Abstract:Copper-based metal–organic frameworks with unstable Cu coordination centers are electrochemically reduced to highly dispersed Cu subnanoclusters supported on the remaining MOF structure. The synergistic effect of the Cu subnanoclusters promotes *CO–*CO coupling to generate *CH 2 CHO species, leading to an excellent electrocatalytic CO 2 −to−EtOH performance, as reported by Jin Huang et al. in their Research Article (e202409270).
