Research on the Design of Guidance Service for the Elderly under Intelligent Medical Environment

Abstract:Objective Based on the theory and methods of service design, we explore the design of guidance services for the elderly and provide a more inclusive and easy-to-use medical experience for the elderly. Methods The background of hospital orientation service and its current research status at home and abroad were sorted out through literature. Using the observation method and in-depth interview, the current situation of hospital orientation service and elderly people's medical problems were investigated and analyzed, the users' needs for orientation service were determined, the user pain points and design opportunity points were studied in depth based on service design methods such as user journey map, stakeholder map and service blueprint, and design solutions were proposed. Conclusion This paper proposes a hospital guidance service system for the elderly. The system consists of six modules: an appointment registration module, a real-time navigation module, a convenient payment module, an emergency call module, a health monitoring module, and a personalized assessment module, with the smart bracelet as an auxiliary device, which provides new thinking for improving elderly patients' consultation experience and optimizing hospital service design.
