Abstract:Summary In this paper, the fixed‐time anti‐synchronization and synchronization fault‐tolerant control problem is considered for two identical Liu‐Chen‐Liu chaotic systems with uncertain parameters. With the help of fixed‐time stability theory and adaptive backstepping method, we propose two novel adaptive controllers. In the control scheme proposed in this paper, the adaptive backstepping technique is used to deal with the unknown parameters contained in the chaotic systems. Besides, the piecewise functional method is used to solve the singularity problem in the controller design process. The designed controllers achieve anti‐synchronization and synchronization of two identical Liu‐Chen‐Liu chaotic systems within the preset time interval. Simulation results are conducted to show the effectiveness of two proposed adaptive controllers.

Abstract:Modified function projective lag synchronization (MFPLS) of uncertain hyperchaotic dynamical systems with the same or different dimensions and structures is studied. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, a general theorem for controller designing, parameter update rule designing, and control gain strength adapt law designing is introduced by using adaptive control method. Furthermore, the scheme is applied to four typical examples: MFPLS between two five-dimensional hyperchaotic systems with the same structures, MFPLS between two four-dimensional hyperchaotic systems with different structures, MFPLS between a four-dimensional hyperchaotic system and a three-dimensional chaotic system and MFPLS between a novel three-dimensional chaotic system, and a five-dimensional hyperchaotic system. And the system parameters are all uncertain. Corresponding numerical simulations are performed to verify and illustrate the analytical results.

Abstract:The new chaos control method presented in this paper is useful for taking advantage of chaos. Based on sliding mode control theory, this paper provides a switching manifold controlling strategy of chaotic system, and also gives a kind of adaptive parameters estimated method to estimate the unknown systems' parameters by which chaotic dynamical system can be synchronized. Taking the Lorenz system as example, and with the help of this controlling strategy, we can synchronize chaotic systems with unknown parameters and different initial conditions.

Abstract:When approximate unstable periodic orbit (UPO) embedded in a discrete chaotic attractor was known only, the stable state of the system using the method of variable feedback control was discussed. The stable state is neither the approximate UPO nor the exact one. The method of using the feedback control quantity of the stable state to correct adaptively approximate UPO to exact one was proposed. It makes the system to stable on exact UPO and feedback control quantity to be zero. To certain extent, the method can correct stable state of the system induced by inaccuracy of the known orbit under branch and chaotic state, and is beneficial to enhance the robustness of the system. The simulation results on adaptive correction in No.1 and 2 period of Henon map have illustrated that the method is effective.

Abstract:In this paper, two adaptive fuzzy control schemes for a class of nonlinear systems are proposed. Each scheme employs a fuzzy control with an adaptive law, and a compensation control. It is proved that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable based on Lyapunov synthesis approach while the identification of the controlled plant is unnecessary. Finally, these schemes are applied to control a chaotic system. The simulation results show that our schemes are superior to the scheme of [12].

The discussed problem is comparatively challenging since the system owns non-triangular structure and involves unknown coefficients, unknown parameters, and complex dynamics. By proposing an improved fuzzy-based adaptive control approach, a new stable control law is designed to make semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded (SUUB). The presented method is validated with a simulation example.

Abstract:This paper focuses on addressing the adaptive fuzzy fixed-time issue for a class of nonlinear systems with uncertainty functions and mismatched disturbances. Fuzzy logical systems are utilized for identifying unknown functions. Additionally, to tackle challenges posed by mismatched disturbances, disturbance observers are constructed based on the backstepping method. Utilizing the adding one power integrator approach and the fixed-time control method, this paper introduces a fixed-time adaptive fuzzy control algorithm. Notably, this algorithm accommodates the presence of unknown mismatched disturbances and nonlinear functions. The paper establishes, through the application of the Lyapunov stability theory, that the designed adaptive fixed-time fuzzy control algorithm ensures practical fixed-time stability for the resulting closed-loop systems. Finally, the effectiveness of the derived strategy is demonstrated through an illustrative example involving two cases.

Abstract:In this research article, we have addressed the T-S (Takagi–Sugeno) fuzzy modeling and controlling and adaptive synchronization of chaotic systems. Based on the T-S fuzzy model, the fuzzy logic for controlling and synchronization for chaotic systems are designed via linear matrix inequality (LMI). We have illustrated the new chaotic Chen system. Lyapunov exponents and bifurcation diagrams of new Chen system are obtained to justify the chaos in system. Analytical and computational studies of new Chen systems with triangular fuzzy membership function have been performed by using LMI toolbox. Numerical simulation illustrates the controlling chaos as well as adaptive synchronization for the identical systems. Feedback gain matrices and Lyapunov positive definite matrix for the synchronization of identical new Chen systems are obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, the chaos synchronization of time-delayed fractional-order (FO) Lorenz chaotic systems and time-delayed FO Chen chaotic systems with different fractional derivative order is considered. First, by use of the fractional calculus techniques, we give the phase trajectories of the time-delayed FO Lorenz and time-delayed FO Chen chaotic systems. Then, combined the active control and adaptive control theory, a novel synchronization scheme, which includes the compensation controller and the optimal controller, is proposed for two time-delayed FO chaotic systems with different structure and different order in presence of parameter uncertainty. Based on the new version of FO Lyapunov stability theory, we design the compensation controllers and optimal controllers, respectively. Finally, numerical simulations have shown to illustrate the effectiveness and validation of the proposed method.

Abstract:This paper deals with chaos synchronization problem between two different uncertain fractional-order (FO) chaotic systems with disturbance based on FO Lyapunov stability analysis method. A T–S fuzzy neural network model as a universal approximator is constructed to approximate those uncertain terms and unknown parameters. An adaptive sliding mode control scheme is established, and the adaptive sliding mode control design procedure is proposed, which not only guarantees the stability and robustness of the proposed control method, but also guarantees that the external disturbance on the synchronization error can be attenuated. Finally, simulation results show applicability and feasibility of the proposed control strategy.

Abstract:The paper investigates the robust synchronization for two identical uncertain chaotic systems with different parameters perturbation and external disturbances. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques and adaptive techniques, a novel controller is proposed. With the resulting controller, global asymptotical synchronization between two identical uncertain chaotic systems is achieved. Finally, a Lorenz system is given as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

Abstract:A novel adaptive control method is proposed for a class of chaotic systems with uncertain parameters,based on Lyaponov function.Using the presented method,a controller is developed,which can remove chaos in nonlinear systems and make the system asymptotically stabilizing to any desired smooth orbit.The controller is directly constructed by analytic formula without knowing unknown bounds about uncertain parameters in advance.Computer simulation example is given to validate the proposed approach.

Abstract:<p>This paper considers the problem of fuzzy logic adaptive fixed-time control for nonlinear switched system. Different from existing research results on fixed-time control, the system functions are completely uncertain in this paper. The approximation error will cause Lyapunov function not to be negative definite. To address this problem, a new criterion of fixed-time stability is developed at first. Based on this fixed-time theory, a fuzzy logic control method is proposed by using backstepping technique. The proposed adaptive laws in this paper do not satisfy a series of linear differential equations but nonlinear ones. Simulation results verify the feasibility of presented algorithms.</p>

Abstract:Based on adaptive nonlinear feedback technique, two appropriate controllers are designed to suppress the chaotic behavior of the whole family of the generalized Lorenz system. The derived controllers have nonlinear compensator mechanisms to compensate the system nonlinearities and external disturbances. As a result the output trajectory control is accomplished. According to Lyapunov stability theory the stability analysis of the closed-loop control system is deduced. By numeric simulation, it has been shown that the designed controllers can successfully regulate the chaotic motion of the whole family of the system to a given point or make the output state to track a given bounded signal with great robustness. At the same time the required closed loop behavior is obtained. The most important effect of this letter is that under the actions of the universal controllers deduced from the adaptive technique the problem of chaos suppression of all the Lorenz-type systems can be solved successfully. Moreover the controllers have the ability of attenuating disturbances and the controller parameters are easy to tune according to rigorous analysis of stability. Based on theoretic analysis the designed controllers also provide a heuristic approach for other chaos suppression problems.

Abstract:A fuzzy adaptive control method is proposed for a class of non-affine nonlinear systems. By combing implicit function theorem and time scale separation, the control input is derived from the solution of a fast dynamical equation. Stability analysis shows that the proposed approach can guarantee the boundedness of the tracking error semi-globally, which can be made arbitrarily small by choosing appropriate design parameters. Abstract:It is difficult to establish accurate mathematical models for the nonlinear system with time-delay,and it also often accompanied by uncertainty,so it is hard to depend on the traditional method of mathematical model analysis and control system.According to the characteristics of nonlinear time-delay systems,this paper presents the control strategy of T-S fuzzy control and adaptive robust control combination,T-S fuzzy model can make the local linearization of nonlinear systems,and the adaptive robust control can guarantee the system global stability under the premise and solve the uncertainty caused by the delay.Through MATLAB simulation analysis,verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the control strategy.
