Abstract:With China's economic and social developments,the demand for healthcare services has been increasing rapidly.Traditional Chinese medicine is a unique healthcare resource and an economic resource with great potential in China.The services provided by traditional Chinese medicine include health preservation,healthcare,medical treatment,rehabilitation,and so forth,while the core of traditional medicine is the supply of healthcare services based on traditional Chinese medicinal products.The modernization of traditional Chinese medicine will promote the quiet formation of a comprehensive healthcare industry based on traditional Chinese medicine.A comprehensive healthcare industry based on traditional Chinese medicine involves the cultivation,R&D,production,circulation,and sales of traditional Chinese medical products,which are part of a long industry chain that crosses both sectors and regions.A comprehensive healthcare industry that is based on traditional Chinese medicine has st-ong advantages that include the adjustment of industrial structures,the ability to increase farmer income and employment,service toward healthcare reform,benefits toward people's livelihood,and ecological protection.This paper expounds the development situation of the comprehensive healthcare industry based on traditional Chinese medicine,analyzes existing problems and shortcomings,and proposes a strategic center,two strategic priorities,four developing directions,and six key initiatives.

Abstract:The paper discusses the development of traditional Chinese medicine as a tourism product. More and more people are increasingly concerned about their health and seeking all kinds of forms to improve health and wellness. Many traditional or nature-based therapies in the healthcare sectors are being accepted by the public. Among them, the traditional Chinese medicine’s philosophy and therapeutic elements are earning high praise by the world public. This paper focuses on the development, current status and prospects of the tourism products based on the traditional Chinese medicine. The relationship of medical tourism and the traditional Chinese medicine tourism is analyzed. Special features and advantages of Chinese medicine tourism are introduced. The challenges and answers for developing the Chinese medicine tourism are presented in the paper.

Abstract:As the "rural revitalization" and "Health China 2030" strategies are promoted simultaneously, health tourism has become a new trend in the integration of tourism and health industry [1].One hand, with the rapid development of China's economic level, people's income level has increased and the demand for tourism has increased; on the other hand, in Covid-19 epidemic era, health is also a major issue of increasing concern for citizens, which makes health tourism gradually accepted by society and tourists. Zhejiang province has good health tourism resources, and the overall situation of health tourism shows an upward development trend, becomes one of the important projects of Zhejiang tourism industry. This paper explores the problems and shortcomings of the current health tourism in Zhejiang Province through the research methods of literature analysis, case study, in-depth interview and questionnaire, and tries to put forward feasible suggestions to provide effective help to Zhejiang health tourism under the background of rural revitalization as well as health tourism in other regions.

Abstract:The emphasis on travel health and health tourism shows a historic progress in tourism, which is the focus of tourism development under the post-modern society and post-tourism era, and as well as the mirror of the idea of Humanism in tourism. When the forms of tourism evolve from traditional ones, such as sightseeing tour and cultural tour, to health tourism, it pays more attention to both physical and mental health in the traveling, which shows the development in tourism, basing on the change from considering economic benefits simply to giving consideration to social benefits, ecological benefits, and human health. Chinese Medicine as a product filling the wellness health tourism niche in China: Prospect and challenges

Abstract:With the boom of China’s economy and an influx of foreign visitors Chinese Medicine and related health services have increasingly become popular for tourists. This study includes a survey to explore the pattern of tourists’ health product and services consumption during their stays in China. The research team also visited a couple of resorts and observed the pattern of health products and services that were offered under the brand name of Chinese Medicine. The vast majority of these tourists was short term visitors and had consumed Chinese herbal medicine, body massage, hot spring baths, foot massage, and spa activities for health rejuvenation and relaxation. This trend has made Chinese Medicine a prime label for promoting various health products and services as wellness tourism. The major reasons for tourists’ consumption of such Chinese Medicine appear to be to reduce stress, relax, reduce pain, and try new things which are not accessible or affordable in their own countries. However, concern has risen about the quality and authenticity of the Chinese Medicine products and services tourists consume. As the data show, very few of the expatriates were aware of the professional background of the service providers and had little knowledge about Chinese Medicine. This paper concludes that Chinese Medicine has been used as a label to cater to tourists, where the prime selling points are Chinese culture, minimum side-effects, and stress reduction. However, this development has also been facing various challenges, such as quality control, lack of regulation and the authenticity of the Chinese Medicine products and services involved.
Analysis of Willingness and Influencing Factors of Tourists Participating in Traditional Chinese Medicine Tourism in a Scenic Area of Heilongjiang Province

Abstract:Objective: To analyze the willingness of tourists in Heilongjiang to participate in TCM tourism and its influence factors, discuss whether there exists great potential for Heilongjiang to develop the TCM and the specific development path.Methods: The questionnaire was conducted in 271 tourists selected by convenience sampling method in Wudalianchi scenic spot to survey their desire to try the new TCM tourism.The general descriptive analysis, χ2 test and binary logistic regression analysis were adopted to deal with the data.Results: There are 170(62.7%) tourists who are willing to participate in TCM tourism project.Among the five types, the health care type (64.6%), the ornamental type (18.1%) and the disease treatment type (10.7%) have a large proportion of tourists'' willingness to participate.The significant influence factors showed by Logistic analyzed results are age, education, self-rated health condition, understanding degree on TCM tourism and experience of medical tourism.Conclusion: There is great potential for Heilongjiang to develop this new TCM tourism.In order to develop the TCM tourism smoothly, it is essential to segment the market and make the corresponding TCM projects according to different level of age, education, health condition and tourism experience.Meanwhile, advertising on the meaning, explicit forms, significance of TCM tourism also should be put in first place to attract more tourist groups.

Abstract:Health tourism products have become the object of tourists’ pursuit, and health tourism has become an important project for the development of domestic tourist attractions. Health tourism has the basic projects of traditional tourism. On this basis, it has added many concepts of traditional health culture and formed a new type of tourism that integrates various functions such as recuperation, leisure, health care and vacation. On the basis of expounding the relevant theories of health tourism culture, this paper discusses the connotation of traditional health culture from the perspectives of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism, and analyzes the characteristics and classification of Chinese health tourism. The product mapping of traditional health culture in modern health-preserving scenic areas is deeply analyzed with three scenic spots of Wudang Mountain, Shennongjia and Dalaoling, on this basis, to explore the development strategies of traditional health culture and modern tourism development in China.

Abstract:China is the only country in the world where Western medicine and traditional medicine are practised alongside each other at every level of the healthcare system. Traditional Chinese medicine has a unique theoretical and practical approach to the treatment of disease, which has developed over thousands of years. Traditional treatments include herbal remedies, acupuncture, acupressure and massage, and moxibustion. They account for around 40% of all health care delivered in China. The current government policy of expansion of traditional facilities and manpower is being questioned because many hospitals using traditional Chinese medicine are already underutilized and depend on government subsidies for survival. Research priorities include randomised controlled trials of common treatments and analysis of the active agents in herbal remedies. As more studies show the clinical effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine, an integrated approach to disease using a combination of Western medicine and traditional approaches becomes a possibility for the future.

Abstract:In the post-pandemic era, Chinese tourism industry is faced with unprecedented and profound adjustments. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has not only played a vital role in treatment, and prevention and control of COVID-19, but also played a significant role in the development of TCM health tourism industry. Although Shandong has advantaged resources of traditional medicine materials, there are still problems and shortcomings in the development of TCM tourism industry. In this paper, based on RMP Analysis (Resource Analysis; Market Analysis; Product Analysis), the author analyzes the development status of TCM tourism products by questionnaire survey, and on this basis, puts forward questions and countermeasures to promote the upgrading and transformation of TCM health tourism in Shandong Province.

Abstract:With the improvement of people's living standards and the upgrade of consumers’ need, people pursue healthy travel, consumption, and a livable living environment. Therefore, health tourism has increasingly become a new way of tourism, which is more and more favored and recognized by society. Moreover, the increase in the number of sub-healthy people and the age of population have also prompted people's needs for health tourism. China is vast, and natural recreation environment such as coastal, forests, grasslands, and lakeside provides a solid foundation for the development of different characteristics of health tourism in various places. With rich forest tourism resources, Zhejiang Province has become one of the provinces that nationwide to carry out pilot piloting of forest health tourism. This article analyzes the development status of the Zhejiang forest health tourism and the survey of tourists on the needs of forest health tourism, Which is based on literature research, field survey, and questionnaire surveys. Abstract:In the era of the rise of the concept of Big Health, traditional Chinese medicine culture, senior tourism and elderly care industry show a trend of integration. Combining traditional Chinese medicine health and ecological tourism, a new form of business is taking shape in the elderly care industry, which is the "cross-border" cooperation between traditional Chinese medicine and tourism. This paper sought to analyze the integrated development and potential of traditional Chinese medicine culture, senior tourism and elderly care industry; discuss the realistic dilemma of the integrated development under the background of big health. This Thesis makes an in-depth study on the standardization degree and influence of the integration of traditional Chinese medicine culture and Senior Tourism and Elderly Care Industry through literature review method, and reveals the problems and challenges in the current traditional Chinese medicine culture and Senior Tourism and Elderly Care Industry .The feasibility of traditional Chinese medicine culture and Senior Tourism and Elderly Care Industry was studied in depth by means of various evaluation indicators and sample survey.

Abstract:Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) develops rapidly in recent years in China; meanwhile, it faces new challenges and shoulders new historical missions. Moreover, the inheritance and innovation of TCM is crucial for the promotion of the Healthy China initiative. To continuously promote the high-quality development of TCM, this study analyzes the current status and development problems of TCM development from the aspects of theoretic innovation, clinical advantages and evaluation, TCM resource development and utilization, intelligent manufacturing, and globalization. Furthermore, six countermeasures are proposed. First,efforts should focus on the theoretical research of TCM, and a population-based TCM health program is suggested. Second, the existing management mechanisms and systems should be innovated, and innovation trials conducted in key evaluation systems and methods. Third, the TCM talent team construction should be strengthened to improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment levels and scientific research and development of TCM. Fourth, domestic and international resources can be integrated to stimulate the vitality of the TCM industry and promote the comprehensive development and utilization of TCM resources. Fifth, intelligent manufacturing of TCM should be emphasized, and innovative development of theoretical research, technical systems, and personnel training should be coordinated. Sixth, the globalization of TCM should be promoted to realize the integration of TCM with international traditional and modern medicine.

Abstract:Purpose This paper explores the role of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as a tourism recovery drawcard to boost China's inbound tourism after COVID-19. Design/methodology/approach This paper employed a mixed method involving a cross-disciplinary literature review along with reflections from experts in TCM and health communication to inform tourism management. Specifically, this paper examines TCM and its potential benefits as a medical tourism drawcard to combat COVID-19. The selected literature focusses on the image and merits of TCM to frame how this medical philosophy can be used to position China as a tourist destination. Reflections on the use of TCM as a tourism marketing tool can guide promotional strategies from the Chinese government and destination managers during and after COVID-19. Findings The Chinese government, the tourism industry (e.g. destination managers), the media and tourists must focus on three aspects of the role of TCM: to provide medical benefits to travellers amid COVID-19 and beyond, elevate China as a destination for global medical tourists and be leveraged as a tool for economic recovery. Practical implications The paper builds a tourism recovery framework for stakeholders to adopt tailored TCM communication strategies to boost its inbound tourism programme. Originality/value This paper is the first academic paper to review TCM comprehensively and critically in relation to China tourism and post-COVID-19 recovery measures.
