Abstract:In June 2008, the Shenzhen landfill slope failed. This case is used as an example to study the deformation characteristics and failure mode of a slope induced by high water levels. An integrated monitoring system, including water level gauges, electronic total stations, and inclinometers, was used to monitor the slope failure process. The field measurements suggest that the landfill landslide was caused by a deep slip along the weak interface of the composite liner system at the base of the landfill. The high water level is considered to be the main factor that caused this failure. To calculate the relative interface shear displacements in the geosynthetic multilayer liner system, a series of numerical direct shear tests were carried out. Based on the numerical results, the composite lining system simplified and the centrifuge modeling technique was used to quantitatively evaluate the effect of water levels on landfill instability.

Abstract:Dekatnya jalan raya dari sungai Alas sehingga perlu stabilitas tebing. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan nilai Faktor Keamanan (FK) dan dimensi dinding. Metode analisis menggunakan keseimbangan batas (limit equilibrium method) menggunakan software Geostudio Slope/W. FK menggunakan metode Morgenstern-Price, kekakuan tanah menggunakan Mohr-Coulomb dan beton bertulang menggunakan High Strength. FK muka air 1,20 m dan 2,00 m adalah 0,82 dan 0,78. Setelah distabilitas dinding kantilver muka air 2,00 m dengan kedalaman 0,5 m, 1,0 m, dan 1,5 m dari dasar sungai, nilai FK meningkat yaitu: 1,48, 158, dan 1,61. Dinding kedalaman tapak 0,5 dari dasar saluran sungai tidak aman, sedangkan pada kedalaman 1,0 m dan 1,5 meter aman. Dimensi dinding Kantilever setelah direncanakan kedalaman 0,50 m panjang 8,55 m, tebal 0,30 m, kedalaman 1,00 m panjang 9,1 m, tebal 0,30 m, kedalaman 1,50 m panjang 9,64 m, tebal 0,30 m.

Abstract:Abstract. The mining system has the potential for mining water problems that have an impact on the entry of water into the mine openings, thus affecting working conditions with a decrease in rock strength resulting in instability. The mining water problem occurred at PT PPA Site Job PT MLP disposal area and pit. This research was conducted to determine the value of the actual rock strength (strength material), runoff water management in the form of determining the dimensions of the drains, sump dimensions, the number and specifications of the pump to be used, and the value of the safety factor (FK) on the slopes. The research method used is the geotechnical analysis of slope stability with the Finite Element Method and the Limit Equilibrium Method and is simulated with Phase2 and Slide software. The study was conducted in the disposal area divided into 5 sections (A-E). The input material parameters used are the internal shear angle (Ø), cohesion (c) and the density of the embankment material (ɤ) which are obtained based on the results of testing the physical and mechanical properties of the bulk and core samples. Runoff water management is carried out by hydrological analysis using the Gumbel distribution method and the Mononobe equation, while the planning of the dimensions of the water channel uses the Manning formula and the sump dimension by trial and error based on the amount of water discharge entering the pit. The test results show the lowest cohesion (c) value is 0.22 kg/m2 and the lowest internal shear angle (Ø) is 15.30o. Hydrological analysis for recommendations for the dimensions of waterways in the management of runoff water outside the pit, namely the width of the base (B) 0.4 meters; optimal water height (h) 0.21 meters; channel height (H) 0.45 meters and top length (L) 0.90 meters. The dimensions of the sump in the management of runoff and groundwater in the pit are 26 meters long, 19 meters wide and 6 meters high with a volume capacity of 2,964 m3, and the pump used is Multiflo® RF-420EXHV which has specifications with a maximum rotation speed of 1700 rpm, head 250 meters and pumping capability of 450 l/s. Geotechnical analysis in the disposal area shows that section A of the slopes (a) and E and in the area of the pit section Y there is no need for slope geometry recommendations based on KEPMEN 1827K/MEM/30/2018 with a safety factor value (FK) 1,3. Abstrak. Sistem penambangan memiliki potensi permasalahan air tambang yang berdampak dengan masuknya air kedalam bukaan tambang sehingga mempengaruhi kondisi kerja dengan penurunan kekuatan batuan yang mengakibatkan ketidakstabilan. Permasalahan air tambang tersebut terjadi pada PT PPA Site Job PT MLP area disposal dan pit. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai kekuatan batuan (strength material), pengelolaan air limpasan berupa penentuan dimensi saluran air, dimensi sump, jumlah dan spesifikasi pompa yang akan digunakan, serta nilai faktor keamanan (FK) pada lereng. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis geoteknik kestabilan lereng dengan metode elemen hingga (Finite Element Method) dan metode kesetimbangan batas (Limit Equilibrium Method) serta disimulasikan dengan software Phase2 dan Slide. Penelitian dilakukan pada area disposal yang dibagi menjadi 5 section (A-E). Input parameter material yang digunakan adalah sudut geser dalam (Ø), kohesi (c) dan berat jenis material timbunan (ɤ) yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil pengujian sifat fisik dan sifat mekanik pada bulk dan core sample. Pengelolaan air limpasan dilakukan dengan analisis hidrologi menggunakan metode Distribusi Gumbel dan persamaan Mononobe, sedangkan perencanaan dimensi saluran air menggunakan rumus Manning dan dimensi sump dengan trial and error berdasarkan jumlah debit air yang masuk ke dalam pit. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai kohesi (c) terendah sebesar 0,22 kg/m2 dan nilai sudut geser dalam (Ø) terendah sebesar 15,30o. Analisis hidrologi untuk rekomendasi dimensi saluran air dalam pengelolaan air limpasan di luar pit yaitu lebar dasar (B) 0,4 meter; tinggi air optimal (h) 0,21 meter; tinggi saluran (H) 0,45 meter dan panjang atas (L) 0,90 meter. Dimensi sump dalam pengelolaan air limpasan dan air tanah di dalam pit yaitu panjang 26 meter, lebar 19 meter dan tinggi 6 meter dengan kapasitas volume 2.964 m3, serta pompa yang digunakan adalah Multiflo® RF-420EXHV memiliki spesifikasi dengan kecepatan putaran maksimal 1700 rpm, head 250 meter dan kemampuan pemompaan 450 l/s. Analisis geoteknik pada area disposal menunjukkan section A lereng (a) dan E serta pada area pit section Y tidak diperlukannya rekomendasi geometri lereng berdasarkan KEPMEN 1827K/MEM/30/2018 dengan nilai faktor keamanan (FK) ≥ 1,3.

Abstract:During rainy seasons, landslide occurs every year in Talang Bawong, Kalibawang Irrigation Channel thatcan damage houses, school building, bridge and the channel. Considering this fact, a numerical analysis by modeling the slope at the site was conducted. The objectives of this research were to identify the rain characteristic in the research site and to recognize its influence towards the change of water pressure in soil as well as the slope failure. The input data of this analysis were slope topography, physical and mechanical properties of soil applied. Groundwater flow in the slope model was numerically simulated by using SEEP/W software. Designed rainfall with appropriate return period was determined by analizing the maximum daily rainfall data with the aid of HAVARA software, while rainfall depth distribution was completed by applying frequency analysis. The historical daily rainfall data (1985 – 2004) were obtained from Kalibawang rain stasiun. Six rainfall models, as follow: initial condition (no rain) (model I), heavy rain in a short duration (model II), normal rain 25 mm and 40 mm in a long duration (model III), normal rain 20 mm in a long duration (model IV), heavy rain followed by normal rain 20 mm (model V), and normal rain 20 mm followed by heavy rain (model VI) Were analyzed. The output of the simulation was water pressure distribution data, which in turn being used as input data in analyzing slope stability using the SLOPE/W software. The result of the research showed that the highest rainfall with 2-year-return period was 114 mm while the dominant duration was 4 hours/day, and it was applied in the model II. The result showed that, a normal rain in a long duration is more severely influenced the change in water pressure than a heavy rain in a short duration. The safety factors are 1,444 for no rain condition, 1,418 for 114 mm rain for 4 hours, 1,208 for 25 mm and 40 mm rains, 0,982 for 20 mm rain, 1,397 for heavy rain followed by normal rain, and 1,402 for normal rain followed by heavy rain. In addition, a 20 mm normal rain on the 61st day resulted in the most severe influence on the slope failure.

Abstract:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi nilai deformasi, penurunan dan angka keamanan pada galian tanah pada proyek pekerjaan jalur rel layang kereta api di Simpang Joglo Kota Surakarta. Analisa menggunakan analisa numerik 2D. Studi ini dapat bermanfaat sebagai bagian dari upaya mitigasi dan pencegahan terhadap resiko kelongsoran tanah yang terjadi akibat proyek galian sementara tersebut dengan permodelan tanah Hardening Soil (HS) dengan Undrained B. Pada sisi timur galian menggunakan konstruksi SSP (Steel-Sheet-Pile) dimana terdapat beban rel kereta api yang bekerja sedangkan pada sisi barat galian menggunakan penahan bambu dengan beban konstruksi jalan yang bekerja. Tanah dibagi kedalam dua lapisan dengan konsistensi lapisan lempung sedang (0-11 m) ke lempung keras (11-50 m). Dari hasil analisa didapatkan nilai maksimum perpindahan dari konstruksi penahan SSP adalah 10,82 mm dimana nilai perpindahan pada bambu hanya sebesar 6,85 mm. Hal ini selaras terhadap garis kelongsoran terbesar terjadi pada sisi timur galian yang menggunakan SSP dengan nilai SF sebesar 3,37 > 2 dimana dapat dikategorikan aman Selanjutnya, besaran nilai penurunan pada kedua sisi galian tidak lebih dari 10 mm. Hal dianggap aman terhadap dampak dari galian sementara pada proyek tersebut. Pada konstruksi penahan SSP memiliki nilai penurunan maksimum sebesar 10,09 mm pada jarak dari galian 3,41 m. Sedangkan pada konstruksi penahan berupa bambu diprediksi hanya sebesar 2,5 mm dengan jarak dari galian sekitar 3,12 m.
Settlement Analysis in Potentially Liquifiable Soil at Kretek 2 Bridge Area

Abstract:The Kretek 2 Bridge is one of the important infrastructures built on the southern coast road of Java. Referring to the Map of Indonesia Liquefaction Vulnerability Zone in 2019, Kretek 2 Bridge was identified as a high liquefaction susceptibility zone. The result of liquefaction potential analysis on the slab-on-pile section indicates that the soil layer has potential to liquefy if an earthquake occurs. Based on the Liquefaction Severity Index, the slab-on-pile section of the Kretek 2 Bridge has a high severity index at BH-10, moderate severity index at BH-11, and low severity index at BH-01 and BH-12. One of liquefaction effects is a ground settlement. Settlement due to liquefaction is a vertical soil deformation in the soil layer caused by compaction due to the earthquake. This study was conducted by calculating the settlement of sand deposits in slab-on-pile section using an equation proposed by Zhang et al. in 2002 and Yoshimine in 2006. The results of settlement analysis using Zhang's method to predict settlement in the study area, BH-10 having the most significant settlement at 29.803 cm. Using the settlement analysis method by Yoshimine, the highest settlement found in BH-10, which is 30.401 cm.

Abstract:Abstract The collapse of the embankment is a problem that needs attention to find the right solution, so that the risk can be minimized. The condition of the embankment is influenced by the strength of the soil layer of the embankment, groundwater flow in the embankment, the condition of the water level of the embankment and human activities around the embankment. Changes in the quality of soil density in the embankment can form cavity zones within the embankment which cause changes in groundwater flow patterns in the embankment. The degradation of the soil layer of the embankment can cause piping, overtopping which is the cause of erosion of the embankment body and disturbs the stability of the embankment. Therefore, to determine the condition of the embankment soil layer, research on the stability of the embankment has been carried out using the geoelectric method at the location of the embankment in the Cipancuh and Penjalin reservoirs, so that an image of the embankment soil layer is obtained to determine the cavity zones in the embankment, the flow pattern in the embankment soil layer. Abstract:This research was conducted by using a descriptive method based on the results of surveys and field observations and laboratory analysis. Field survey activities were carried out to obtain primary data in the form of general biophysical conditions of the area and physical and chemical characteristics of the soil obtained from observations and indicators of soil quality through soil analysis in the laboratory. Soil sampling points were determined using the purposive sampling method, namely points that have been determined in selected dry land areas in Blang Bintang District, Aceh Besar District. Soil sampling for analysis of chemical properties was carried out by drilling. Soil drilling was carried out to determine the thickness of the soil solum. Sampling was focused only on the top soil layer with a thickness of 0 - 20 cm. In mixed garden land use type (LUT) 5 - 6 sample points were taken which were then analyzed in the laboratory. From the data from the soil analysis, the fertility status of each type of land use will be determined. Field observations and sampling were carried out at each observation point (LUT) in the Blang Bintang District, Aceh Besar District.The soil characteristics and a large percentage of sand compared to the percentage of silt and clay. The low content of clay fraction in both lands affected the formation of soil aggregates. The position and composition of organic matter greatly determine the process of forming stability and distribution of aggregates. Sandy soil in mixed garden vegetation is difficult to absorb water and nutrients due to large grains and small surface area per unit weight. The soil which is dominated by the sand fraction is porous with high aeration pores. Smooth aeration properties can increase the oxidationof organic matter.

Abstract:PT. FOCUS CIPTAMAKMUR BERSAMA, Blitar, East Java. is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry manufacture Hexabent (mixed fertilizer) with Bentonite raw materials (natural rock). In the process of operation PT. FOCUS TOGETHER CIPTAMAKMUR have problems at a distance of material handling systems. In this study using CRAFT algorithm and as aligning with ARC method. This method aims to determine the function of the relationship between the stations to each other and to minimize the cost of material displacement. Cost of material displacement is defined as the flow of products, the distance and cost of transport unit. Collecting data in this study through pengkuran distance between stations, material handling costs between stations (OMH per unit distance), and the number of stations that exist in the company. From the research results obtained by the method of saving CRAFT distance from the initial layout of 2,751 meters to 1,332 meters difference of 20.93 %. And earned comparisons to the costs of moving materials from Rp. 1.684.800 to Rp. 1.332.050 or occur savings of 20.93 %.

Abstract:Watershed is a plain area bounded by hills or mountains that serves to store, accommodate, and drain water from upstream to downstream of the river. Watersheds (DAS) are part of the unity of resources where humans actively use them. In this study, the aspect studied was the condition of the soil texture which aims to determine the erodibility (K) of the soil around the Kombot watershed. This study used survey methods and laboratory analysis to obtain data on soil texture and erodibility (K).The results showed that: 1) The soil erodibility value was very high in the soil sample (1) with a K value of 0.60 at a slope of 0-400 with land use namely moor while soil texture class was dusty clay, 2) The soil erodibility value of low value is found in the soil sample (13) with a K value of 0.17 on slopes 9-140 with plantation land use while the soil texture class is sandy loam, 3) soil texture is a factor that affects the value of soil erodibility (K), because soil texture has sensitivity to erosion. Key words: Kombot watershed, soil erodibility, soil texture Abstrak Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) merupakan suatu wilayah dataran yang dibatasi oleh perbukitan atau pegunungan yang berfungsi sebagai tempat menampung, menampung, dan mengalirkan air dari hulu ke hilir sungai. Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) merupakan bagian dari kesatuan sumber daya yang dimanfaatkan secara aktif oleh manusia. Dalam penelitian ini aspek yang diteliti adalah kondisi tekstur tanah yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui erodibilitas (K) tanah di sekitar DAS Kombot. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan analisis laboratorium untuk memperoleh data tekstur dan erodibilitas tanah (K). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Nilai erodibilitas tanah pada sampel tanah sangat tinggi (1) dengan nilai K 0,60 pada kemiringan 0-400 dengan penggunaan lahan yaitu tegalan sedangkan kelas tekstur tanah lempung berdebu, 2) Nilai erodibilitas tanah yang bernilai rendah terdapat pada contoh tanah (13) dengan nilai K sebesar 0,17 pada lereng 9-140 dengan penggunaan lahan perkebunan sedangkan kelas tekstur tanahnya adalah lempung berpasir, 3) tekstur tanah merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai erodibilitas tanah (K), karena tekstur tanah mempunyai kepekaan terhadap erosi. Evaluation of Aggregate Stability Using the Slaking Index Method with Soil Physical Approach in Keduang Sub-Watershed, Indonesia

Abstract:The Keduang Sub-Watershed area has faced multiple natural disasters like landslides, erosion, and flooding because of the poorly managed terrain in the area. This study examines the distribution of the slaking index on agricultural land in the Keduang Sub-Watershed, analyzes the impact of soil type on it, and identifies the soil physical elements that have the most significant influence on it. The study took place in the Keduang Sub-Watershed, Indonesia, utilizing agricultural land from woods, plantations, drylands, and paddy fields with Andisols, Alfisols, Inceptisols, and Entisols soil types. This survey research was supported by laboratory analysis of the soil's physical and chemical properties and used GIS for data interpretation. Soil samples were collected from 22 Land Map Units (LMUs) with 3 replications each, resulting in 66 samples. The SLAKES software assesses the primary parameter, the slaking index. The supporting parameters analyzed were aggregate stability, bulk density, texture, structure, pH, organic C, and Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). The research showed that soil types in the Keduang Sub-Watershed significantly affect the slaking index value. The slaking index ranged from 0.13-11.63, with the highest values for Andisols in a forest, while the lowest values were Inceptisols in a plantation. The allophane mineral in Andisols was causing the high slaking index. The soil factors determining the slaking index were bulk density and exchangeable K. The lower the bulk density, the higher the slaking index. Meanwhile, the lower the exchangeable K, the lower the slaking index. The land management recommendations based on determinant factors are adding organic material and reducing soil cultivation practices.

Abstract:Abstract Subsurface condition evaluation is often relied to answer various necessities in a community, such as groundwater potential determination as a source of water supply. One of the most utilized method for this purpose is the geoelectrical method due to its efficiency, cost effectivity, and non-invasive nature. Geoelectrical method can also be used in tandem with geotechnical method, such as the Cone Penetration Test (CPT). In this study, a geoelectrical survey has been conducted in Gatot Subroto Street, Balikpapan. The survey uses 3 geoelectrical configurations: Dipole-Dipole, Wenner-Alpha, and Wenner-Schlumberger, which was performed using MAE type X-612EM+ with 24 electodes and 2 m spacing between electrodes. Soil quality assessment has also been conducted at the location from 0 to 29 m of depth using CPT. After geoelectrical survey had been done, the data would then be interpreted along with CPT data to project subsurface condition around the studied location. Based on the observation of the geoelectrical survey up to 6 m of depth, there are areas showing low resistivity value of <100 Ωm, characterizing that the layer is dominated by clay. In addition, groundwater potential is also found at a depth of ±2 m and characterized by a very low resistivity value of < 1.7 Ωm. Furthermore, CPT data classifies the soil layer from 0 to 19.40 m as very soft clay. These results infer strong correlation between geoelectrical and CPT data at the observed location.

The stability of the soft soil found in the location of the railway double track planning can be improved by the method of bamboo slab mattress because the carrying capacity of the soil increases due to pressure from the bamboo slabs that enter the soil. In this study bamboo slabs were used in order to strengthen the stability of embankments on the double track railroad where the embankment did not experience the collapse of the load of the pile itself or due to the burden of the passing train. The earthquake load can affect the stability of the slope of the double track railroad, this is evidenced from the analysis using the plaids program so that the internal force can be known. In the writing of this study, we will draw a picture of soft soil reinforcement modeling with bamboo slabs, which analyzes the calculations with additional earthquake loads. This can be a reference in the implementation of the construction of railroad lines in Indonesia, which are located in vulnerable locations with wetland conditions or rice fields

Abstract:Open access land mining activities on the Lubuk Selasih – Surian national road have in floods and landslides that have, in losses to the community and the imposition of costs for maintenance and rehabilitation of federal roads along the mining area. This study aims to determine the existing condition of mining and analyze the vulnerability of erosions in mining areas. The data used is secondary data, using descriptive quantitative methods with photogrammetric analysis of the maps obtained. The results showed that this mining area has the characteristics of rocks that are easily crushed and tend to be unstable, as well as steep and very steep slopes. This area is also located on the active Semangko fault and volcanic mountains. The environmental carrying capacity of disaster prevention and protection ecosystem services is mainly in the shallow categories. Based on these findings, the mine site is at a very high level of vulnerability to erosions. Thus, it is necessary to mitigate mining management administratively and operationally to minimize environmental damage

Abstract:Slope stability analysis generally uses the concept of factor of safety (FoS) value using several whole rock parameters. The slope stability analysis method that will be used in this research is the slope stability analysis method in open pit mines based on rock mass classification with the Rock Mass Rating (RMR) system and the Geological Strength Index (GSI) system and analyses the potential for landslides that can occur on slopes at that location with kinematics and limit equilibrium methods so that the type of landslide can be determined based on the intensity of the geological structure on the slope of the CV. Inti Jaya open pit limestone mine, in Wahab Village, Nimbokrang District, Jayapura Regency. This research aims to provide information on the current condition of the slope whether it is by safety standards, make slope engineering improvements and redesign safe slopes if unstable slope conditions are found. Research on the stability of limestone slopes begins with the collection of field data and rock samples. Furthermore, sample testing was carried out to obtain physical and mechanical properties and weighting of rock masses, which were then analysed to obtain the characteristics and quality of rock masses that would be applied using the finite element method with Slide 6 from Rocscience to determine the Factor of Safety (FK) and the design of safe slope geometry. The RMR value for slope 1 is 62, slope 2 is 61, and slope 3 is 62. So it can be concluded that the rock is included in rock mass class 2 with good quality. Based on the analysis of potential avalanche types, the three slopes have non-arc avalanche types. From the analysis carried out using Rocscience Slide 6.0 software, the FoS value for slopes in original, dry, and saturated conditions is obtained, where on slope 1: FoS in original conditions is 0.935, FoS in dry conditions is 1.619, and FoS in saturated conditions is 0.671. Then slope 2: FoS in original condition is 0.896, FoS in dry condition is 1.457, and FoS in saturated condition is 0.806. Slope 3: FoS in original condition is 3.490, FoS in dry condition is 4.199, and FoS in saturated condition is 3.368. So it can be concluded that slopes 1 and 2 are unsafe or unstable in original and saturated conditions so that landslides can occur. In the analysis of the FoS value of the actual condition of the slopes in the field using the Hoek & Brown method, the FoS value of slope 1 is 0.387, the FoS value of slope 2 is 0.579, and the FoS value of slope 3 is 1.272, it can be seen that the actual condition of the slopes in the field is slopes 1 and 2 in an unsafe or unstable state. Improvements must be made to the slope geometry to maintain the stability of the slope to remain safe or stable. The recommended improvement is to create a new working level for slopes 1 and 2, with steep height and large rock porphyry.

Abstract:Open pit mining has a complex connection to excavation and stockpiling operations, which can potentially induce slope instability. The analysis of slope stability is crucial to prevent slope failure, which has the potential to result in major losses. The study on slope stability was performed at the low wall pit Y area of PT. Bina Sarana Sukses site MAS in Lahat Regency. This research aimed to analyze the rock mass classifications, determine the safety factor values, and provide recommendations for mitigating landslide occurrences. The techniques employed in this study include the RMR and SMR methods for assessing the susceptibility of landslides, collectively with the Morgenstern-price limit equilibrium approach for estimating the stability of the slope. Based on the analysis of the rock mass rating (RMR) and slope mass rating (SMR), Block B2 exhibits a 20% likelihood of experiencing landslides, specifically due to block joint characteristics. On the other hand, Blocks B4 and B5 show a 40% potential for landslides, primarily associated with flat or wedge-type block joints. The force produced by friction under saturated conditions is comparatively lower than that observed under dry conditions. During the final design phase in 2022, it was observed that Blocks B4 and B5 exhibit critical and dangerous safety factors when saturated. Hence, the proposal has been suggested to enhance slope stability. Further, it is recommended to monitor the geotechnical piles periodically. We hope this research results as a valuable resource for evaluating and assessing slope stability, including artificial and natural slopes.

Abstract:The availability of embankment material and the quality of the material is one of the problems in planning a dam, especially impermeable material which must be watertight. With the GeoStudio application, the dam will be modeled to observe the stability of the dam, especially against landslides and seepage. Modeling I is modeled with core zone material using upstream borrow clay material and modeling II using downstream borrow clay material. Modeling III and IV used the same core material with the addition geomembrane material between the transition zone and the upstream filter. The geomembrane was added to observe and compare the effect of use on the stability. The weir body was analyzed under conditions when the weir body was completed, flood water level, normal water level, low water level and rapid drawndown water condition. Modeling III with upstream borrow clay material and geomembrane between the transition zone and upstream filter is the design with the best stability with the most critical avalanche safety factor of 2.459 downstream of the weir under flood water level conditions. The seepage discharge downstream of the weir is 0.0017 m3/dt/m and the maximum seepage discharge is 0.0026 m3/dt/m under flood water level conditions.

Abstract:Economic growth that increases the traffic load on national roads requires these roads to have decent, safe and comfortable services. Landslide was occurred on the Sekayu-Mangun Jaya STA 127+350 road section which disrupted traffic activity. This occurrence caused the major road to shift sideways and deteriorate, rendering the route's service capacity insufficient. The road section has been repaired and is planned to use soil retaining wall reinforcement as a countermeasure. This study aims to determine the slope stability of the Sekayu-Mangun Jaya road before and after reinforcement is carried out. Slope stability analysis was performed by empirical methods using infinite slope theory and the finite element method using the Plaxis program. The calculation results show that the safety factor of the slope before the retaining wall is installed at BH-01 is 0.9. This value falls under the category of unstable slope. The safety factor at the BH-02 location was obtained at 1.3 in the moderate stability category. Slope stability after strengthening with the installation of embankments and retaining walls shows an increase in the safety factor at BH-01 to 2.59. After the slope reinforcement was carried out, the slope deformation decreased significantly to 1.5 m. The results implicated that with slope reinforcement, slope stability increases and the possibility of landslides decreases.

Abstract:The purpose of this research is to identify the type of crane hoist and examine the maintenance procedure that must be followed if the PLTA Maninjau Intake Hoist crane sustains damage. At the Maninjau hydropower facility, two treatments are carried out: routine maintenance and repair maintenance. Preventive maintenance (routine) is frequently performed on the PLTA Maninjau intake hoist crane four times a month / once a week. Corrective type maintenance is performed for transformer and contactor damage because it replaces components. As for pendan damage, only predictive type maintenance is carried out. Initially, each crane equipment was checked, then tested by operating the crane and checking which parts had malfunctioned or were damaged based on their use. If the crane being operated is damaged, then a re-check is carried out on the circuit or on the crane equipment that has failed. If the crane has no problem/damage, it means that the crane is in good condition and the inspection is complete.
