Abstract:Spontaneous combustion of remaining coal from cracks and air leakage of the regenerated roof is one of the common types of mine fires. Accurately determining the ignition conditions of coal and delineating the spontaneous ignition area are the basis for dealing with such mine fires. This paper takes the regenerated roof of 4303(2) air intake roadway of Luwa Coal Mine as the research object, and determines the natural ignition conditions of the overlying coal: the thickness of the remaining coal is >0.86m, the average particle size is <3mm, and the air leakage intensity is <1.91m/s; COMSOL delineated the ignition area at a distance of 25-60m from the air intake, the "three belts" of coal spontaneous combustion are divided, the oxidation belt is mainly concentrated in the area 15-65m, the height of oxidation belt is 10-12m. According to the comparative analysis of CO concentration, injecting paste quick-consolidate materials is proposed to extinguish the ignition area. And injecting nano-particle foam slurry is proposed to cover the dangerous area. According to the continuously measured CO data, 5 times of injecting are carried out, and finally the CO concentration does not exceed 24ppm(×10-6), which satisfies the safety production requirements.
