Abstract:We have enthusiastically reviewed the outstanding work presented by Dr. Chen and colleagues [1]. Our group has shared the same hypothesis and concurs with the manuscript's insights regarding two prognostic tools for preeclampsia development. However, we believe there are key points to emphasize: In the model utilized by the authors for constructing ROC curves and calculating the area under the curve (AUC), ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) was assessed as continuous variables for both systolic and diastolic measurements. Nevertheless, nocturnal blood pressure demonstrated the strongest association with preeclampsia development. Therefore, incorporating the relationship between nocturnal hypertension and preeclampsia development in the authors' analysis would strengthen their work, favoring regression modeling for a more parsimonious model [2].
