Abstract:The “three education” reform was explicitly proposed in the National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan in January 2019, that is, the reform of teachers, teaching materials and teaching methods, which runs through the whole process of talent training, directly related to the fundamental issue of “who, how and for whom to train people”, and is the top priority of the development of higher vocational education in the new era. The biggest difference between higher vocational colleges and undergraduate colleges is to cultivate high-end skilled talents. The cultivation of skilled talents cannot be separated from practical teaching. Taking the automobile inspection and maintenance specialty in higher vocational colleges as an example, this paper analyzes the role and importance of each practical teaching link in cultivating students’ skills and other qualities.

Abstract:"Soil Mechanics" is a degree course in Zhejiang University City College of Civil Engineering. The teaching group of this course has thought and practiced the reforms in teacher-student interaction, attendance innovation, materials selection, layout of the homework and the form of practice teaching. Simplifying the derivation of calculation formulas and strengthening the experiment and practice which can develop the students' manipulative ability and innovative spirit. Interacting with students which can make them learn more about the teacher and this course. At the same time, teachers can understand better about the students' thinking, then adapt and improve each other. The reform of teaching material selection and arrangement of work which make students have more examples to refer. The free choice in after-school subject which allow students to sum up the knowledge points and that would enable the consolidation of classroom teaching. At the same time, by consulting reference books, students will find the knowledge points which the teacher did not emphasized.

Computer Applications in Engineering Education

Abstract:To adapt to the new direction of engineering education reform in China under the background of new engineering, and to promote the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing professionals, a virtual simulation practice teaching system based on Internet technology is constructed. Relying on "online + offline" resources, experimental modules are designed, a course resource library is built, a digital cloud platform is developed, and a "One Body, Two Wings" virtual simulation teaching and training system is established. Practice has shown that the virtual simulation system has the advantages of immersion, interaction, imagination, and reality, which can meet the basic needs of users and provide a safe and immersive experimental operation experience. The comparative data on practical effectiveness shows that virtual simulation teaching has significantly improved students' theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and innovative ability, making graduates highly desirable by enterprises. The virtual simulation system not only enhances user experience, but also improves students' learning effect, professional cognitive ability, and professional practice ability. The system provides strong technical support for the cultivation of intelligent manufacturing professionals, and is an efficient and practical tool in the field of teaching and training, with broad application prospects.

Abstract:Nearly in domestic universities,there was a lack of system and depth during practice courses in manufacturing specialty.In this paper we developed a practice course which was about the whole process of manufacturing on a model of the automotive engine piston system.The practice course involved design,machining,measuring,assembly and testing.For different request,we should consider the complex impact of process,accuracy,cost and efficiency in manufacturing.Moreover,we used advanced manufacturing technologies and equipments,such as precision machining,electro discharge machining (EDM),3D printing etc.During the practice course students discussed in details and solved unexpected problems,then they could implement mechanical motions of the model at last,and we also got a good evaluation of students.This practice turned doing into learning.

Abstract:The further reform and development of engineering education courses can help improve the teaching quality of higher education institutions, implement the fundamental task of talent cultivation, and provide important support and channels for cultivating high‐quality and supportive engineering technical talents. The traffic system simulation course is an applied science closely related to engineering technology. It mainly cultivates senior engineering technical talents engaged in research and development of transportation engineering, analysis of road traffic characteristics, and transportation planning and design. Considering the characteristics of the traffic system simulation course, this study puts forward the course teaching design based on computer virtual reality software. Combined with the training objectives of applied talents in the traffic system simulation course, this study focuses on how to reform the teaching content and teaching mode with the help of Vissim computer simulation software. The course teaching design refines and optimizes the teaching content by the use of computer software. The use of Vissim software in the course enriches the teaching content and methods and stimulates students' interest in learning. Through the guidance of active exploration and self‐directed learning for students, the traffic system simulation course reform has created a more positive and effective learning environment for students, which helps to cultivate their exploratory spirit and innovative ability. The implementation of the course teaching reform has gradually improved students' learning initiative and ability to master course content, as well as their practical problem‐solving abilities. Good teaching results have been achieved.

Abstract:Objective To explore the teaching effects of the course of Health Assessment by integrating theory with practice. Methods By using convenient sampling method,two classes of students enrolled in the year of 2010 were selected from a vocational nursing school.Class 17 of 52 students were treated as the reform class and subjected to teaching method which integrated theory with practice: course and work situations were designed;teaching contents were integrated;teaching activities and methods were standar-dized;appropriate teachers were selected;and teaching equipments were prepared.The control class(class 11 of 51 students) received traditional teaching of the course of Health Assessment. Results The test achievement of operational skills showed significant difference between the two classes(P<0.01);students in the reform class appraised highly the new teaching method. Conclusion The teaching integrating theory with practice can well arouse students′ learning enthusiasm,improve operational ability of vocational nursing students.
