Abstract:Loan prediction is a significant problem in the banking industry. Using Technology, will change and make some improvements in Loan prediction by bank employees manually. By using "Machine learning "in loan prediction. The machine learning system will check the data for a loan of the applicant and the data will be checked so fast and without any human error. So, it will help to improve technology in Bank sectors. By this, processing the data will be checked quickly, making the data output in less time. It helps both the applicant and the bank employees.Machine learning algorithms can be used to analyze historical data and make accurate predictions about whether a loan application will be approved or not. In this study, we propose a machine learning-based loan prediction model that utilizes various features such as credit score, income, loan amount, and loan term. We explore different classification algorithms, including logistic regression, decision tree, and random forest, to build the loan prediction model. Our experimental results show that the random forest algorithm outperforms other models with an accuracy rate of 83.45%. The proposed model can help banks and financial institutions streamline their loan approval process, reduce manual effort, and minimize the risk of bad loans.

Abstract:Banks are important for the development of economies in any financial ecosystem through consumer and business loans. Lending, however, presents risks; thus, banks have to determine the applicant's financial position to reduce the probabilities of default. A number of banks have currently, therefore, adopted data analytics and state-of-the-art technology to arrive at better decisions in the process. The probability of payback is prescribed by a predictive modeling technique in which machine learning algorithms are applied. In this research project, we will apply several machine learning methods to further improve the accuracy and efficiency of loan approval processes. Our work focuses on the prediction of bank loan approval; we have worked on a dataset of 148,670 instances and 37 attributes using machine learning methods. The target property segregates the loan applications into "Approved" and "Denied" groups. various machine learning techniques have been used, namely, Decision Tree Categorization, AdaBoosting, Random Forest Classifier, SVM, and GaussianNB. Following that, the models were trained and evaluated. Among these, the best-performing algorithm was AdaBoosting, which achieved an incredible accuracy of 99.99%. The results therefore show how ensemble learning works effectively to improve the prediction skills of loan approval decisions. The presented work points to the possibility of achieving extremely accurate and efficient loan prediction models that provide useful insights for applying machine learning to financial domains.

Abstract:Depression affects millions worldwide, emphasizing the need for early detection. Leveraging machine learning, our research introduces a novel deep learning model merging text and social media data for depression prediction. Comparative analysis with state-of-the-art methods demonstrates promising results. As heightened social media use correlates with increased depression rates, our study targets probable depressed Twitter users through machine learning. By analyzing both network behavior and tweets, we develop classifiers utilizing diverse features extracted from user activities, revealing that incorporating more features enhances accuracy and F-measure scores in identifying depressed users. Our data-driven approach offers a predictive tool for early depression detection and other mental illnesses. This paper contributes insights into depression detection using machine learning and proposes innovative strategies for improved diagnosis and treatment

Abstract:The majority of strokes are brought on by unforeseen obstruction of pathways by the heart and brain. Distinct classifiers have been developed for early detection of different stroke warning symptoms, including Logistics Regression, Decision Tree, KNN, Random Forest, and Naïve Bayes. Furthermore, the proposed research has obtained an accuracy of around 95.4%, with the Random Forest outperforming the other classifiers. This model has the highest stroke prediction accuracy. Therefore, Random Forest is almost the perfect classifier for foretelling stroke, which doctors and patients can utilise to prescribe and identify likely strokes early. Here in our research we have created a website to which model is dumped/loaded, such that the interface will be friendly to the end-users.

Abstract:In peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, borrowers would access loans with lower interest rates than what they usually got from traditional lenders. People can directly borrow from the P2P platform with the rules that make them easy to borrow loans and invest free funds into P2P, which can benefit both borrowers and lenders. However, the easy way to borrow loans comes with risks. One of the major issues is that borrowers may default on the loan taken. In such cases, they can get loans quickly from P2P online platforms without any bank interferences. Thus, the lender can calculate his risk for loan default. In this project, we consider the P2P lending data to predict the loan default reassuring the lender to continue providing loans in the future. In our analysis, we consider the Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, Random Forest, K Nearest Neighbour, and Decision tree to classify loan data based on their likelihood of default. The simulation result in our algorithm provides a significant accuracy of 94.6%.

Abstract:Loan businessis one ofthe major income sources for bank. Loan default problem is a major issue for loan business. Loans, specifically whether borrowers repay the loan or default on it, have a significant impact on a bank's profitability. By anticipating loan defaulters, the bank is able to reduce its non-performing assets. Three primary predictive analytics techniques—I Data Collection, II Data Cleaning, and III Performance Assessment—are used to research the prediction of loan defaulters. Experimental investigations reveal that when it comes to loan forecasting, the KNN model performs better than the Decision tree model. Abstract:Since the 1990s, there have been significant advances in the technology space and the e-Commerce area, leading to an exponential increase in demand for cashless payment solutions. This has led to increased demand for credit cards, bringing along with it the possibility of higher credit defaults and hence higher delinquency rates, over a period of time. The purpose of this research paper is to build a contemporary credit scoring model to forecast credit defaults for unsecured lending (credit cards), by employing machine learning techniques. As much of the customer payments data available to lenders, for forecasting Credit defaults, is imbalanced (skewed), on account of a limited subset of default instances, this poses a challenge for predictive modelling. In this research, this challenge is addressed by deploying Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE), a proven technique to iron out such imbalances, from a given dataset. On running the research dataset through seven different machine learning models, the results indicate that the Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LGBM) Classifier model outperforms the other six classification techniques. Thus, our research indicates that the LGBM classifier model is better equipped to deliver higher learning speeds, better efficiencies and manage larger data volumes. We expect that deployment of this model will enable better and timely prediction of credit defaults for decision-makers in commercial lending institutions and banks.

We employ lasso regression as our model because to its flexible and probabilistic model selection process We construct a housing cost prediction model in the considering such machine learning algorithm models as XG Boost, lasso regression, and neural systems on look at their order precision execution. Abstract:A stock (also known as equity) is a security that represents the ownership of a fraction of a corporation. This entitles the owner of the stock to a proportion of the corporation's assets and profits equal to how much stock they own. Units of stock are called "shares." In today's finance world stock trading is one of the most significant exercises. Stock market prediction is a demonstration of attempting to decide the future estimation of the stock price and other monetary characteristics related to stock trading. This paper clarifies the forecast of a stock making use of Machine Learning. The technical and central or the time series analysis is utilized by the a large portion of the stockbrokers while making the stock forecasts. Primarily, only numerical data was being used for stock prediction. A much better and accurate way is to use of fundamental analysis i.e. to factor in the real economy into the predictions. Using news articles to predict the stock movement on a daily basis is much more reliable. Naive Bayes, Random Forests, Perceptrons and Linear Support Vector Machines are the Machine Learning methods which have been used for prediction. Linear support vector machines are highly regarded as one of the better text classification machine learning techniques.

Abstract:Peer-to-peer lending, a novel element of Internet finance that links lenders and borrowers via online platforms, has generated large profits for investors. However, borrowers’ missed payments have negatively impacted the industry’s sustainable growth. It is imperative to create a system that can correctly predict loan defaults to lessen the damage brought on by defaulters. The goal of this study is to fill the gap in the literature by exploring the feasibility of developing prediction models for P2P loan defaults without relying heavily on personal data while also focusing on identifying key variables influencing borrowers’ repayment capacity through systematic feature selection and exploratory data analysis. Given this, this study aims to create a computational model that aids lenders in determining the approval or rejection of a loan application, relying on the financial data provided by applicants. The selected dataset, sourced from an open database, contains 8578 transaction records and includes 14 attributes related to financial information, with no personal data included. A loan dataset is first subjected to an in-depth exploratory data analysis to find behaviors connected to loan defaults. Subsequently, diverse and noteworthy machine learning classification algorithms, including Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, Naïve Bayes, and XGBoost, were employed to build models capable of discerning borrowers who repay their loans from those who do not. Our findings indicate that borrowers who fail to comply with their lenders’ credit policies, pay elevated interest rates, and possess low FICO ratings are at a higher likelihood of defaulting. Furthermore, elevated risk is observed among clients who obtain loans for small businesses. All classification models, including XGBoost and Random Forest, successfully developed and performed satisfactorily and achieved an accuracy of over 80%. When the decision threshold is set to 0.4, the best performance for predicting loan defaulters is achieved using logistic regression, which accurately identifies 83% of the defaulted loans, with a recall of 83%, precision of 21% and f1 score of 33%.

Despite the Efficient - market hypothesis Principle claim that it is difficult to anticipate share prices with any degree of precision, research has demonstrated that share price movements could be anticipated with the proper levels of precision provided the correct parameters are chosen and the proper predictive models are created. individuals who are adaptable. The share market is unpredictable in essence, making its forecasting a difficult undertaking. Stock prices are affected by more than economic reasons. In this project, Arima, LSTM and Prophet models are used to predict the future way of behaving share price, the datasets has been obtained from NSE, share price prediction algorithms have been created and tested. According to the empirical findings, the LSTM model would be used to anticipate share prices rather well over a substantial amount of time with exactness.

Abstract:This study aimed to predict the likelihood of small and medium-sized (SMEs) defaulting in loan repayment by developing a model using artificial intelligence technology, namely Machine Learning algorithms. The research employed the Louvain clustering algorithm to effectively group the loan recipients based on their cumulative repayment amounts over time, and two distinct machine learning techniques, namely logistic regression (LR) and k-nearest neighbour (k-NN) were harnessed to evaluate their efficacy in classifying recipients' risk levels, namely low-risk or high-risk. The LR model achieved mean accuracy score of 100% which indicates a high level of precision that can effectively predict the risk of SME loan repayment. This is further supported by the Area Under the Curve (AUC) value of 1.0 obtained by the LR model which suggests that the model has achieved optimal separation of the two classes, and therefore it is highly reliable for risk prediction. This technique is believed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of credit risk assessment that could enable financial institutions (FIs) to optimize their decision-making processes and mitigate potential losses caused by the defaulting loans. Hence, this study is significant as it proves the effectiveness of machine learning technique in predicting loan repayment risk in FIs in Malaysia.

Indian stock market has two exchanges, and the oldest stock exchange is the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). In terms of volume, The National Stock Exchange is the largest stock exchange. Exchanges are the actual prices where stocks are bought and sold. Whereas an index is a grouping of company stocks that measures changes in the broader stock market or a sector of the stock market. Two Indian market indexes are Sensex and Nifty. Earlier prediction of the stock market was usually forecasted by the financial professionals. Nowadays, with the advancement of data analytics and machine learning techniques computer professionals also embraced prediction. Machine learning and data analytics are some of the most existing recent technologies. This study aims to predict the five sectors like pharmaceuticals, banking, fast‐moving consumer goods, power, and automobile sectors. From the five sectors selected, the following companies are selected: pharmaceutical sector: Cipla and Torrent Pharma; banking sector: ICICI bank and SBI; FMCG sector: ITC and Hindustan Unilever; power sector: Adani Power Ltd. and Power Grid Ltd; and automobile Sector: Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki Ltd. The above company's stock prices are predicted by the machine learning technique, i.e., linear regression, and by deep learning technique, i.e., long short‐term memory (LSTM), which are used. Using the above techniques, stock prices are predicted more accurately, therefore, help the investors to gain more profits.

Abstract:India's most popular sport is cricket and is played across all over the nation in different formats like T20, ODI, and Test. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a national cricket match where players are drawn from regional teams of India, National Team and also from international team. Many factors like live streaming, radio, TV broadcast made this league as popular among cricket fans. The prediction of the outcome of the IPL matches is very important for online traders and sponsors. We can predict the match between two teams based on various factors like team composition, batting and bowling averages of each player in the team, and the team's success in their previous matches, in addition to traditional factors such as toss, venue, and day-night, the probability of winning by batting first at a specified match venue against a specific team. In this paper, we have proposed a model for predicting outcome of the IPL matches using Machine learning Algorithms namely SVM, Random Forest Classifier (RFC), Logistic Regression and K-Nearest Neighbor. Experimental results showed that the Random Forest algorithm outperforms other algorithms with an accuracy of 88.10%.

Abstract:Machine learning is the most well-known field nowadays for predicting future output and making better decisions based on these predictions. Cricket is a popular sport that is watched and played in over 100 nations across the world. Many of these cricket fans are rooting for their side to succeed and win the match. Teams must focus on their performance and areas of strength in order to ensure that their teams win. Similarly, predicting the winner of a cricket match is dependent on a number of criteria such as the toss, team strengths, venue and weather conditions, and so on. The purpose of this research study is to perform exploratory data analysis on a cricket dataset and to predict the winner of the IPL match. Machine learning models trained on the given features are used to predict the winner of an IPL match. Varied machine learning techniques, like Random Forest, SVM, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, and Decision Trees, have been utilized and deployed on test and training datasets of various sizes for the goal of model construction. For legal betting applications, match reporting media, and cricket fans, this concept is quite valuable. Exploratory data analysis on cricket dataset will be beneficial for cricket team management or analytics team to assess the team’s strength.

Abstract:—Loan default prediction helps institutions predict whether a borrower will default on a loan and decide whether to lend, thereby reducing losses. We investigate the performance of different machine learning models in predicting customers' loan defaults. Four machine learning models: Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest and XGBoost, are used to predict the loan default, considering dependent variables such as the value of all the assets, living status and yearly income. Our results show that XGBoost is the best model with the highest Recall of 0.35 and AUC of 0.832. This study is expected to help lending institutions identify potential default users, and then decide on who to accept or refuse for a loan.

Abstract:Loan default prediction is critical for financial risk management, enabling institutions to make informed lending decisions and mitigate potential losses. This study aims to improve the accuracy of loan default prediction using advanced machine learning techniques. Our research objectives include developing a robust prediction model through comprehensive data analysis, feature engineering, and model tuning. Methodologically, we use iterative interpolators to handle missing values, KBinsDiscretizer for feature binning, and neural networks optimized using Bayesian methods and genetic algorithms. The results show that the optimized model can produce more accurate prediction results.

Abstract:Banks are the backbone of the global financial structure, and one of the keyways these organizations generate income is loan interest. If customers default on these loans, it can turn a gain into a significant loss for the bank, making it crucial to determine the risk of default before granting a loan. Machine learning algorithms can be a great tool for quickly and accurately determining if a loan should be granted. In this study, six machine learning models, namely Decision Tree, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Multi-layer Perceptron (MLP) Artificial Neural Network, Naive Bayes, and a stacking ensemble model were trained to make predictions of the risk level associated with a loan using a dataset containing twenty factors commonly included in a loan application. Among these models, the stacking ensemble model produced the best results with an accuracy of 78.75%, but the Random Tree model was more efficient and produced similar results with an accuracy of 78.15%. We observed that factors like credit amount, checking status, age of the customer, duration of the loan, and purpose of the loan were the most significant predictors of credit risk. The outcome of this study provides further evidence that machine learning models can be valuable tools in the loan approval process.

Abstract:Abstract: It is essential for banks to evaluate and predict the repayment ability of the loaners in order to minimise the risk of loan payment default. Due to this, there are systems created by the banks to process the loan request based on the loaners’ status, such as employment status, credit history, etc. This paper attempts to determine the most significant factors/features which help in predicting whether a loan applicant would be able to repay their loan. Feature selection provides an effective way to solve this problem by removing irrelevant and redundant data, which can reduce computation time, improve learning accuracy, and facilitate a better understanding of the learning model or data. In order to properly assess the repayment ability of all groups of people, several frequently-used evaluation measures for feature selection are applied, and different sets of features using different feature selection methods are generated. Afterwards, those sets are tested against different machine learning models, to figure out the most effective feature set that should be analysed in order to figure out the repayment ability of an applicant. The data used in this study was gathered from a Kaggle Dataset which contained the details of over 300,000+ loaners and whether they were able to repay their loans or not. After data cleaning and feature engineering, the dataset still appeared quite imbalanced , so, along with accuracy, other measures such as precision, recall, and F1 Score were also considered. Results of the study indicate that, days employed, number of family members , number of children , income of the person were some of the most significant factors for determining a borrower’s performance.
Loan Default Prediction in Microfinance Group Lending with Machine Learning

Abstract:Microfinance fintech enables the unbanked and underbanked communities to access credit by offering small, no collateral loans. Microfinance institutions (MFI) usually use credit scoring to filter out risky borrowers. Credit scoring method for individual loans has been widely studied. However, none are for group lending where members are women micro-entrepreneurs in a developing country, and jointly responsible for loan repayment. This research try to build a credit default prediction model for microfinance group lending using machine learning techniques. We examine six different machine learning methods, including XGBoost, logistic regression, linear discriminant analysis (LDA), decision trees, k-nearest neighbour (KNN) and random forest. The XGBoost model performs the best during the first modeling phase. With an accuracy of 0.97 and an AUC score of 0.85, it performs better than other models. Decision tree and random forest give comparable outcomes, with AUCs of 0.81 and 0.80 and accuracies of 0.81, 0.95, and 0.97. In an effort to increase performance, class balancing is performed. The XGBoost model's performance was successfully enhanced, resulting in an increase in AUC from 0.85 to 0.89. Its accuracy stays the same as 0.97. False positive and false negative rates for this model are both low (2.05% and 1.38%, respectively). Consequently, the model has been effectively developed and is capable of differentiating between bad and good loans.
