Abstract:Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses penerapan pendidikan bilingual dalam mengenalkan kosakata bahasa Inggris pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Lazuardi Cordova, Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pada proses penerapan bilingual tidak dikhususkan hanya pada mata pelajaran tertentu tetapi dengan menerapkan konsep pembiasaan pada aktivitas sehari-hari anak dengan fokus pada kegiatan menyimak dan berbicara. 2) Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, konsep awal sepenuhnya diajarkan dengan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, kemudian dikenalkan istilah bahasa Inggrisnya pada kosakata-kosakata umum tertentu yang sering digunakan sehari-hari. 3) Teknik penilaian yang digunakan rating scale yang indikatornya sesuai dengan materi yang telah dipelajari, anecdotal untuk penilaian di luar indikator dan portofolio. 4) Lingkungan, fasilitas sekolah, media, motivasi anak dan orangtua dapat menjadi faktor pendukung atau penghambat penerapan pendidikan bilingual. Abstract: The aim of this article was to describe the process of implementing bilingual education in introducing English vocabulary to children aged 5-6 years at Lazuardi Cordova Kindergarten, West Jakarta. This study used qualitative methods and procedures for collecting data were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of the research showed: 1) In the process of applying bilingualism, it is not devoted to certain subject, but carried out as a habit of children's daily activities with a focus on listening and speaking activities. 2) In learning activities, the initial concepts are fully taught using Indonesian, then English terms are then introduced to certain general vocabularies that are often used daily. 3) The assessment technique used, is a rating scale whose indicators are in accordance with the material that has been studied, anecdotal for non-indicator assessments and portfolio. 4) The environment, school facilities, media, children's and parents' motivation are factors that can support or hinder for the implementation of bilingual education.
