Abstract:Nonlinear wave equations are central to the study of nonlinear optics and fluid dynamics. Notably, recent research has shown that solitons can be generated in mode-locked lasers. An interesting application of these lasers is the development of optical clocks which have the potential to be considerably more accurate than atomic clocks. Another important area of research in nonlinear optics is lattice dynamics where localized solitary wave or solitons can be obtained in periodic and irregular lattice systems. In honeycomb lattices, discrete and continuous nonlinear Dirac systems can be derived in certain parameter regimes; the Dirac systems describe conical diffraction, a phenomena observed in recent experiments. In water and internal waves the classical equations are reformulated as a system of coupled equations where the free surface equations are formulated as nonlocal equation and the depth variable is eliminated. These systems reduce to interesting asymptotic equations in suitable limits. A numerical method, termed spectral renormalization, is used to find solitary waves in nonlinear optics, water waves and multi-fluid systems.

Abstract:<p>The (2+1)-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili type equations describe the nonlinear phenomena and characteristics in oceanography, fluid dynamics and shallow water. In the literature, a novel (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear model is proposed, and the localized wave interaction solutions are studied including lump-kink and lump-soliton types. Hereby, it is of further value to investigate the integrability characteristics of this model. In this paper, we firstly conduct the Painlevé analysis and find it fails to pass the Painlevé test due to a non-vanishing compatibility condition at the highest resonance level. Then we derive the soliton solutions and give the formula of the <span class="math"><math>N</math></span>-soliton solution, which is proved by means of the Hirota condition. The criterion for the linear superposition principle is also given to generate the resonant solutions. Bäcklund transformation, Lax pair and infinitely many conservation laws are derived through the Hirota bilinear method and Bell polynomial approach. As a result, we have a more overall understanding of the integrability characteristics of this novel (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear model.</p>

Abstract:Modern Physics Letters B, Ahead of Print. This paper explores the oceanic wave characteristics exhibited by a modified integrable generalized [math]-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger system of equations through variable coefficients. Two newly modified methods, specifically the improved nonlinear Ricatti equation method and the improved sub-equation method, have been proposed to investigate the aforementioned nonlinear system. Through the utilization of these methods, we successfully obtain traveling and solitary waves solutions for this nonlinear system. We emphasize several constraint conditions that serve to guarantee the existence of these solutions. More comprehensive information about the physical dynamical representation of some of the solutions presented is illustrated through graphical depictions. The Mathematica software package is employed to produce both three-dimensional and their corresponding contour plots, thereby improving the visualization and comprehension of the solutions. This paper illustrates that the two proposed approaches provide straightforward and efficient means of acquiring various types of soliton, rational, trigonometric, hyperbolic and exponential solutions. Moreover, they present a more potent mathematical tool for addressing a variety of other nonlinear partial differential equations that hold significance in the field of applied science and engineering.

Abstract:In this research, we apply some new mathematical methods to the study of solving couple-breaking soliton equations in two dimensions. Soliton solutions for equations with free parameters like the wave number, phase component, nonlinear coefficient and dispersion coefficient can be obtained analytically by adding trigonometric, rational and hyperbolic functions. We will also look into how two-dimensional diagrams are affected by the wave phenomena, illustrating the answers with a mix of two- and three-dimensional graphs. The proposed system will be transformed into a numerical system by using the finite difference method to simulate Black-Scholes equations numerically. Furthermore, we will evaluate the stability and accuracy of the numerical findings by making analytical and graphical comparisons with precise solutions and we will talk about the error analysis of the numerical scheme. All forms of nonlinear evolutionary systems can benefit from the methods utilized in this work because they are sufficient and acceptable.

Abstract:We study solitary wave solutions for a nonlinear and non-autonomous Boussinesq system with initial conditions. Since the variable coefficients introduce distortions and modulations of the solution amplitudes, we implement a multiple-scale approach combining various modes in order to capture the coupling between the nonlinear evolution and the effect of the variable coefficient. The differential system is mapped into a solvable system of nonlinear and non-autonomous ODE which is integrable by recursion procedures. We show that even in the limiting autonomous case, the multiple-scale approach gives a new possibly integrable dispersionless coupled envelope system, which deserves further study. Abstract:Strongly nonlinear models of internal wave propagation for incompressible stratified Euler fluids are investigated numerically and analytically to determine the evolution of a class of initial conditions of interest in laboratory experiments. This class of step-like initial data severely tests the robustness of the models beyond their strict long-wave asymptotic validity, and model fidelity is assessed by direct numerical simulations (DNS) of the parent Euler system. It is found that the primary dynamics of near-solitary wave formation is remarkably well predicted by the models for both wave and fluid properties, at a fraction of the computational costs of the DNS code.

Abstract:This volume introduces and reviews novel theoretical approaches to modeling strongly nonlinear behaviour of either individual or interacting structural mechanical units such as beams, plates and shells or composite systems thereof. The approach draws upon the well-established fields of bifurcation theory and chaos and emphasizes the notion of control and stability of objects and systems the evolution of which is governed by nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations. Computational methods, in particular the Bubnov-Galerkin method, are thus described in detail.

Abstract:The Zabolotskaya-Khokhlov model (ZKm) is a widely used nonlinear model in the fields of sound, ultrasound, and shock waves. The aims of this paper stems from its examination and rectification of earlier results concerning the -soliton solutions of nonlinear dissipative (2+1)-dimensional ZKm. By recognizing and incorporating the non-zero values of the dispersion coefficient , this study addresses a significant omission in current research. The findings enhance the comprehension of higher-order soliton behaviors, encompassing bifurcation solitons, higher-order breathers, rogue waves, periodic lumps, and their interactions, which are crucial for both theoretical studies and practical applications in areas like nonlinear optics and fluid dynamics. Subsequent detailed numerical simulations are conducted to elucidate the complex behaviors of the obtained solutions. This thorough exploration provides crucial insights into the intricate patterns exhibited by the nonlinear dissipative (2+1)-dimensional ZKm under different conditions, enhancing our understanding of the underlying physical phenomena.

Abstract:We derive several kinetic equations to model the large scale, low Fresnel number behavior of the nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equation with a rapidly fluctuating random potential. There are three types of kinetic equations the longitudinal, the transverse and the longitudinal with friction. For these nonlinear kinetic equations we address two problems: the rate of dispersion and the singularity formation. For the problem of dispersion, we show that the kinetic equations of the longitudinal type produce the cubic-in-time law, that the transverse type produce the quadratic-in-time law and that the one with friction produces the linear-in-time law for the variance prior to any singularity. For the problem of singularity, we show that the singularity and blow-up conditions in the transverse case remain the same as those for the homogeneous NLS equation with critical or supercritical self-focusing nonlinearity, but they have changed in the longitudinal case and in the frictional case due to the evolution of the Hamiltonian.

Abstract:Journal of Nonlinear Optical Physics &Materials, Ahead of Print. The breather, rogue and interaction waves of the (3+1)-dimensional integrable fourth-order nonlinear equation are reviewed. The breather and rouge waves are attained with the aid of the extended homoclinic test. Thereafter, the interaction solutions between a lump wave and a 1-kink or 2-kink soliton are researched. Additionally, four kinds of interaction solutions between lump, kink, and periodic waves through a " rational-cosh-cos" test function are established. Furthermore, the dynamic attributions of the attained solutions are presented utilizing the graphical analysis.

Its reach extends across diverse physical domains, from surface gravity waves to the captivating realm of Bose–Einstein condensates. This article delves into the dual facets of the NLS equation: its capacity for modeling wave packet dynamics and its remarkable breadth of applications. We illuminate the derivation of the NLS equation through both heuristic and multiple-scale approaches, underscoring how distinct interpretations of physical variables and governing equations give rise to varied wave packet dynamics and tailored values for dispersive and nonlinear coefficients. To showcase its versatility, we present an overview of the NLS equation's compelling applications in four research frontiers: nonlinear optics, surface gravity waves, superconductivity, and Bose–Einstein condensates. This exploration reveals the NLS equation as a powerful tool for unifying and understanding a vast spectrum of physical phenomena.

Abstract:New problem is considered that is to find nonlinear differential equations with special solutions. Method is presented to construct nonlinear ordinary differential equations with exact solution. Crucial step to the method is the assumption that nonlinear differential equations have exact solution which is general solution of the simplest integrable equation. The Riccati equation is shown to be a building block to find a lot of nonlinear differential equations with exact solutions. Nonlinear differential equations of the second, third and fourth order with special solutions are given. Most of these equations are used at the description of processes in physics and in theory of nonlinear waves.

Abstract:This article examines the third-order non-linear fractional Westervelt model by using a newly developed integration tool termed the new extended direct algebraic approach. The different wave structures to the considered model are secured in various forms, including bright, dark, and combo solitons. The application of wave structures is advantageous in the examination of sound wave propagation and high amplitude phenomena in the fields of medical imaging and therapy. These solutions are effective in facilitating ultrasound propagation in tissue, underwater acoustics, acoustic cavitation, acoustic levitation, and other related applications. The internal tissue of human beings can be visualized and studied through the use of ultrasound imaging technologies in the field of medicine. This technology possesses numerous uses in both industrial and medicinal sectors. There has been a growing interest in fractional nonlinear partial differential equations due to their ability to describe various complex occurrences and exhibit more dynamic architectures of localized wave solutions. On employing accurate parameter values, multiple graphical representations are generated to provide the visual depiction of the acquired results. The results of this study indicate that the chosen methodology effectively improves nonlinear dynamical processes. The findings indicate that the selected methodology demonstrates efficacy, feasibility, and versatility when applied to intricate systems across several domains, with a special emphasis on ultrasonic imaging. The findings indicate that the system exhibits a potentially significant abundance of soliton structures.

Abstract:Nonlinear distinct models have wide applications in various fields of science and engineering. The present research uses the mapping and generalized Riccati equation mapping methods to address the exact solutions for the nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation. First, the travelling wave transform is used to create an ordinary differential equation form for the nonlinear partial differential equation. This work presents the construction of novel trigonometric, hyperbolic and Jacobi elliptic functions to the nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation using the mapping and generalized Riccati equation mapping methods. In the fields of fluid motion, plasma science, and classical physics the nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation is frequently used to identify of a wide range of interesting physical occurrences. It is considered that the obtained results have not been established in prior study via these methods. To fully evaluate the wave character of the solutions, a number of typical wave profiles are presented, including bell-shaped wave, anti-bell shaped wave, W-shaped wave, continuous periodic wave, while kink wave, smooth kink wave, anti-peakon wave, V-shaped wave and flat wave solitons. Several 2D, 3D and contour plots are produced by taking precise values of parameters in order to improve the physical description of solutions. It is noteworthy that the suggested techniques for solving nonlinear partial differential equations are capable, reliable, and captivating analytical instruments.

Abstract:In this paper, the fractional Broer–Kaup (BK) system is investigated by studying its novel computational wave solutions. These solutions are constructed by applying two recent analytical schemes (modified Khater method and sech–tanh function expansion method). The BK system simulates the bidirectional propagation of long waves in shallow water. Moreover, it is used to study the interaction between nonlinear and dispersive long gravity waves. A new fractional operator is used to convert the fractional form of the BK system to a nonlinear ordinary differential system with an integer order. Many novel traveling wave solutions are constructed that do not exist earlier. These solutions are considered the icon key in the inelastic interaction of slow ions and atoms, where they were able to explain the physical nature of the nuclear and electronic stopping processes. For more illustration, some attractive sketches are also depicted for the interpretation physically of the achieved solutions.

Abstract:This study investigates optical solitons solutions within the framework of the two new (3 + 1)-dimensional integrable wave equations by employing the modified Sardar sub-equation method. The importance of these suggested models span diverse fields including geophysics, seismology, medical imaging, photonics and sensor development. The derived solutions, meticulously verified using Mathematica, encompass a rich array of mathematical functions including trigonometric, hyperbolic, and exponential functions. Visualization techniques, such as 3D plots, 2D plots, density graphs, contour graphs and polar graphs, effectively illustrate the diverse behaviors exhibited by these soliton solutions. These behaviors include lump, periodic, kink, dark, bright, peakons, cuspons, compactons soliton waves and other complex phenomena. Moreover the modulation instability of the consider model is examined, and corresponding conditions are established. The soliton solutions highlight the efficiency and effectiveness of these method in discovering traveling wave solutions, presenting a valuable tool for addressing a range of nonlinear evolution equations arising in diverse scientific fields such as hydrodynamics, optical fiber communications, plasma physics, ocean engineering, nonlinear dynamics, and condensed matter physics.
