Abstract:Due to the complexity of numerical models and the need for much information and data in these models, one of the important solutions is to use artificial intelligence models with a small number of required inputs and a simpler structure. In this study, using wavelet transform analysis (cross wavelet transform and wavelet transform coherence), a model was developed to extract the relationship between climatic data (i.e., temperature and precipitation) and groundwater level changes. The developed model provides the best relationship between the main effective climatic parameters and groundwater level changes in the Sahneh Plain. The results showed that the climatic variables of average temperature and precipitation are the parameters with the highest correlation coefficient with groundwater level changes in the main wells of the study area. The results of verification and validation of the numerical prediction model of groundwater level based on the climatic parameters indicate that the average error is between 3% and 10% in different areas of the plain, which indicates the high accuracy of the developed model. In areas with a lack of data and information required for numerical simulation, the proposed model used in this research can be used as a comprehensive model for assessing and predicting groundwater levels based on climatic parameters. Résumé En raison de la complexité des modèles numériques et de la nécessité de disposer de nombreuses informations et données dans ces modèles, l'une des solutions importantes consiste à utiliser des modèles d'intelligence artificielle avec un petit nombre d'entrées requises et une structure plus simple. Dans cette étude, en utilisant l'analyse de la transformée en ondelettes (transformée en ondelettes croisées et cohérence de la transformée en ondelettes), un modèle a été développé pour extraire la relation entre les données climatiques (c'est‐à‐dire la température et les précipitations) et les changements du niveau des eaux souterraines. Le modèle développé fournit la meilleure relation entre les principaux paramètres climatiques efficaces et les changements du niveau des eaux souterraines dans la plaine de Sahneh. Les résultats ont montré que les variables climatiques de la température moyenne et des précipitations sont les paramètres ayant le coefficient de corrélation le plus élevé avec les changements de niveau des eaux souterraines dans les principaux puits de la zone d'étude. Les résultats de la vérification et de la validation du modèle de prévision numérique du niveau des eaux souterraines basé sur les paramètres climatiques indiquent que l'erreur moyenne est comprise entre 3% et 10% dans différentes zones de la plaine, ce qui indique la grande précision du modèle développé. Dans les zones où il y a un manque de données et d'informations nécessaires à la simulation numérique, le modèle proposé utilisé dans cette recherche peut être utilisé comme un modèle complet pour évaluer et prévoir le niveau des eaux souterraines en fonction des paramètres climatiques.
