Abstract:A flexible rectenna has been designed for harvesting radio-frequency (RF) energy from a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router. The rectenna consists of a textile-based patch antenna and a flexible rectifier. The patch antenna is designed to resonate at the 2.4 GHz ISM band, enabling the capture of RF energy and its conversion into AC signals. A 4-stage Dickson rectifier circuit converts these AC signals into DC signals to power electronic components. The rectenna demonstrates the capability to harvest power from the Wi-Fi router at a distance of 1.25 m. Experimental results show that the rectenna can achieve a maximum power output of 1423.70 nW and a maximum voltage of 0.62 V under an optimal load of 270 kΩ.
