decaying potentials and nonlinearities without the condition and the monotonicity condition on . Indeed, we establish a unified approach to deal with equation (1) in which the nonlinearity satisfies Berestycki-Lions type conditions and the potential is non-vanishing or vanishing at infinity.

Abstract:We study qualitative properties of positive singular solutions to a two-coupled elliptic system with critical exponents. This system is related to coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations with critical exponents for nonlinear optics and Bose-Einstein condensates. We prove a sharp result on the removability of the same isolated singularity for both two components of the solutions. We also prove the nonexistence of positive solutions with one component bounded near the singularity and the other component unbounded near the singularity. These results will be applied in a subsequent work where the same system in a punctured ball will be studied.

Abstract:In this paper, we are concerned with the existence, multiplicity and concentration of positive ground state solutions for the semilinear Schrödinger–Poisson system {[ -ε^2Δ u+a(x)u+λϕ(x)u=b(x)f(u)+|u|^4u, x∈ℝ^3,; -ε^2Δϕ=u^2, u∈ H^1(ℝ^3), x∈ℝ^3, ]. where ε > 0 is a small parameter, f is a continuous, superlinear and subcritical nonlinearity, and λ≠0 is a real parameter. Suppose that a ( x ) has at least one global minimum and b ( x ) has at least one global maximum. We prove that there are two families of positive solutions for sufficiently small ε > 0 , of which one is concentrating on the set of minimal points of a and the other on the sets of maximal points of b . Moreover, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of positive ground state solutions.
A bifurcation phenomenon for the critical Laplace and $p$-Laplace equation in the ball

Abstract:In this paper we show that the number of radial positive solutions of the following critical problem $$ \Delta_p u(x) + \lambda K(|x|) \,u(x) \, |u(x)|^{q-2} =0\,,$$ $$ u(x)>0 \quad |x|<1,$$ $$ u(x)=0 \quad |x|=1,$$ where $q= \frac{np}{n-p}$, $\frac{2n}{n+2} \le p \le 2$ and $x \in \mathbb{R}^n$, undergoes a bifurcation phenomenon. Namely, the problem admits one solution for any $\lambda>0$ if $K$ is steep enough at $0$, while it admits no solutions for $\lambda$ small and two solutions for $\lambda$ large if $K$ is too flat at $0$. The existence of the second solution is new, even in the classical Laplace case. The proofs use Fowler transformation and dynamical systems tools.

Abstract:In this work, we focus on a class of generalized time-space fractional nonlinear Schrödinger equations arising in mathematical physics. After utilizing the general mapping deformation method and theory of planar dynamical systems with the aid of symbolic computation, abundant new exact complex doubly periodic solutions, solitary wave solutions and rational function solutions are obtained. Some of them are found for the first time and can be degenerated to trigonometric function solutions. Furthermore, by applying the bifurcation theory method, the periodic wave solutions and traveling wave solutions with the corresponding phase orbits are easily obtained. Moreover, some numerical simulations of these solutions are portrayed, showing the novelty and visibility of the dynamical structure and propagation behavior of this model.
