Abstract:Aim:To analyze the periodontal clinical indicators and the serum level of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) of chronic periodontitis with coronary heart disease.Methods:A total of 44 cases of chronic periodontitis with coronary heart disease,48 cases of chronic periodontitis,and 45 healthy controls were subjected to perform periodontal examinations and the measurement of serum levels of TNF-α.Results:Among the three groups,there were significant differences in serum TNF-α level,average probing depth,average attachment loss and average sulcus bleeding index(F=49.424,274.630,1 051.612,303.041,P0.001).The results of the indexes mentioned above of the chronic periodontitis with coronary heart disease group were higher than those of chronic periodontitis group and healthy control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Coronary heart disease may have some impacts on periodontal local inflammation.

Abstract:Backgrounds: Although worldwide evidence tends to prove that diabetes adversely affects periodontal health, there are insufficient clues indicating whether periodontitis may aggravate metabolic control and systemic inflammation. This study, as a preliminary part of an ongoing research project, aims to clarify the relationship of periodontal parameters with metabolic levels and systemic inflammatory markers in patients with diabetes.Methods: A total of 140 qualified, adult patients with type 2 diabetes and periodontitis were recruited into this study. Periodontal examinations, including a full-mouth assessment of probing depths (PDs), bleeding on probing, gingival recession, and clinical attachment level, were determined. Blood analyses were carried out for glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting glucose, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), and lipid profiles. Subjects were divided into three groups according to tertiles of the mean PD and compared.Results: Upon an analysis of covariance, subjects with an increased mean PD had significantly higher levels of HbA1c and hsCRP (P <0.05). No significant difference was found among different groups in the levels of serum TNF-alpha, fasting glucose, and lipid profiles (P >0.05). After controlling for age, gender, body mass index, duration of diabetes mellitus, smoking, regular physical exercise, and alcohol consumption, positive correlations were found between mean PD and HbA1c (r = 0.2272; P= 0.009) and between mean PD and hsCRP (r = 0.2336; P= 0.007). After adjustment for possible confounders, the mean PD emerged as a significant predictor variable for elevated levels of HbA1c and hsCRP (P<0.05).Conclusion: Chronic periodontitis was associated with glycemic metabolic and serum hsCRP levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of periodontal inflammatory on the level of hs-CRP in diabetes patients with periodontitis of Guangzhou area.Methods All of participants,123 cases of diabetes patients with chronic periodontitis and 145 cases of chronic periodontitis,were asked to complete full-mouth periodontal assessment and blood sample analysis.Periodontal examinations,including probing depth,bleeding on probing,clinical attachment level,were recorded.The level of hs-CRP was measured.Results The level of hs-CRP and PD in diabetes with chronic periodontitis group was higher than chronic periodontitis group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion Periodontal inflammatory may rise the level of fasting blood sugar in type 2 diabetes with chronic periodontitis patients.

Abstract:Periodontal disease (PD), as an age-related disease, prevalent in middle-aged and elderly population, is characterized as inflammatory periodontal tissue loss, including gingival inflammation and alveolar bone resorption. However, the definite mechanism of aging-related inflammation in PD pathology needs further investigation. Our study is aimed at exploring the effect of inflamm-aging-related cytokines of interleukin-17 (IL-17) and interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) on osteoclastogenesis in vitro and periodontal destruction in vivo. For receptor activator of nuclear factor-kappa B ligand- (RANKL-) primed bone marrow macrophages (BMMs), IL-17 and IFN-gamma enhanced osteoclastogenesis, with the expression of osteoclastogenic mRNA (TRAP, c-Fos, MMP-9, Ctsk, and NFATc1) and protein (c-Fos and MMP-9) upregulated. Ligament-induced rat models were established to investigate the role of IL-17 and IFN-gamma on experimental periodontitis. Both IL-17 and IFN-gamma could enhance the local inflammation in gingival tissues. Although there might be an antagonistic interaction between IL-17 and IFN-gamma, IL-17 and IFN-gamma could facilitate alveolar bone loss and osteoclast differentiation.

Abstract:Abstract Background Periodontitis is a chronic oral inflammatory disease that seriously affects people's quality of life. The purpose of our study was to investigate the correlation between the systemic immune inflammation index (SII) and periodontitis by utilizing a large national survey. This will establish a reference for the early identification and management of periodontitis. Methods This study comprised the adult US population who participated in a national periodontitis surveillance project during the six years from 2009 to 2014. Through the utilization of univariate and multivariate weighted logistic regression, we investigated the correlation between the systemic immune inflammation index and periodontitis. Additionally, we employed sensitivity analyses to evaluate the robustness of our findings. Results The study involved 10,366 participants with an average age of 51.00 years, of whom 49.45% were male (N = 5126) and 50.55% were female (N = 5240). The prevalence of periodontitis is estimated to be about 38.43% in the US adults aged 30 or older population. Our logistic regression models indicated a positive association between a SII higher than 978 × 10 9 /L and periodontitis. The elder group (aged 50 or older) with SII higher than 978 × 10 9 /L demonstrated a significant correlation with periodontitis in the fully adjusted model (Odds Ratio [OR] = 1.409, 95% Confidence Interval [CI] 1.037, 1.915, P = 0.022). However, there is no statistical difference among adults aged 30 to 50. The robustness of our findings was confirmed through sensitivity analyses. Conclusions Our study highlights that SII is associated with periodontitis in a nationally representative sample of US adults. And the SII is significantly associated with a high risk of periodontitis in individuals aged 50 or older.

Abstract:<section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Aim</h3><p>To investigate the association between dietary inflammatory potential and poor periodontal health.</p></section><section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Material and Methods</h3><p>A cross‐sectional analysis of a nationally representative sample of participants was performed. NHANES 2011–2014 (<i>n</i> = 7,081) and NHANES 2001–2004 (<i>n</i> = 5,098) were used as discovery and validation datasets, respectively. The energy‐adjusted dietary inflammatory index (E‐DII) score was calculated for each participant based on 24‐hr dietary recalls to assess diet‐associated inflammation. Periodontitis was defined by the CDC/AAP using clinical periodontal parameters. Natural cubic spline was applied to identify any non‐linear associations of the E‐DII score with moderate/severe periodontitis. Furthermore, interaction analyses were performed by age, gender, and race/ethnicity to explore the moderating roles of these factors. </p></section><section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Results</h3><p>In the discovery dataset, a non‐linear positive relationship with periodontitis was identified for the E‐DII score (<i>P</i> <sub>non‐linearity</sub> < .001) after adjustment for potential confounders. Compared with those individuals in the lowest tertile of E‐DII, participants in the highest tertile who consumed a pro‐inflammatory diet were 53% more likely to be periodontitis (OR <sub>tertile3vs1</sub> = 1.53, 95% CI: 1.33–1.77). The validation dataset showed similar associations. Relatively stronger associations were seen in older adults and males. </p></section><section class="article-section__content"><h3 class="article-section__sub-title section1"> Conclusion</h3><p>Consuming a pro‐inflammatory diet indicated by the E‐DII score is associated with periodontal disease in the U.S. general adult population.</p></section>

Analysis of risk indicators for implant failure in patients with chronic periodontitis

Abstract:Dental implant restoration shows an effective method for the rehabilitation of missing teeth. The failure rate of periodontal implants in patients with chronic periodontitis is associated with periodontal flora, inflammation, and long-term periodontal bone resorption caused by chronic periodontitis. However, the therapeutic effects of dental implant restoration on inflammation in patients with chronic periodontitis have not addressed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the risk indicators for inflammation, bone loss and implant failure in patients with chronic periodontitis. A total of 284 patients with dental implant restoration were recruited and divided into periodontally healthy patients ( n = 128) and chronic periodontitis patients ( n = 156). Periodontal indices including probing depth (PD), sulcus bleeding index (SBI), plaque index (PLI), gingival bleeding (GIL) and bleeding on probing (BOP) were compared in two groups. Inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-1 (IL-1), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) levels at baseline, 6 and 12 months after surgery, and the implant survival rate at 12 months after surgery, as well as the risk factors associated with failure of dental implant were also assessed. Outcomes demonstrated that patients in the chronic periodontitis group had higher values of periodontal indices than those in the periodontally healthy group. All inflammatory parameters in the chronic periodontitis group were higher than those in the periodontally healthy group and negatively associated with the chronic periodontal index (CPI) in chronic periodontitis patients. Chronic periodontitis patients had higher the prevalence of mucositis and peri-implantitis than patients with healthy periodontium. Implant diameter, length and design was associated with the risk of implant failure for chronic periodontitis patients receiving dental implant. The cumulative implant failure rate and incidence of implant fractures for chronic periodontitis patients at 12 months after surgery were 12.10% and 7.23% ( p < 0.05), respectively, while were lower in the heathy periodontitis patients. Location, diameter, implant design, immediate loading and bone defect were risk indicators for bone loss for dental implant patients. The risk factors associated with failure of dental implant was higher in chronic periodontitis patients than patients in the periodontally healthy group (14.25% vs. 4.92%, p < 0.05). In conclusion, data in the current study indicate that inflammation is a risk indicator bone loss, implant fracture and implant failure in patients with chronic periodontitis.

U-shaped association between pan-immune-inflammation value and periodontitis: NHANES 2009-2014

Abstract:Background: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV) and periodontitis based on a large national survey. Methods: In the present cross-sectional study, data were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2009-2014, which included a total of 10,300 participants. The categorization of periodontitis was based on the 2017 classification scheme. The PIV was determined using the formula: (neutrophils count × monocyte count × platelet count)/lymphocytes count. Restricted cubic spline and weighted multivariable logistic regression analyses were employed to evaluate the associations between the PIV with periodontitis. Results: The associations between PIV and stage III/IV periodontitis followed a U-shaped pattern (Pnon-linearity < 0.001). The risk of developing stage III/IV periodontitis showed an increasing trend among participants in the first quartile (odds ratio [OR] = 1.21; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.01-1.46), third quartile (OR = 1.34; 95% CI: 1.11-1.61), and fourth quartile (OR = 1.47; 95% CI: 1.25-1.73) compared to those in the second quartile. Subgroup analysis indicated stronger associations of PIV with periodontitis in males (ORQ4vs2 = 1.72, 95% CI: 1.36-2.18) and individuals with hypertension (ORQ4vs2 = 1.78, 95% CI: 1.38-2.28) with significant interactions (Pinteraction < 0.05). Conclusions: There is a U-shaped association between PIV and stage III/IV periodontitis, which suggests a potential adjunctive treatment strategy for periodontitis. Higher PIV values were found to have a stronger correlation with stage III/IV periodontitis in males and individuals with hypertension. Further prospective trials are needed to confirm the validity of our results. Plain language summary: A U-shaped association exists between the pan-immune inflammation value and periodontitis in US adults, suggesting that maintaining a moderate immune inflammation response is crucial for periodontal health.
The effect of periodontal health and disease on interleukin 1β and nesfatin-1 levels in gingival crevicular fluid: A cross-sectional study

Abstract:Introduction: Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease associated with dental biofilm, poses a significant threat to oral health. This study explores the roles of interleukin 1β (IL-1β) and nesfatin-1 in periodontal diseases, aiming to contribute to the molecular understanding of their pathogenesis. Material and methods: A diverse cohort of 62 participants was recruited, spanning ages 20 to 60, and categorized into healthy, gingivitis, and periodontitis groups. Clinical measurements, including plaque index, gingival index, probing pocket depth, and bleeding on probing, were conducted. Gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) samples were collected for IL-1β and nesfatin-1 analysis using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Statistical analysis employed Kruskal-Wallis and Spearman correlation tests. Results: Significant differences in oral hygiene habits were observed among groups, particularly in the 40-60 age range. Clinical indices showed variations, with the highest IL-1β levels in the periodontitis group and the lowest nesfatin-1 levels. Correlation analysis revealed positive associations between IL-1β, nesfatin-1, and oral indices. Conclusions: While providing valuable insights, we acknowledge this study's limitations, including a cross-sectional design and a specific age range. Future research should employ longitudinal designs and larger cohorts, and explore broader inflammatory markers, genetic influences, and confounding variables for a more comprehensive understanding of periodontal diseases. The findings underscore the complex interplay between inflammatory markers and periodontal health.
Glucose and Lipid Metabolism Indexes and Blood Inflammatory Biomarkers of Patients with Severe Periodontitis: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Abstract:BACKGROUND To investigate the relation of established glucose and lipid metabolism indexes and blood inflammatory biomarkers with severe periodontitis in systemically healthy patients. METHODS Systemically healthy stage III/IV periodontitis patients (case group) (n = 397), stage II periodontitis patients (n = 36), and periodontally healthy subjects (control group) (n = 285) were recruited. A periodontal examination, complete blood cell examination, and blood biochemical examination were conducted for all participants. Full-mouth apical films were taken for the case group. Both the case and control groups were divided by age into younger (≤35 years) and elder subjects. Multiple logistic regression analysis and Pearson correlation analysis were conducted. A logistic least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) model was constructed for the younger subgroups. RESULTS Various glucose and lipid metabolism indexes and blood inflammatory biomarkers significantly differed between severe periodontitis patients and healthy controls, and the younger subgroups presented a greater degree of statistical differences than the elder ones. More pairs of periodontal parameters and blood indexes with significantly fair linear correlations were found in the younger patient subgroup. A logistic LASSO regression model containing eight blood indexes to assess a severe periodontitis outcome in younger subgroups showed satisfactory predictive ability. CONCLUSION The present study revealed various glucose and lipid metabolism indexes and blood inflammatory biomarkers significantly differ between severe periodontitis patients and healthy controls, especially in the younger subgroups. A LASSO regression model could be a viable option to assess severe periodontitis risk for younger patients. SUMMARY The present study revealed significant differences in glucose and lipid metabolism indexes and blood inflammatory biomarkers between patients with severe periodontitis and periodontally healthy individuals, especially in younger subjects. Abstract:Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects the supporting structures of the teeth, including the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone. Periodontal disease is due to an immune response that stimulates gingivitis and periodontitis, and its systemic consequences. This immune response is triggered by bacteria and may be modulated by environmental conditions such as smoking or systemic disease. Recent advances in single cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) and in vivo animal studies have provided new insight into the immune response triggered by bacteria that causes periodontitis and gingivitis. Dysbiosis, which constitutes a change in the bacterial composition of the microbiome, is a key factor in the initiation and progression of periodontitis. The host immune response to dysbiosis involves the activation of various cell types, including keratinocytes, stromal cells, neutrophils, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells and several lymphocyte subsets, which release pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. Periodontal disease has been implicated in contributing to the pathogenesis of several systemic conditions, including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer's disease. Understanding the complex interplay between the oral microbiome and the host immune response is critical for the development of new therapeutic strategies for the prevention and treatment of periodontitis and its systemic consequences.

Abstract:This research focuses on investigating the changes of oral flora, inflammatory factors, and immune function indicators in patients with chronic periodontitis (CP) and their clinical significances. Clinical indices such as gingival index (GI) and sulcus bleeding index (SBI) of the study subjects were recorded. The levels of oral flora, inflammatory factors and T lymphocyte subsets in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) of the study subjects were measured. To analyze the correlation between GI and gingival SBI and oral flora, inflammatory factors, and immune function indicators, Pearson correlation analysis was performed. Porphyromonas gingivalis, Streptococcus digestiveis, Prevotella intermedia, Veronococcus, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-8, CD3+, CD4+, and CD4+/CD8+ had a positive correlation with GI and SBI, while IL-10 and CD8+ were negatively correlated with GI and SBI. Oral flora, inflammatory factors and immune function indicators levels are largely elevated in patients with CP and they are correlated with CP clinical indicators.

Abstract:Systemic levels of C-reactive protein and interleukin-6 have been reported to be elevated in patients with periodontitis compared with periodontally healthy individuals. Most studies included patients with chronic periodontitis and comprised predominantly Caucasians. The aim of this study was to determine the relative levels of C-reactive protein and interleukin-6 in plasma of patients with aggressive periodontitis in China and to examine the relationships between these two inflammatory mediators and clinical parameters, peripheral blood cells and protein variables. Plasma samples were collected from 84 patients with aggressive periodontitis and from 65 control subjects. Periodontal examination consisted of taking probing depth and attachment loss measurements. The levels of plasma C-reactive protein and interleukin-6 were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. The levels of plasma C-reactive protein in patients with aggressive periodontitis were significantly higher than those in control subjects (1.87 vs. 0.52 mg/L). The level of plasma interleukin-6 in patients with aggressive periodontitis was 1.20 pg/mL, higher than that in control subjects (0.08 pg/mL). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that log C-reactive protein was significantly related to severe sites percentage and albumin following correction for age, gender, body mass index and smoking (p = 0.000, p = 0.008, respectively). Log interleukin-6 was found to be significantly correlated with periodontal diagnosis, leukocyte count and level of fasting blood glucose after adjusting for the confounders (p = 0.000, p = 0.009 and p = 0.013, respectively). Patients with aggressive periodontitis have significantly elevated levels of plasma C-reactive protein and interleukin-6. These elevated inflammatory factors might potentially increase the risk for cardiovascular events and glucose dysregulation in relatively young individuals.
Association between the Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index and periodontitis in US adults: a cross-sectional analysis

Abstract:Background: The pathogenesis of periodontitis may be related to host-mediated inflammatory and immune responses caused by accumulation of oral microbial plaque. Nutrients have anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory capabilities. Dietary intake of antioxidants and micronutrients is associated with the inflammatory burden of the diet. The Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI) is a composite index for assessing the antioxidant properties of a diet and the relationship with periodontitis is unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between periodontitis and CDAI. Methods: The study was a cross-sectional design and included 7471 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2009-2014 database. Participants were divided into experimental and control groups according to the relevant criteria, where the control group consisted of participants with no/mild periodontitis (including 3646 participants) and the experimental group consisted of participants with moderate/severe periodontitis (including 3825 participants). First, baseline characteristics 22 of the two groups of participants were compared. Weighted logistic regression analyses was used to explore the relationship between periodontitis and CDAI. And the linear relationship between the two was assessed using restricted cubic spline. Finally, subgroup analyses was used to assess model stability. Results: Differences between the two groups of participants were statistically significant in age, gender, race, education, ratio of household income to poverty(PIR), body mass index(BMI), smoking status, drinking status, and prevalence of diabetes. CDAI, as a continuous variable, was not found to be significantly associated with periodontitis. The CDAI was converted to categorical variables according to quartile. In model1, participants in the second and third quartile groups had a lower risk of developing periodontitis compared with participants in the lowest quartile group(OR(95%CI):0.81(0.681,0.963),P=0.021;OR(95%CI):0.811(0.691,0. 951),P=0.014;respectively). In model2, participants in the second, third, and fourth quartile groups had a lower risk of developing periodontitis compared to the lowest quartile group(OR(95%CI):0.803(0.66,0.978),P=0.0349;OR(95%CI):0.753( 0.632, 0.897),P=0.0028;OR(95%CI):0.753(0.617,0.92),P=0.0083;respectively). There was a non-linear relationship between CDAI and periodontitis (p non-linearity = 0.0055), with the inflection point occurring at a CDAI equal to 0.6342. Conclusion: There is a nonlinear relationship 44 between CDAI and periodontitis in US adults. However, further prospective studies are still needed to validate our results.
The Determination on the Levels of Interleukin-8 in Experimental Peri-Implantitis

Abstract:Objective: The changes of IL-8 levels and clinical indexs were compared between experimental peri-implantitis and healthy case of dogs. Methods: The animal model of peri-implantitis of dogs were established through silk knot. The contents and total amounts of IL-8 cytokine within gingival crevicular fluids(GCF) between 28 experimental peri-implantitis implants and 27 own controlled healthy implants on 5 dog models were examined by double-antibody sandwich ABC-ELISA method. At the same time,the clinical indexes about gingiva ,such as PI(plaque index)、PD(probing deepth)、GI(gingiva index) and MOB(mobility) were surveyed.The data were analyzed by software package SPSS 12.0. Results: Significant differences of the total amounts of IL-8、contents of IL-8 and GCF volume between the two groups were displayed (P 0.01), GCF volume and contents of IL-8 were positively correlated with the clinical indexes(P0.01).Conclusion:IL-8 was concerned with the immunological response of peri-implantitis ,and it could be used to evaluate the healthy condition of the peri-implantitis.

Abstract:Inflammation is a complex physiological process that plays a pivotal role in many if not all pathological conditions, including infectious as well as inflammatory diseases, like periodontitis and autoimmune disorders. Inflammatory response to periodontal biofilms and tissue destruction in periodontitis is associated with the release of inflammatory mediators. Chronic inflammation can promote the development of cancer. Persistence of inflammatory mediators plays a crucial role in this process. Quantification and monitoring of the severity of inflammation in relation to cancer is essential. Periodontitis is mainly quantified based on the severity and extent of attachment loss and/or pocket probing depth, in addition with bleeding on probing. In recent years, studies started to investigate inflammation indices in association with periodontal diseases. To date, only few reviews have been published focusing on the relationship between blood cell count, inflammation indices, and periodontitis. This review presents a comprehensive overview of different systemic inflammation indices, their methods of measurement, and the clinical applications in relation to periodontitis and cancer. This review outlines the physiological basis of inflammation and the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms of the parameters described. Key inflammation indices are commonly utilized in periodontology such as the neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio. Inflammation indices like the platelet to lymphocyte ratio, platelet distribution width, plateletcrit, red blood cell distribution width, lymphocyte to monocyte ratio, delta neutrophil index, and the systemic immune inflammation index are also used in hospital settings and will be discussed. The clinical roles and limitations, relationship to systemic diseases as well as their association to periodontitis and treatment response are described.

Study on Prevalence and Risk Indicators for Peri-implant Disease

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the prevalence of peri-implant disease and identify the risk indicators for periimplantitis in Chinese population.Methods:One thousand six hundred and twelve implants in 736 patients were enrolled which were placed and restored in the second dental center of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology,mean loading period (22.64±0.92) months.The periodontal parameters including plaque index (PLI),probing depth (PD),bleeding index (BI),keratinized gingiva width (KGW),residual cement,and bone resorption were recorded.Full mouth periodontal examinations were investigated including PD,BI,and missing teeth.The diagnosis of peri-implantitis and peri-implant mucositis were according to the definition in the consensus report of the Seventh European Workshop on Periodontology.Periodontal status around implants was compared among different implant systems and different loading periods.The associations between PLI,PD,BI,KGW,cement around implant,periodontal status of residual teeth,missing teeth,and peri-implantitis were analyzed by logistic regres sion.Results:Peri-implant mucositis (bleeding on probing (BOP) and no bone loss) occurred in 81.90％ of the subjects and 83.60％ of the implants.Peri-implantitis (BOP and bone loss) occurred in 4.50％ of the subjects and 3.70 ％ of the implants.The prevalence of peri-implantitis showed no significant difference among Straumann,Bicon,3i and Nobel Replace system.The prevalence of peri implantitis in group loading 0.5-1 year and 5 7.5years were significant lower than those in groups loading1 2,2 3,3-4,and 4-5years (P＜0.05).In the multivariate analysis,missing teeth,mean PD round implant,and mean BI round implant were significant risk indicators for peri-implantitis,after adjusting gender,age,smoking,residual cement,and KGW.Conclusion:The prevelence of peri-implant mucositis was high,the prevelence of peri-implantitis was not increased according to the extension of loading period.It is important to control the probing depth and bleeding on probing around implant to avoid peri-implantitis.
