Abstract:Approximately half of all students who enroll in college never complete their program, and students who do complete often struggle, developing limited skills along the way (Arum and Roksa 2011). Student effort is a key determinant of academic outcomes, and many students devote little time to regular studying (Babcock and Marks 2011).
