Abstract:This article will analyse the metaphor at the beginning of The Wuthering Heights to prove that The Wuthering Heights is virtually a feminine inner world which stubbornly resist the male discourse.And the feminine inner world which the author took great pains to build up demonstrates the self-consciousness and self-characteristic in the heart of the woman who lived under the strong pressure of the male-dominated society,lonely,depressed and permeated with irrepressible vitality and desire.In the course of further interpreting,we will find that the novel described a history of feminine narcissism and rebel,a history of feminine revenge ,and a history of feminine pursuit in the male-dominated society.It is exactly the expression of the writress's self-experience. [

Abstract:In China, the phenomenon known as "Wan Yu Literature" has recently taken social media by storm, igniting intense discussions among people. This trend is centered around Lin Wan Yu, a character from the popular Chinese TV series, "Love Apartment". Following a scene in which Lin writes a letter to her boyfriend, Zhan Bo, expressing her evolved understanding of life, many female netizens have been emulating this act as a way of exploring self-discovery and feminism. The discussion surrounding "Wan Yu Literature" reflects a deeper ideological transformation in society, as women assert their right to define what "running away" means for themselves, demonstrating a desire for greater gender equality and individual freedom.

Abstract:Wuthering Heights is a remarkable saga of love and revenge, centered on the passionate character of Heathcliff. Being set in the Victorian era Wuthering Heights comprise of some elements of the Victorian society. The Victorian women were so fragile that they are always seen as a mere being that has confined within some expected rules or norms of the society. They neither have the rights to raise their voice against the ill treatment done by the patriarchal society nor are they being treated well. The women were always victimized and dominated by the patriarchal hegemony. In this context female characters in Wuthering Heights viz Catherine, Isabella, Cathy and Nelly were also victimized by the male hegemony. The female character though being victimized they do have some faulty according to the norms of the Victorian society. Hence, the female characters in the novel are not confirming the Victorian women flocks, but rather they are seen as reacting against the norms of gender.

So the writing about feminism in this novel, namely the status of women, legalities of marriage, women’s education, moral standard upon sex as well as Jane Austen’s own life experience. Abstract:Underpinned by certain Female Gothic elements, Emily Brontë, the maverick female writer in the 19th century, unmasked in her novel Wuthering Heights the increasingly intense alienation in spaces of intimacy as a result of the male-dominated social structure and its ruthless constraints on women, which deprived the fair sex of sense of safety and comfort in the domestic spheres and even provoked their desire for escaping. Her portrait of the three Gothic female characters and the crafting of a Female Gothic ending indicated possible ways to wrestle against the alienation together with the gender-biased hierarchy and led to a reexamination of marriage and family, calling for a soothing mental intimacy preserved through gender equality and personality of intactness and independence.

Abstract:As a classic feminist novel, Jane Eyre ontains the element of both rebellion against conventions and the element of compromise with society. This essay points out that the mad woman in Jane Eyre is another suppressed Jane Eyre in the male-supremacy society, and that the two images of Jane Eyre and the mad woman are a manifestation of the split female consciousness of the author of the novel Charlotte Bronte herself. The essay further reveals the mental conflict in the female writer's mind as well as her dual writing tactics.

Abstract:: Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit is a semi-autobiographical novel written by British author Jeanette Winterson. The novel narrates the growth story of Jeanette, a girl who gradually finds her own identity under the religious oppression brought by her mother and the church. This thesis is an analysis of how the author Jeanette embodies feminine writing in the novel. To clarify the definition of feminine writing, this thesis mainly borrows the viewpoint of “feminine writing” put forward by Hélène Cixous, a representative of the Western feminist criticism of the French realm. From the “male writing” represented by the Bible to the contradiction between the protagonist and her mother, the author deconstructs and debunks the binary opposition of male centrism, and then creates an unrestricted feminine discourse. Eventually, the author completely breaks free of the patriarchal and religious oppression and manages to reconstruct her subjective identity. The importance of female self-consciousness is conveyed through feminine writing in the hope that readers can boldly question and resist male authority.

Abstract:The background of this study is the dilemma faced by women and the development of feminism in China in the early 20th century. This study is mainly based on the playwright Cao Yu's two early 20th century drama works Sunrise and Thunderstorm as research materials, and from the character image, language characteristics, and other aspects of specific analysis. This study uses text analysis to analyze the writer Cao Yu's concept of women, the representative characters of Chen Bailu, Fanyi, and Shiping in the materials, and the characters' dialogue language characteristics. It is concluded that the predicament of Chinese women in the early 20th century is due to the conflict between the backward ideas of male superiority and female inferiority in the feudal patriarchal society and the emerging Western ideas of equality and freedom. During this period, feminism had a budding trend, but it was not systematic and thorough. Under the long-term rule of patriarchy, women's awakening consciousness has just begun, and everything is in a difficult stage of initiation and exploration. From this, it is concluded that Chinese feminism was oppressed by many parties in the early 20th century, but it was difficult to germinate.

Abstract:Feminism not only has many manifestations in theory but also in practical life. This paper explores feminism from the perspective of literary works from both East and West. In the East, although feminism was influenced very late, it began to sprout as early as the feudal society. The feminism of this period was closed, not bold, and oppressive. Cao Xueqin's "Dream of the Red Chamber" can become an encyclopedia of Chinese feudal society. Feminism is manifested in all aspects here. When China was in a backward feudal period, Western societies such as Britain and France had already begun a vigorous bourgeois revolution. Women are already openly and boldly fighting for democracy, freedom, and liberation. British writer Charlotte Bronte, influenced by the idea of compromise and combining her own personal experience, wrote the masterpiece Jane Eyre. This paper analyzed the characters in Dream of the Red Mansion and Jane Eyre from the perspective of feminism.

Abstract:The Painted Veil, serving as one of the most famous classics of the well-known English writer, Willian Somerset Mangham, mainly aims to talk about the heroine’s awakening of self-consciousness under the society at that age. Using his own special writing style, the writer portrayed a vivid and realistic heroine---Kitty, who finally became world famous and made a significant growth in a spiritual level. In this novel, Kitty’s social and family conditions were influenced by her birthplace, marriage and specular experience. After a broken marriage and miserable love affair relationship with John, Kitty grew a lot and saw the value of life profoundly, and she longed for a freedom away from the constraint of women physically and spiritually. Under the respective of feminism, this thesis is designed to take an analysis of Kitty, the root cause of Kitty’s former position as a female, and Kitty’s hard work in the process of breaking away from the status of traditional female. This thesis includes five parts. The first part leads a generalization of the author as well as the Painted Veil. The second part is designed to generalize the development of feminism and its connotation. The third part aims to analyze the cause of Kitty’s former position, as well as the process of Kitty’s growth influenced by feminism. The fourth part explores the calling of Kitty under her cognitive growth in the influence of feminism. The fifth part is the conclusion.
