Abstract:Significance We discovered a hydroxamic acid-based small-molecule N -hydroxy-4-(2-[(2-hydroxyethyl)(phenyl)amino]-2-oxoethyl)benzamide selectively inhibits histone deacetylase 6 catalytic activity in vivo and in vitro.
