Abstract:Oily skin is perceived by many to be a serious cosmetic and medical problem, and it often provokes much concern for people who have it. The skin appears greasy and shiny, sometimes breaks-out (acne), and is often accompanied by large pores on the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead, mainly on the cheeks and nose. Skin with large pores is sometimes referred to as “orange peel” skin, and tends to be prone to break-outs with blackheads particularly common on the nose. People with oily facial skin tend to have trouble applying make-up, since the skin surface is greasy, and often is roughened due to large pores. Make-up often does not apply evenly, and its wearability is diminished by oil break-through, and settling into the pores.
