Abstract:International medical students speaking rare languages are characterized by insurmountable language barrier,difficulty in learning,weakness in basic theory,difficulty in teaching administration,and lack of working specification in clinical manipulation.Reform of clinical teaching was based on these characteristics.During our teaching process,clear teaching principles were made,teaching methods were improved,and teaching materials of various media were carefully chosen and compiled.We have achieved good teaching results,and all the international students speaking rare languages felt satisfied with our teaching.

Abstract:Oversea students with rare languages are characterized by severe language barrier,difficulty in study,difficulty in administration,weakness of basic medicine teaching,and lack of standardized clinical manipulation.Based on these characters,reform of clinical teaching was undertaken during the teaching process.Definite teaching principles were made,teaching methods were innovated,and teaching materials of various media were carefully chosen according to the teaching situation,and were renewed continuously.Good teaching effect was achieved,and all the oversea students with rare languages were satisfied with our teaching.

Abstract:Objective To improve the teaching effects of medical image processing.Methods Teaching content was reformed considering the problems encountered during clinical practice and research. Modern teaching methods such as problem-based learning and flipped classroom were adopted. In addition, professors from world famous Universities were invited to teach lessons.A website was also built for this course.Moreover,the students were encouraged to participate in after-class research.Finally,a new practice-based teaching mode with characteristic content and modern methods was developed.By adopting information technology,all-round students could be gifted with international vision.Results The students'interest was stimulated and their problem solving skills were improved.Conclusion The teaching effects of medical image processing can be largely improved by research,so that the students can not only master the course content well but also develop skills to solve practical problems.

Abstract:Among medical colleges and universities in China, the Medical School of Xi'an Jiaotong University takes the lead in English-exclusive medical education for international students. Based on our ten years' teaching experience, it is put forward that international students' purpose of study in China, knowledge background, language habit, and learning trait should be taken into consideration in teaching reform. Teaching method should be further improved, student-centered teaching strategy and method should be adopted, the Internet resources and original teaching material should be used. In order to expand enrollment of international students and improve service of Chinese higher education, it is advisable to develop innovative ability, problem-solving ability and lifelong learning ability of international medical students.

Abstract:Objective To probe how to ensure and improve the teaching quality of full-English-teaching in Medical Imagology for international MBBS students.Methods 144 MBBS international students and 13 full-English-teaching teachers in Kunming Medical University (KMU) were enrolled.Nationality of international students,development of teaching staff and teaching mode were studied by analysis of basic data and questionnaire.Results MBBS students of KMU are mainly from South Asia countries where students' pronunciation is different to England and America;the full-English-teaching staff of Medical Imagology are excellent teachers with good English and professional knowledge,but professional communicative ability in English is still needed to be improved;most students regarded inspiring-teaching-method as a useful way to enhance interesting and efficiency and teachers were sure that this method could improve teachers' comprehensive ability.Conclusion Inspiring-teaching-method is worth of further developing and extending because it is useful in promoting the communication between teachers and international students,in developing the teachers' professional communicative competence in English,and in improving students' learning interesting and efficiency.

Abstract:Through the analysis of medical overseas students,this paper indicated that different school education before entering a university,different knowledge level and the comprehensive ability lead to the various countries and regions of the students moral basis,between knowledge and behavior ability gap.According to these problems,combining medical overseas students' practical teaching,this paper put forward medical ethics education ideas for medical overseas students: changing the view of teaching,optimizing of course setting,organizing of teaching material selection,teaching language,teaching methods,optimizing the combination of campus culture.Through the good medical ethics education for medical overseas students,make them become qualified medical talents.

Abstract:The new medicine is an important education strategy put forward by the Ministry of Education of China to cultivate outstanding medical talents and scientists. Trans-disciplinary integration and mutual penetration are important connotation to realize the construction of the specialty. This paper takes the combination of medical and engineering as an example to explore trans-disciplinary teachings, and suggests two teaching methods of the trans-disciplinary cross knowledge based on clinical problems and the clinical optimal solution analysis based on the knowledge from different disciplines. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 150 junior and senior students majoring in clinical medicine at Zhejiang University who joined the course of the clinical application of medical instruments. The results showed that 95.3% (143/150) students thought that this course could better help them learn relevant clinical medicine courses, 93.3% (140/150) students thought that this course was highly analytical, and 88.7% (133/150) students thought that this course could develop solutions to problems. The conclusion is that adding trans-disciplinary education can better promotes the study of other medical knowledge.

Abstract:In order to find the best way to reform medical English teaching,the authors carried out a questionnaire investigation in 714 clinical medicine-major undergraduates on their needs of medical English learning.The needs analysis shows that these clinical medicine college students have a clear purpose for medical English learning but are weakly motivated for medical English learning; they have a stronger need to improve their reading,listening,speaking,and writing ability in medical English but a weaker one for translation.They have also shown preferences for different aspects in the teaching set-up of the medical English course.

Abstract:Medical students need to be encouraged to understand the importance of foreign language skills.At the moment,some students are not motivated to read medical journals or medical websites in other languages than Chinese.This reflects a poor understanding of evidence-based medicine,the international medical community,and the concept of life-long learning.We invited two English-speaking teachers to give lectures and attend teaching seminars with medical students.The experiment was not without problems: students complained about difficulities understanding,but were hesitant to interrupt the teachers with questions.Students need more experience with written and oral English,e.g. reading English-language textbooks and routinely doing Medline searches,and discussing medical topics in English.Introducing foreign teachers to medical students may provide this experience.
