Abstract:With ongoing exploration and advancement in low-altitude flight schemes, the integration of manned and unmanned aerial vehicle operations within the same low-altitude airspace has increased, enhancing airspace utilization efficiency. However, this amalgamation introduces new challenges, primarily from the inadequate consideration of operation intervals in traditional air traffic management. Traditionally, overly conservative fixed safety margins have been employed for various types of aircraft which, while ensuring safety, fail to accommodate the specific dynamics of low-altitude operations, leading to inefficiencies. The current approach involves developing a multiclassified aircraft protection zone model, coupled with a tailored flight conflict sensing algorithm for the hybrid mode of operation. Initially, the aircraft's ellipsoid-shaped protected zone model is developed based on flight parameters. The model is then refined by incorporating the characteristics of different aircraft types, both manned and unmanned while considering fluid dynamics interactions. Finally, a multiclass dynamic protected zone model is proposed, tailored to meet the requirements of integrated manned and unmanned operations. Additionally, the paper introduces a conflict sensing algorithm that adapts obstacle avoidance strategies based on aircraft heading or speed, significantly enhancing conflict detection and resolution. Compared to traditional methods, the proposed model shows significant improvements. On one hand, the proposed model achieves a 31.01% reduction in the size of protected zones and a 51.7% decrease in the interval between fused flights. On the other hand, it reduces the overall complexity of the sector network by 43.61%, as demonstrated by the experimental results. The introduction of an evaluation index system based on the flight state network further validates the model's efficacy. Therefore, the novel multiclassified dynamic protected zone model and flight conflict sensing algorithm not only accurately define the necessary airspace for both manned and unmanned aircraft but also optimize the strategies for detecting and resolving flight conflicts, marking a significant advancement in the management of low-altitude airspace operations.
