Energy Sources Part A Recovery Utilization and Environmental Effects
Abstract:Most analyses on heating strategies for power plants rely on a 24-hour heating periodicity technique, simplifying the examination of heating strategies for the entire heating season to that of a single-day''s strategy. Addressing this limitation, the study in this paper uses various heating periodicities as metrics for heating strategies, investigating their impacts on the system. To facilitate simulating heat load data for the entire heating season across different periodicities, the author introduces a supplementary simulation method utilizing MATLAB-EBSILON. This approach enables the rapid and efficient computation and simulation of extensive data sets. Various strategies influence the heating system primarily in terms of natural gas consumption. While longer heating periodicities result in more significant natural gas savings, they also escalate the demand for energy storage system. The research results show that with electricity prices between 0.3 and 0.5 yuan/kWh and natural gas prices ranging from 3.4 to 4.2 yuan/m 3 a 12-hour heating periodicity is identified as the economically optimal heating strategy for the region studied in this article. This approach can save about 7% more economically than conventional 24-hour heating periodicity.
