Abstract:Why are the product design of the Apple Inc. are so successful in the dog-eat-dog market? One of the most important reasons is that the mental imageries of product user experience design of Apple Inc. are close to the user's expectant material mental imageries.In this study, we want to gain the main mental imageries of information product materials user experience design of the target users(18-28 years old university students or the recent graduates in the east of China) in the near future of the next 1-2 years. We used Culture Scan, Contextual Inquiry, Semantic Differential Method, and the Coordinate of Mental Imagery to study. We discovered that the main mental imageries of information product materials user experience design of the target users in the near future of the next 1-2 years are high-technological and fashionable. We built a bridge from the the material mental imagery of the user to the material mental imagery of the designer. The actual demand of the consumers could be more easily understood by the company.

Abstract:Alarm clocks are a common fixture in almost all houses and it plays a vital role in determining a person's state of mind for the rest of the day. The Smart Alarm is a fully integrated alarm clock that will help the user to wake up in the morning with lights that gradually increase in brightness and the user’s favorite music or a default beeping tone when the brightness has reached its maximum. There is an additional feature that generates a tantalizing coffee aroma for waking up the person in a relatively pleasant environment. Weather forecast and reminders will also be displayed in the clock. The sunrise simulation, aroma generation, weather forecast and news display will be done using Arduino Uno R3.

Abstract:This study focuses on evaluating a new alarm clock components and function to reduce the necessary quantities and to determine the potential to enhance sustainable design. The project aims to create a new alarm clock to enhance or improvise the alarm clock. To evaluate the built component, the CAD programme is used to create the new alarm clock and then transferred to FEA. The research will lead to understanding the use of CAD tools for the design and study of alarm clock enhancement by carrying out the project. This new approach shows that the tools that are to be used to reduce the cost of creating a new alarm clock and to enhance the environmental aspects of product design are successful.

Abstract:The safety of househood is the key part of personal and property safety.As the increased case of housebreaking and robbery,the demand of a cheap,simple house alarm system with small disturbance is rising day by day.It introduces an alarm system based on the 80C51 microcontroller,describing its composition and software/hardware design.This system integrates situation identification,voice warning,on-site and remote alarming with relatively low cost,guaranteeing a friendly man-machine-environment by providing both guests and the house owner with necessary instructions.It supports operations including system activation/deactivation,time setting,password setting,alarming phone numbers setting,alarming time and phone number recording and checking.When activated,it would simultaneously ring the alarm and dial the stored numbers to inform the owner or the police of the potential housebreaking.The system designed here will be base of the practicle alarm system in the future.

Abstract:At present, many countries and regions around the world have entered an aging society, so the demand intelligent elderly product has begun to double. However, in the design process of intelligent elderly products, there is a lack of a set of perfect method model and evaluation criteria for the application of humanistic care factors in intelligent elderly products. To standardize the use of humanistic care factors in the design of intelligent elderly products. Firstly, this study uses grounded theory to code and analyze the humanistic care factors. Secondly, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and analytic network process (ANP) are used for comparative study to obtain the sensitivity priority of the application of humanistic care factors, and a new design method model is proposed. Finally, the fuzzy evaluation method is used to verify the rationality of the design method model. The study shows that the use of humanistic care factors has the greatest impact on emotion, especially in the consideration of Interactivity, followed by Color mildness and Companionship. The results are divided in the form of a hierarchical demand tower, to establish a new Humanistic-care Factors Application Hierarchical Design-model (HFAHD) for intelligent elderly products. The HFAHD can not only help designers to improve the design efficiency in the design of intelligent elderly products, but also further standardize the use of humanistic care factors in the design of intelligent elderly products. Through the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research, it is proposed to divide the use of humanistic care factors into hierarchical models to help designers better use the HFAHD. This study not only improves the design standards of intelligent elderly products, but also extends to other design fields in further research, and promotes the more rational use of humanistic care factors in design.

Abstract:This study aims to create a smart pillow design concept to help sleep-deprived sufferers get a better sleep experience. In this preliminary research, we involved three college students with a sleep deprivation problem through the design process: discover, define, develop, and deliver. From the design process, we create a smart pillow capable of creating an ambient experience to help sleep-deprived sufferers through four interactions: lullaby music player, alarm, temperature control, and sleep data recapitulation. We test the concept remotely using the Wizard of Oz method. Although the testing impaired by our limitation on simulating the interaction remotely, we have gathered valuable input to improve the concept in the next iteration.

Abstract:The intelligent trends in the household environment result in the growing expectations for interactive experience. However, most traditional products do not meet the emotional demand of customers because of their rigid operation mode and aesthetic form. This paper is going to present a system combines potential control awareness of the user and anthropomorphic responsive behaviors of the objects to help creating brand new smart products. A smart lighting model is explored to explain specific details by two application scenarios: anthropomorphic affordances of perceiving control behavior and the idle state. The work aims at creating a new form of product that enrich the emotion value of daily commodities in household environments and enhance emotional communication with human.

[The circuit design of an alarm system for the old solitary man based on daily life]

Abstract:The system with DS1302 as its clock makes one hour as one basic time unit, and thus there will be 24 monitoring segments in a day. It watches the movements of the aged through the sensors placed in the house-rooms such as bedroom, kitchen, and obtains the data of the movements and activities. Based on the data the MCU (Micro Control Unit) will make an hourly judgment whether the movements and activities are normal ones. When the system makes sure they are abnormal, it will dial out the setting telephone saved in EEPROM, waiting for the other end to pick up phone and then will send the tone alarm out. Once an accident happens, the alarm will be started up immediately by pressing the emergency button of the remote control. When the aged is out, he or she can shift the health mode to the away mode by the remote control, and the system will act as a home security system. In simulation experiments, the system works well at recognizing the data of movements and has a very low mis-alarm ratio. The system provides a viable solution to the social problem of looking after the aged who lives alone.

Abstract:In this age of high technology development, a greater number of people are facing modern civilization diseases due to lifestyle changes. Fast-paced and busy lifestyles, noisy nightlife, and other various social parameters have resulted in increased disturbance during sleeping. In addition to external causes, a stressed-out mind is a source of anxiety or excitement that can lead to sleep disturbances. The aim of this research is to propose an interactive robotic system companion which could be used in the treatment of insomnia by providing various interactive services to the user. In addition to direct communication, the robot employs a variety of environmental and physiological sensors to receive feedback from a user and observe performance. One of the key modules of this system is the use of electroencephalography for monitoring sleep quality. We use an interaction design approach based on simplicity and approachability. Speech Recognition and Human-Computer Interaction are the two major parts of this research. The robot's audio channel uses Speech Recognition to communicate with the user, mostly via conversation because other forms of direct communication are not convenient for this scenario. The Human-Computer Interaction aspect includes playing suitable music (including white noise) and spraying essential oils according to different instructions. In addition to establishing multimodal interactive connection with the user, the system also provides entertainment services. The aim is for this proposed robot to act as a personal companion for people with insomnia and improve their quality of sleeping.

Abstract:A sort of intelligence mobile alarm network device was designed.The device integrated the mobile communications and alarm functions.Working principle of device was analyzed and the master device and the slave device were designed.This paper mainly introduced the design of reset model,the design of real time clock module,the design of alarm module,the design of PWM module and power supply module based on Nios II and so on.Experiments showed that this system had advantages of 2M bps transmission rate,50 meter alarm distance between the master device and the slave device,low transmit power and high reliability.It possessed high application value and promoting value.

Abstract:Now, more and more products are developing towards intelligence or using some intelligent control modules and programming language to carry out simple self-control, which provide us with a more convenient and intelligent life, also indicates that people begin to pursue a more comfortable life. Electric light can be said to be the first household electric appliance invented by human beings. With the development of modern lighting technology and integrated circuit, various lighting lamps and lanterns have appeared, which have been partially intelligent and put into the market. Intelligent lighting is an important part of smart home. With the increasing popularity of iPad, Android mobile phone and tablet, intelligent lighting is getting closer and closer to the home of ordinary consumers. Products from intelligent light bulb to intelligent lamp holder and intelligent control box have been listed, including Philips. The appearance of the hue bulb, for the first time opened the magic veil of ordinary home intelligent lighting scene change. It also opened a new chapter of low energy consumption, environmental protection, dimming, color matching intelligent home lighting. Therefore, the author wants to design a new kind of intelligent home lighting, which is different from the existing intelligent lighting in the market, and it is more humanized. Or it can be called a kind of healthy lighting [1]. It is possible that it can be one of the direction for the development of intelligence in the future.
