Abstract:Let C denote a convex subset within the vector space lp(·), and let T represent a mapping from C onto itself. Assume α=(α1,⋯,αn) is a multi-index in [0,1]n such that ∑i=1nαi=1, where α1>0 and αn>0. We define Tα:C→C as Tα=∑i=1nαiTi, known as the mean average of the mapping T. While every fixed point of T remains fixed for Tα, the reverse is not always true. This paper examines necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of fixed points for T, relating them to the existence of fixed points for Tα and the behavior of T-orbits of points in T's domain. The primary approach involves a detailed analysis of recurrent sequences in R. Our focus then shifts to variable exponent modular vector spaces lp(·), where we explore the essential conditions that guarantee the existence of fixed points for these mappings. This investigation marks the first instance of such results in this framework.

Abstract:We consider open discrete mappings of Riemannian manifolds satisfying a certain modulus inequality and analyze the possibility of continuous extension of these mappings to an isolated point of the boundary. It is proved that these mappings admit extensions of this kind if they exclude two or more points of the connected Riemannian manifold and the majorant appearing in the modulus inequality is integrable over almost all spheres.

Abstract:A new class of non-self mappings, called proximal condensing operators, is introduced and used to investigate the existence of best proximity points for non-self mappings in reflexive Banach spaces by applying an appropriate measure of noncompactness. In this way, we present generalizations of well-known Schauder and Darbo fixed point problems. We then define the notion of best proximity points for multiplication of two non-self mappings in the setting of Banach algebras and present some sufficient conditions to ensure the existence of such points. Finally, we renorm a Banach space consists of all real valued and continuous functions with two variables to obtain the strict convexity condition and then we survey the existence of an optimal solution for a system of partial differential equations.

Abstract:Some fixed point results of classical theory, such as Banach's Fixed Point Theorem, have been previously extended by other authors to asymmetric spaces in recent years. The aim of this paper is to extend to asymmetric spaces some others fixed point results for contractions, shrinkage maps and non-expansive maps. In fact, a version of Edelstein type theorem (Theorem 21), Schauder type theorem (Theorem 22), and Kirk type theorem (Theorem 26) are stated and proved in this new context. In order to do that, classical definitions and results were adapted to this new context. Also, the normal structure in the asymmetric case was considered.

Abstract:In this manuscript, the concept of rational-type multivalued $ F- $contraction mappings is investigated. In addition, some nice fixed point results are obtained using this concept in the setting of $ MM- $spaces and ordered $ MM- $spaces. Our findings extend, unify, and generalize a large body of work along the same lines. Moreover, to support and strengthen our results, non-trivial and extensive examples are presented. Ultimately, the theoretical results are involved in obtaining a positive, definite solution to nonlinear matrix equations as an application.

Abstract:We study some problems related to the boundary behavior of maps of domains of Riemannian surfaces. In particular, for mappings satisfying the inverse Poletsky type modulus inequality, we establish the possibility of their continuous extension to the boundary in terms of prime ends. We also study the local behavior of such mappings at boundary points.

Abstract:It is shown that Segal's theorem on the spaces of rational maps from CP^1 to CP^n can be extended to the spaces of continuous rational maps from CP^m to CP^n for any m less than or equal to n. The tools are the Stone-Weierstrass Theorem and Vassiliev's machinery of simplicial resolutions.

Abstract:We develop dynamical theory for the family of holomorphic correspondences $\mathcal{F}_a$ proved by the current authors to be matings between the modular group and parabolic rational maps in the Milnor slice $Per_1(1)$ (in 'Mating quadratic maps with the modular group II'). Such a mating endows the complement of the limit set of $\mathcal{F}_a$ with the geometry of the hyperbolic plane, equipped with the action of the modular group. We introduce bi-infinite coding sequences for geodesics in this complement, utilising continued fraction expressions of end points; we prove landing theorems for periodic and preperiodic geodesics, and we establish a stronger Yoccoz inequality for repelling fixed points of these correspondences than Yoccoz's classical inequality for quadratic polynomials. We deduce that the connectedness locus of the family $\mathcal{F}_a$ is contained in a particular lune in parameter space.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of common fixed point of tower type contractive mappings in complete metric (pseudo)modular spaces involving the theoretic relation. However, the newly introduced contraction in this paper further characterize and includes in their full strength several existing results in metrical fixed point theory. Some nontrivial supportive examples were given to justify our result. Our results generalize, improve, and unify some existing results.

Abstract:In this paper, by establishing a new characterization of the notion of upper semi-continuity of multi-valued mappings in generalized Banach spaces, we prove some Perov type fixed point theorems for multi-valued mappings with closed graphs. Moreover, we derive some Krasnoselskii's fixe point results for multi-valued mappings in generalized Banach spaces. Our results are applied to a large class of nonlinear inclusions systems.

Abstract:We consider open discrete mappings that satisfy the modulus condition of the inverse Poletsky inequality type. We study the case when the majorant in it is integrable, or more generally, has finite averages over infinitesimal spheres. We proved that such mappings have a continuous extension to an isolated point of the boundary of some domain without any a priori requirements on the corresponding mapped domain for integrable majorants. In the case of majorants, integrable on spheres, we require only the boundedness of the mapped domain. We do not require any other topological conditions on the mappings.

Abstract:If n points B_1,---,B_n$ in the standard simplex \Delta_n are affinely independent, then they can span an (n-1)-simplex denoted by \Lambda=Con(B_1,---,B_n). Here \Lambda corresponds to an n*n matrix [\Lambda] whose columns are B_1,---,B_n. In this paper, we firstly proved that if \Lambda of diameter sufficiently small contains a point $P$, and f(P)>0 (<0) for a form f in R[X], then the coefficients of f([\Lambda] X) are all positive (negative). Next, as an application of this result, a necessary and sufficient condition for determining the real zeros on \Delta_n of a system of homogeneous algebraic equations with integral coefficients is established.

Abstract:We define the concept of stronger forms of positively expansive map and name it as $p \:\mathscr{F}-$expansive maps. Here $\mathscr{F}$ is a family of subsets of $\mathbb{N}$. Examples of positively thick expansive and positively syndetic expansive maps are constructed here. Also, we obtain conditions under which a positively expansive map is positively co--finite expansive and positively syndetic expansive maps. Further, we study several properties of $p \:\mathscr{F}-$expansive maps. A characterization of $p \:\mathscr{F}-$expansive maps in terms of $p \:\mathscr{F}^*-$generator is obtained. Here $p \:\mathscr{F}^*$ is dual of $\mathscr{F}$. Considering $(\mathbb{Z},+)$ as a semigroup, we study $\mathscr{F}-$expansive homeomorphism, where $\mathscr{F}$ is a family of subsets of $\mathbb{Z} \setminus \{0\}$. We show that there does not exists an expansive homeomorphism on a compact metric space which is $\mathscr{F}_s-$expansive. Also, we study relation between $\mathscr{F}-$expansivity of $f$ and the shift map $\sigma_f$ on the inverse limit space.

Abstract:We study pullbacks of modular forms of weight 1 from the modular curve X(4) to the modular curve X(4p), where p is an odd prime. We find the extent to which such modular forms separate points on X(4p). Our main result is that these modular forms give rise to a morphism F from the quotient of X(4p) by a certain involution ι to projective space, such that F is a projective embedding of X(4p)/ι away from the cusps. We also report on computer calculations regarding products of such modular forms, going up to weight 4 for p ≤ 13, and up to weight 3 for p ≤ 23, and make a conjecture about these products and the nature of the singularities at the cusps of the image F(X(4p)/ι).

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to generalize the results on expansive mappings of Yesilkaya and Aydin from \cite{Yesilkaya}. We give some fixed point results for q-expansive mappings in metric spaces and prove some fixed point theorems for this class of mappings. Finally, we present some examples to support the new results.

Topological Methods in Nonlinear Analysis

Abstract:Let be a bounded, closed and convex subset of a reflexive metric space with a digraph such that -intervals along walks are closed and convex. In the main theorem we show that if is a monotone -nonexpansive mapping and there exists such that , then has a fixed point provided for each , has the fixed point property for nonexpansive mappings. In particular, it gives an essential generalization of the Dehaish-Khamsi theorem concerning partial orders in complete uniformly convex hyperbolic metric spaces. Some counterparts of this result for modular spaces, and for commutative families of mappings are given too.
