Abstract:The global proliferation of electric vehicles (EVs) has brought forth new challenges in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This paper utilizes operational data from the 5G real-time system of EV and traffic platforms (5gRTS-ET) in China, encompassing 12,597,109 cases and 32,259 EVs. By employing frequency density analysis, a dynamic charging behavior model is devised to address the limitations of static models in accommodating the diverse roles of EV users. Analysis reveals distinct charging behavior preferences among three urban EV operation modes, paving the way for an adaptive model for integrating charging points into networked operations on the platform.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The main problem this paper attempts to address is the challenges faced by the current electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the face of rapidly changing EV operation modes. Specifically, the study focuses on the following aspects: 1. **Dynamics of Charging Behavior**: With the proliferation of 5G real-time systems (5gRTS-ET), the operation modes of electric vehicles are changing rapidly. Traditional static models cannot adequately adapt to this diversity and dynamism, thus new dynamic models need to be developed to better understand and predict user charging behavior. 2. **Charging Preferences of Different User Roles**: The study reveals charging behavior preferences under different urban electric vehicle operation modes by analyzing actual operational data. These modes include private cars, ride-hailing vehicles (such as Uber and Didi), taxis, and logistics delivery vehicles. Each mode's users exhibit different preferences in terms of charging time, charging speed, and charging price. 3. **Real-time Monitoring and Adaptation**: The study proposes a dynamic charging behavior model based on frequency density analysis, aiming to enable the 5gRTS-ET platform to monitor and analyze changes in electric vehicle user operation modes in real-time. This is significant for charging stations to timely adjust business strategies, especially under the trend of private electric vehicle users switching to operational modes during non-peak hours. 4. **Optimization of Charging Infrastructure**: By identifying charging behaviors under different operation modes, the study provides scientific evidence for the layout and operation of charging points, helping to improve the utilization efficiency of charging infrastructure and user experience. In summary, this paper proposes a dynamic charging behavior model by analyzing a large amount of actual operational data to address the rapid changes in electric vehicle operation modes, thereby optimizing the planning and operation of charging infrastructure.
